Fairfield (Berryville, Virginia)

Gaylord is an unincorporated community in northern Clarke County, Virginia. Gaylord is located on Lord Fairfax Highway (U.S. Route 340). The community had its own post office in operation from 1880 to 1956.

Smithfield Farm is a historic plantation house and farm located near Berryville, Clarke County, Virginia, United States. The manor house was completed in 1824, and is a two-story, five-bay, brick dwelling in the Federal style. It has a low-hipped roof and front and rear porticos. Also on the property are a schoolteacher's residence and a combination farm office and a summer kitchen, each with stepped parapet faҫades. Also on the property are the contributing large brick bank barn (1822), a brick equipment shed, a slave quarters, and a stone stable, all built around 1820, and a wooden barn (c. 1830).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001. Presently the house is a popular bed & breakfast, and home to organic farmer and New York Times best-selling author Forrest Pritchard, son of Ruth Smith Pritchard, owner of the bed and breakfast and a direct descendant of the original owners of Smithfield.

Wickliffe Church is a historic Episcopal church building located in Berryville, Clarke County, Virginia. The church has not been in active use since 1918, except for an annual homecoming service held in August and occasional special events.

Lewisville is an unincorporated community in northern Clarke County, Virginia. Lewisville lies on Lewisville Road to the southwest of Franklintown, West Virginia.

Rippon is an unincorporated community in Jefferson County, West Virginia, United States, located south of Charles Town and designated as a village by the Jefferson County Commission. The village of Rippon developed in the mid-19th century at the crossroads of the Berryville and Charles Town Turnpike (U.S. Route 340), Withers-LaRue Road, and Myerstown Road. The town was named after nearby Ripon Lodge, although an extra "p" was added to avoid confusion with a town in Wisconsin. According to the 2000 census, the town has a population of 223.

Long Marsh Run Rural Historic District is a national historic district located just outside Berryville, in Clarke County, Virginia. It encompasses 315 contributing buildings, 16 contributing sites, and 35 contributing structures. The district includes the agricultural landscape and architectural resources of an area distinctively rural that contains numerous large antebellum and postbellum estates, and several smaller 19th-century farms, churches, schools and African-American communities. Long Marsh Run Rural Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.

Ripon Lodge, located near the village of Rippon, West Virginia, was built in 1833 by Henry S. Turner on his "Wheatland" estate. The next year his son, William F. Turner, inherited Ripon Lodge. The house is a two-story T-shaped stone building with a detached 1+1⁄2-story stone summer kitchen. The interior contains an elegant half-spiral curving stairway to the second floor.The Lodge was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Webbtown is an unincorporated community in Clarke County in the U.S. state of Virginia. Webbtown lies to the east of Berryville on Harry Byrd Highway (Virginia State Route 7) at its intersection with Wickliffe Road (VA 608).

Norwood is a historic plantation house and farm located near Berryville, Clarke County, Virginia. The main house was built about 1819, and consists of a two-story, three-bay, brick main block with two-story, brick side wing in the Federal-style. The front facade features a classical one-story, one-bay portico with Doric order columns. Also on the property are the contributing brick meathouse, which dates to the same period as the main house; a late 19th-century frame tenant house; and several late 19th-century agricultural buildings.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.
