Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology

The Skolkovo Innovation Center is a high technology business area at Mozhaysky District in Moscow, Russia. Although historically Russia has been successful with development of science and technology, its lack of entrepreneur spirit led to government intervention of patents and nonproliferation of Russian tech companies beyond the scope of regional service. As corporations and individuals become "residents" of the city, proposed projects and ideas receive financial assistance. Skolkovo was first announced on 12 November 2009 by then Russian President Dmitry Medvedev. The complex is headed by Viktor Vekselberg and co-chaired by former Intel CEO Craig Barrett.

The school, founded in 2006, is a joint project between major Russian and international business leaders. SKOLKOVO Business School is funded solely by its commercial activities and private investment. One of the first SKOLKOVO International Advisory Board members was Lee Kuan Yew, the Minister Mentor of the Republic of Singapore.

The Church of St. Igor of Chernigov (Russian: Церковь Святого Игоря Черниговского) is a Russian Orthodox church in the Novo-Peredelkino District of the Western Administrative Okrug in Moscow. It is dedicated to St. Igor of Chernigov and Kiev. It is located near the summer residence of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia in Novo-Peredelkino. The idea of building a large church next to the Patriarch's residence belonged to Patriarch Alexy II. In 2005, he approved the project and approved the decision to consecrate a temple in honor of St. Grand Prince Igor of Chernigov and Kiev. Patriarch Alexy pointed out the place and blessed the start of construction of the temple, which is in the same year launched by a Closed Joint Stock Company 'Baltic Construction Company'. The building was designed by Alexandr Shipkov. On January 20, 2010, Patriarch Kirill performed the rite of consecration of the foundation stone in the foundation of the temple of the Holy Prince Igor of Chernigov. On March 4, 2011, Patriarch Kirill of blessed the crosses and the bells of the church under construction. On June 17, 2012, Patriarch Kirill performed the rite of the great consecration of the cathedral church and served the first Divine Liturgy in the church. The church is designed for 1,200 people. The domes have bright colors and patterns harking back to Saint Basil's Cathedral. The church is included in the Mikhailovsky deanery of the Moscow Diocese.

Mozhaysky District (Russian: Можа́йский райо́н) is a territorial division (a district, or raion) in Western Administrative Okrug, one of the 125 in the federal city of Moscow, Russia. It is located in the west of the federal city. The area of the district is 17.526 square kilometers (6.767 sq mi). As of the 2010 Census, the total population of the district was 132,373. Mozhaysky District takes its name after Mozhayskoe Highway, the district's major road, which in turn was named after the old Mozhayskaya road which lead to Mozhaysk town, located 110 kilometers (68 mi) to the west of Moscow, which was protecting west approach routes to Moscow since 13th century.From 1 July, 2012, the district also includes the territory of the Skolkovo Innovation Center. As a municipal division, the district is incorporated as Mozhaysky Municipal Okrug.

Rostec is the largest shareholder, controlling 39% of the institute.The VILS Scientific Production Association consists of the All-Russian Institute of Light Alloys, the Light Alloy Works, and the Zubtsov Engineering Plant. It is one of several metallurgical organizations which developed and manufactured semi-finished products from steel, aluminum, magnesium, titanium, nickel and super alloys for the Soviet Ministry of the Aviation Industry. VILS markets extrusions, forgings and semi-finished metallurgical products as well as laminated and composite materials, special coatings for tools, and designs for metallurgical equipment.
