The Rocco B. Commisso Soccer Stadium is a 3,500 seat soccer-specific stadium located in Inwood, on the northernmost tip of the island of Manhattan, New York City, within the Baker Athletic Complex. The stadium is named in honor of Rocco B. Commisso, former co-captain of Columbia's 1970 varsity soccer team, current owner and Chairman of the New York Cosmos and ACF Fiorentina, and the head of cable television provider Mediacom.

The Seaman-Drake Arch, also known as the Inwood Arch, is a remnant of a hilltop estate built in 1855 in the Inwood neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City by the Seaman family. Located at 5065 Broadway at West 216th Street, the arch was built from Inwood marble quarried nearby. It is 35 feet (10.67 m) tall, 20 feet (6.10 m) deep, and 40 feet (12.19 m) wide, and was once the gateway to the estate.Today, the arch, which is said to be modeled on the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, is partially obscured from view by low-rise commercial buildings, and has been tagged by graffitists; its soft marble facade is decaying. The south side of the structure is used for storage by the transmission repair shop it is behind.

Hal Robertson Field at Phillip Satow Stadium is a baseball venue in New York, New York, United States. It is home to the Columbia Lions baseball team of the NCAA Division I Ivy League. The facility is named for two Columbia baseball alumni– Hal Robertson (class of 1981) and Phillip Satow (class of 1963). In 2007, a FieldTurf surface was installed, allowing for more use of the field during the offseason. In 2010, chairback seats were added, and the dugouts, press box, and scoreboard were renovated.The field is located at the northern tip of the island of Manhattan, at 218th Street and Broadway. The close proximity of the Spuyten Duyvil Creek, which separates the island from the Bronx, means that the venue's center field fence is extremely shallow in comparison with its left and right field fences.The venue hosted the Ivy League Baseball Championship Series in 2010, 2013, and 2014. Dartmouth won the 2010 series, while Columbia swept the opening doubleheader in front of 952 spectators to win the 2013 series. The Lions won again in 2014.

The 215th Street station is a local station on the IRT Broadway–Seventh Avenue Line of the New York City Subway. Located at the intersection of 215th Street and Tenth Avenue in the Manhattan neighborhood of Inwood, it is served by the 1 train at all times. It is the northernmost subway station in the system on Manhattan Island.

Robert K. Kraft Field at Lawrence A. Wien Stadium, officially known as Robert K. Kraft Field at Lawrence A. Wien Stadium at Baker Athletics Complex, is a stadium in the Inwood neighborhood at the northern tip of the island of Manhattan, New York City. Part of Columbia University's Baker Athletics Complex, it is primarily used for American football, lacrosse, and track and field events. The stadium opened in 1984 and holds 17,100 people.

The Park Terrace West-West 217th Street Historic District is a small historic district located in the Inwood neighborhood of Upper Manhattan, New York City. It was designated by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission on December 11, 2018.

The Broadway Bridge is a vertical-lift bridge across the Harlem River Ship Canal in the borough of Manhattan in New York City. It connects the neighborhoods of Inwood on Manhattan Island and Marble Hill on the mainland. The bridge consists of two decks. The lower deck carries Broadway, which is designated as U.S. Route 9 at this location. The upper deck carries the New York City Subway's IRT Broadway–Seventh Avenue Line, serving the 1 train. The site was previously occupied by two successive swing bridges. The first, known as the Harlem Ship Canal Bridge, was built between 1893 and 1895 to cross the canal, which had been constructed to bypass a meandering alignment of the Spuyten Duyvil Creek. By the first decade of the 20th century, the construction of the city's first subway line had made the original bridge obsolete, and a double-decker span called the 225th Street Bridge was built to accommodate the subway line above highway traffic. Between 1905 and 1906, the second bridge was installed, and the first bridge was relocated southward on the Harlem River, becoming the University Heights Bridge. The current bridge was constructed between 1957 and 1962 to replace the second span. It contains a navigable channel 304 feet (93 m) wide. The bridge provides 136 feet (41 m) of vertical clearance when it is in the open position and 25 feet (7.6 m) of vertical clearance in the closed position.

On October 3, 1962, a boiler exploded in a New York Telephone Company building in Upper Manhattan, killing 23 people and injuring 94.

Marble Hill station is a commuter rail stop on the Metro-North Railroad's Hudson Line, serving the Marble Hill neighborhood of Manhattan in New York City. The station is located at 1 West 225th Street, two blocks west of the Broadway Bridge on the north side of the Harlem River, near the New York City Subway's Marble Hill–225th Street station (which serves the 1 train). The Marble Hill station is frequently used by commuters going to and from the Manhattan neighborhoods of the Upper West Side, Washington Heights, Hudson Heights and Inwood; about a third of the station's daily ridership disembarks at Marble Hill to transfer to the subway.Marble Hill used to be one of four express stations on the Hudson Line south of Croton–Harmon; most trains stopped there, except for peak-hour trains to and from Poughkeepsie. However, as of November 9, 2014, the only express trains that stop there are a few reverse peak trains in the morning, though most trains originating in or terminating at Croton do stop at the station.

Muscota Marsh is a one-acre public park in the Inwood section of the borough of Manhattan in New York City, on the shore of Spuyten Duyvil Creek, a section of the Harlem River. It is adjacent to the much larger Inwood Hill Park and Columbia University's Baker Athletics Complex. The park is notable for its views and for its ecological conservation features."Muscota" comes from a Lenape word meaning "place of rushes" or "place in the reeds". Muscota Marsh is unusual for having both a freshwater marsh and a salt marsh in such a tiny area. Besides attracting plant and animal life, these wetlands are intended to help filter rainwater runoff and thereby improve the water quality of the river. Other facilities include a dock for kayaks and canoes, benches, and walking paths. A wooden deck overlooking the river provides views of Inwood Hill Park, the Henry Hudson Bridge, and the New Jersey Palisades.Opened to the public in January 2014, the park was constructed by Columbia University as part of a deal to construct the new Campbell Sports Center within its adjacent athletics complex. It was designed by James Corner Field Operations, which also worked on Manhattan's High Line. It is cooperatively administered by the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation and Columbia, with the university providing maintenance and security.
