Chlyne Lohner

The Bunderchrinde Pass is a mountain pass of the Bernese Alps. The pass crosses the col between the peaks of Gross Lohner and Chlyne Lohner, at an elevation of 2,385 m (7,825 ft).The pass is traversed by a hiking track, which connects Kandersteg, at an elevation of 1,174 m (3,852 ft) in the valley of the Kander river, with Adelboden, at an elevation of 1,350 m (4,430 ft) in the valley of the Engstlige river. The track forms part of the Alpine Pass Route, a long-distance hiking trail across Switzerland between Sargans and Montreux.

The Bunderspitz is a mountain of the Bernese Alps, located between Adelboden and Kandersteg in the canton of Bern. The summit can be reached by a trail from both sides.

The Gross Lohner (also spelled Gross Loner, German: Great Lohner), is a limestone mountain of the Bernese Alps, located between Adelboden and Kandersteg in the Bernese Oberland. The main summit has an elevation of 3,048.7 metres (10,002 ft) above sea level and is distinguished by the name Vorder Lohner ("Fore Lohner"). The mountain features several other peaks, from east to west: Nünihorn, 2,717 metres (8,914 ft) Hinder Lohner (Rear Lohner), 2,929 metres (9,610 ft) Mittler Lohner (Central Lohner), 3,002 metres (9,849 ft) Mittaghorn, 2,678 metres (8,786 ft)The Lohner range is located east of Adelboden in the Engstlige valley and southwest of Kandersteg in Kander valley. The Gross Lohner is separated from the Chlyne Lohner (Small Lohner) to the north by the Bunderchrinde Pass, which provides a hiking route between Adelboden and Kandersteg.The first tourist to climb the Lohner was one C. Dürheim from Bern in July 1876. In August of the same year, four members of the Alpine Club, during another ascent, found a bottle with the names of the two Kandersteg mountain guides Ogi and Hari, dated 1875.Approximately halfways up the rock face, the Lohner hut can be found, which can be reached by skilled hikers without proper climbing. The mountain with its many screes is almost only accessible by one of its three ridges. From the Lohner hut, the Mittler Lohner can be reached via the face by skilled climbers.

Kandersteg is a municipality in the Frutigen-Niedersimmental administrative district in the canton of Bern in Switzerland. It is located along the valley of the River Kander, west of the Jungfrau massif. It is noted for its spectacular mountain scenery and sylvan alpine landscapes. Tourism is a very significant part of its economic life today. It offers outdoor activities year-round, with hiking trails and mountain climbing as well as downhill and cross-country skiing. Kandersteg hosted the ski jumping and Nordic combined parts of the 2018 Nordic Junior World Ski Championships.

Kandersteg is a railway station in the Swiss canton of Bern and municipality of Kandersteg. The station is located on the Lötschberg line of the BLS AG, and is the first station to the north of the Lötschberg tunnel.The station is served by the following passenger train: The station is also the northern terminus of the BLS car carrying shuttle train to Goppenstein station via the Lötschberg tunnel, with trains running every 30 minutes. There is no road across the Lötschen Pass, under which the tunnel runs, and the nearest alternative road crossings lie many kilometres to the east and west.The station is also served by PostAuto bus services to Mitholz, Blausee, Kandergrund and Frutigen and to Selden in the Gastertal.

The Elsighorn is a mountain in the Bernese Alps, overlooking Kandergrund in the Bernese Oberland.

The Tschingellochtighorn is a mountain of the Bernese Alps, located south of Adelboden in the Bernese Oberland. It overlooks the Engstligenalp on its western side.

Blausee (literally: Blue Lake) is a lake in Bernese Oberland, Kandergrund, Switzerland. It is located near the Kander river. The lake has an elevation of 887 metres (2,910 ft) and an area of 0.64 hectares (1.6 acres).

Mitholz or Blausee-Mitholz is a village in Kandergrund municipality in the canton of Bern in Switzerland, with 170 inhabitants as of 2020. Blausee-Mitholz is a station on the Lötschberg railway line. A munitions storage explosion in 1947 destroyed the village and killed 9 people. A safety study commissioned in 2018 found that the site still contained munitions and was unsafe, and in 2020 the government announced that the village must be temporarily abandoned in 2030 for a clean-up that is projected to last 10 years.
