Chorltonville is a garden village in Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Manchester, England. It retains much of its original character, including architecture inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement.

Hardy Farm tram stop was a proposed future tram stop on the phase 3b plans to Manchester Airport, which would have been on the north side of Sale Water Park. It was due to open in 2016 but was dropped from the plans.

Chorlton Poor Law Union was founded in January 1837 in response to the Poor Law Amendment Act 1834, also known as the New Poor Law. It was overseen by an elected board of 19 guardians representing the 12 parishes in the area it served: Ardwick, Burnage, Chorlton-upon-Medlock, Chorlton with Hardy, Didsbury, Gorton, Hulme, Levenshulme, Moss Side, Rusholme, Stretford, and Withington, all (apart from Stretford) in present day south Manchester, England.

Different parts of this ward are represented by different MPs following boundary changes in 2018; the majority of the ward is part of the Manchester Withington constituency but a portion is part of the Manchester Gorton constituency. The 2011 Census recorded a population of 14,138.

Chorlton-cum-Hardy Golf Club is a golf club in Chorlton-cum-Hardy in the southern suburbs of Manchester, England. It is separated from Sale Golf Club to the south only by the River Mersey. The clubhouse of the golf club is located at Barlow Hall, originally built in the 13th century, but rebuilt by Alexander Barlow in 1584. Edward Barlow was born at Barlow Hall in 1585 and was hanged for adhering to the Catholic faith at Lancaster Gaol in 1641. He was later canonized as Saint Ambrose Barlow in 1970 and his ghost reportedly haunts the upper floors of the hall. Although a golf course had existed here for centuries the modern formal club was established in 1903. In September 2011 it hosted the Mersey Championship.

St Clement's Church is an active Anglican parish church in Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Manchester, England. Its daughter church, St Barnabas (opened 1951), serves the Barlow Moor estate and south Chorlton. St Clement's is in the Hulme deanery in the diocese of Manchester.

Sale Water Park is a tram stop for Phase 3b of the Manchester Metrolink. It opened on 3 November 2014. and is on the Airport Line on Rifle Road near the Sale Water Park.The stop has a 300-space car park which is free for Metrolink passengers. Despite this, the stop is one of the least used on the Metrolink network.

The Chorlton Park Apartments, is a green apartment building in Chorlton, Manchester, England. It was designed by architect Roger Stephenson and built as part of collaboration between Tom Bloxham's development company Urban Splash and Irwell Valley in 2002. The development won a number of awards including the Housing Design Award in 2001, Roses Design Awards - best residential project in 2002 and in 2003 won the MSA Design Award in the residential section. Its most prestigious award came in 2004 when it was awarded the Royal Institute of British Architects RIBA Award.Architect Roger Stephenson liked the design so much that he bought a top floor apartment for himself.

Chorlton-cum-Hardy is a suburban area of Manchester, England, three miles (4.8 km) southwest of the city centre. Chorlton ward had a population of 14,138 at the 2011 census, and Chorlton Park 15,147.By the 9th century, there was an Anglo-Saxon settlement here. In the Middle Ages, improved drainage methods led to population growth. In the late Victorian and Edwardian periods, its rural character made it popular among the middle class. The loss of its railway station, the conversion of larger houses into flats or bedsitters, and significant social housing development to the south of the area changed its character again in the 1970s. However, the existing Manchester Metrolink tram stop called Chorlton was built on the site of that former railway station and from Manchester, it is served by East Didsbury trams and Manchester Airport trams. Historically, Chorlton was a village on Lancashire's southern border with Cheshire, and a township within the ancient parish of Manchester. It was incorporated into the city of Manchester in 1904. Chorlton borders Stretford, Sale, Didsbury, Withington, and Whalley Range. The River Mersey runs past Chorlton along its southern boundary. The area's eastern boundary has changed since the 19th century because of incorporation into the City of Manchester and division into wards.

Chorlton is a stop on the South Manchester Line (SML) and Airport Line of the Metrolink light-rail system in Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Manchester, England. It was built as part of Phase 3a of the network's expansion, and opened on 7 July 2011 on a section of the former Cheshire Lines Committee railway.

Barlow Moor Road is a tram stop on the Airport Line of the Manchester Metrolink. It opened on 3 November 2014. and is on the Airport line on Mauldeth Road West next to the junction of Barlow Moor Road.

Unicorn Grocery is a co-operative grocery store located in Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Manchester, England. As a workers co-op, it is controlled democratically by its members/owners, who run the business with a flat management structure and with an equal rate of pay. Ethics form the foundations of the business, and Unicorn's Principles of Purpose are the framework within which the business operates. Unicorn is closely connected to local sister company Glebelands City Growers in Sale and owns 21 acres (8.5 ha) of peri-urban growing land at Glazebury, Cheshire. It sells fresh, dried and processed food and drink, much of it organic and with a focus on local and Fairtrade sourcing, as well as household, bodycare and general grocery items. Keeping prices in line with the supermarkets, Unicorn is one of the largest independent wholefood groceries in the UK and has an annual turnover of around £7 million. In 2017, it won the BBC Food & Farming Awards 'Best Food Retailer'. During 2008 it won two national awards, named BBC Radio's 'Best Local Food Retailer' and The Observer Food Monthly's 'Best Independent Retailer'.
