The Lyceum of the Philippines University – Laguna (formerly Lyceum Institute of Technology), one of the campuses of the Lyceum of the Philippines University, is an institute of higher education located in Km. 54, Brgy. Makiling, Calamba in the province of Laguna, Philippines. It was founded by Senator Sotero H. Laurel on January 18, 2000 as the third campus of the LPU system after Manila and Batangas. Currently, Lyceum of the Philippines University has 43 degree, non-degree, masters, and doctorate programs to offer.

First Philippine Industrial Park, established in 1996, comprises 520 hectares (1,300 acres) ecozone located in the cities of Tanauan and Santo Tomas in the province of Batangas, Philippines. Divided into three phases, currently has 67 occupants, including 37 Japanese firms and approximately 30,000 employees on site. Exports in 2011 amounted to US$1.41 billion, according to the company’s latest data. The project is a joint venture between Sumitomo Corporation and First Philippine Holdings Corporation.

Kay-Anlog is a component barangay of the city in Calamba, Laguna, Philippines, situated in the southern part of the city, adjacent to the barangays of Milagrosa, Burol, Bubuyan, and Ulango.

Mount Makiling (also spelled Maquiling) is an inactive stratovolcano located in the provinces of Laguna and Batangas on the island of Luzon in the Philippines. The mountain rises to an elevation of 1,090 meters (3,580 ft) above mean sea level and is the highest feature of the Laguna Volcanic Field. The volcano has no recorded historic eruption but volcanism is still evident through geothermal features like mud spring and hot springs. South of the mountain is the Makiling–Banahaw Geothermal Plant. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) classifies the volcano as "Inactive". Mount Makiling is a state-owned forest reserve administered by the University of the Philippines Los Baños. Prior to its transfer to the university, the mountain was the first national park of the Philippines. Mount Makiling National Park was established on February 23, 1933, by Proclamation No. 552. However, it was decommissioned as a national park on June 20, 1963, by Republic Act No. 3523 when it was transferred to the university for use in forestry education and information. The mountain is sacred to many pilgrims and is widely believed to be the home of an anito named Maria Makiling. It is one of the most known bundok dambanas in Calabarzon. It was declared as an ASEAN Heritage Park in 2013, with the title of "Mount Makiling Forest Reserve".

Pansol station is a railway station located on the South Main Line in Calamba, Laguna, Philippines. The station once had a rail yard with four tracks. The single main line track had a long passing loop that contained another, shorter passing loop. It also contained a refuge which led to a ballast pit. The station is 60 km from Tutuban.The station is considered abandoned until 2019; the platform is its only noticeable vestige. It is a flag stop for the line as there are no platforms yet being erected, temporary stairs for the trains are added in the meantime to facilitate loading and unloading.

Punta is a rural barangay of Calamba, Laguna in the Philippines. It is situated in the central-south portion of the city.

Turbina is an urban barangay of Calamba in Laguna. It is geographically situated in the south of the city. Turbina is known for the barangay terminal station of Calamba, located at the Maharlika Highway, which is accessible by South Luzon Expressway's Calamba Exit.

Punta Integrated School formerly known as Punta National High School is a public high school in Punta, Calamba, Laguna, Philippines. It offers both junior high school (grades 7–10) and senior high school (grades 11–12).

On September 1, 2019, a Beechcraft King Air 350 crashed into a tourist resort in Calamba, Laguna, Philippines while performing a medevac flight from Dipolog to Manila. All nine occupants aboard were killed in the crash.

The Calamba City Hall (Filipino: Gusaling Panlungsod ng Calamba), officially the City Hall of Calamba is located in the plaza of Calamba, Laguna in the Philippines. It is where the mayor of the city holds office and the chambers in the Calamba City Council., The old Calamba City Hall was located near the St. John the Baptist Parish Church and the Calamba Claypot.

The Rizal Monument in Calamba is a monument built to commemorate the sesquicentennial (150th) birth anniversary of Dr. José Rizal, the Philippines' unofficial national hero and the greatest son of Calamba. It is a 6.7 metres (22 ft) statue sculpted by Jonas Roces and is located at The Plaza, a 6.7-hectare (17-acre) park in front of the Calamba City Hall Complex along Bacnotan Road in the barangay of Real. President Benigno Aquino III led the unveiling of the monument on June 19, 2011. The monument was cited as the tallest Rizal monument in the world before former Laguna Governor Jeorge 'E.R.' Ejercito Estregan inaugurated a 26 feet bronze Rizal Monument sculpted by Toym Imao, son of National Artist for Sculpture Abdulmari Asia Imao in Santa Cruz, Laguna, for the 2014 Palarong Pambansa hosted by the province.

Real is a barangay in the city of Calamba. It is also where the new Calamba City Hall and the Rizal Monument are located.
