Lewisville is an unincorporated community in northern Clarke County, Virginia. Lewisville lies on Lewisville Road to the southwest of Franklintown, West Virginia.

Gaylord is an unincorporated community in northern Clarke County, Virginia. Gaylord is located on Lord Fairfax Highway (U.S. Route 340). The community had its own post office in operation from 1880 to 1956.

Fairfield Farms is a historic estate house located near Berryville, Clarke County, Virginia. It was built in 1768, and designed by architect John Ariss and built for Warner Washington, first cousin to George Washington. During his surveying for Lord Fairfax, George Washington helped survey and layout the property for John Aris. It is a five-part complex with a 2+1⁄2-story hipped-roof central block having walls of irregular native limestone ashlar throughout. It is in the Georgian style. Located on the property are a contributing large brick, frame and stone barn and an overseer's house.In February 2018, Fairfield Farms was purchased by developer Charles Paret, a Virginia native, who was unsuccessful in his endeavor to develop the property. Fairfield was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970.

Ripon Lodge, located near the village of Rippon, West Virginia, was built in 1833 by Henry S. Turner on his "Wheatland" estate. The next year his son, William F. Turner, inherited Ripon Lodge. The house is a two-story T-shaped stone building with a detached 1+1⁄2-story stone summer kitchen. The interior contains an elegant half-spiral curving stairway to the second floor.The Lodge was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Rippon is an unincorporated community in Jefferson County, West Virginia, United States, located south of Charles Town and designated as a village by the Jefferson County Commission. The village of Rippon developed in the mid-19th century at the crossroads of the Berryville and Charles Town Turnpike (U.S. Route 340), Withers-LaRue Road, and Myerstown Road. The town was named after nearby Ripon Lodge, although an extra "p" was added to avoid confusion with a town in Wisconsin. According to the 2000 census, the town has a population of 223.

Feagans' Mill Complex is a historic mill site at 28 Feagans' Mill Lane in Charles Town, West Virginia. The property has a documented history to 1795, and includes traces of evolutionary changes in usage over from then until its closure in 1943. The last mill building, constructed in 1940, is set on the original c. 1795 foundation. Adjacent to it are a c. 1820 miller's house enlarged about 1885, and a log smokehouse from the same time period.The mill was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2017.

Cool Spring Farm, located near Charles Town, West Virginia was first established along Bullskin Run around 1750. The Federal style second house on the property, built in 1813, is extant, with a Greek Revival–influenced third house, built in 1832 that shows the evolution of the farmstead. The farm is significant as an example of agricultural development in the Bullskin Run district and as examples of Greek Revival and Federal style vernacular design.

The William Grubb Farm, also known as Conway and Brook Manor, is located near Charles Town, West Virginia. Built c. 1763 by William Grubb Jr., the house is a "stone-ender," with stone masonry at the gable ends of the house and log construction on the long sides, now covered with clapboards. The complex includes the house, a well course (1920), a corn crib (c. 1850), a barn (c. 1850), and a Quaker burial ground (c. 1759 and onwards).

Wheatland is an unincorporated community in Jefferson County, West Virginia, United States. Wheatland lies along Bullskin Run on the Berryville Pike (U.S. Route 340) at its junction with County Route 340/2.

Stringtown is an unincorporated community in northern Clarke County, Virginia.

Smithfield Farm is a historic plantation house and farm located near Berryville, Clarke County, Virginia, United States. The manor house was completed in 1824, and is a two-story, five-bay, brick dwelling in the Federal style. It has a low-hipped roof and front and rear porticos. Also on the property are a schoolteacher's residence and a combination farm office and a summer kitchen, each with stepped parapet faҫades. Also on the property are the contributing large brick bank barn (1822), a brick equipment shed, a slave quarters, and a stone stable, all built around 1820, and a wooden barn (c. 1830).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001. Presently the house is a popular bed & breakfast, and home to organic farmer and New York Times best-selling author Forrest Pritchard, son of Ruth Smith Pritchard, owner of the bed and breakfast and a direct descendant of the original owners of Smithfield.

White House Farm, also known as White House Tavern and the Dr. John McCormick House, listed in the National Register of Historic Places, is located in Jefferson County, West Virginia, near the small town of Summit Point, about six miles from Charles Town, West Virginia. The farm consists of a ca. 1740 farmhouse, a stone barn (the oldest standing in West Virginia), a springhouse of about the same age, a wooden curing shed, and 60+ acres of pasture and woods. The farm is one of the oldest in the county and has a rich history.
