Boiling Point is an archaic placename in the Antelope Valley of the Mojave Desert, in northern Los Angeles County, California, United States The name refers to a landmark hill along the Sierra Highway, 12 mi (19 km), west of Palmdale, where "many radiators blew their stacks after a tedious climb. Traffic would back up for miles."

California's 25th congressional district is a congressional district in the U.S. state of California. The district is currently represented by Democrat Raul Ruiz. The district includes all of Imperial County and parts of Riverside County and San Bernardino County. Cities in the new 25th district include Cathedral City, Indio, Coachella, El Centro, Calexico, San Jacinto, Hemet, and Needles. Most of the majority-Latino parts of the Coachella Valley are in the 25th, while the rest of the valley is in the 41st district.

Acton (pronunciation) is an unincorporated census-designated place in Los Angeles County, California, near the Antelope Valley. According to the 2010 census, Acton had a population of 7,596. Acton is a small residential community located between the Sierra Pelona Mountains and the San Gabriel Mountains. It is off the Antelope Valley Freeway (Highway 14) south of Palmdale. Acton is roughly 20 miles (32 km) northeast of the San Fernando Valley, and 47 miles (76 km) north of downtown Los Angeles by highway. The town has a rural western theme which can be seen in its homes, commercial buildings and historical buildings, some of which date back to the late 1800s. The homes in the mountains around Acton have views of the valley below. In the valley are ranch style homes, often with equestrian facilities. While Acton is not a part of the Antelope Valley, it is grouped together with the Valley in the General Plan. Acton has a Metrolink commuter rail station on its border with Palmdale that is themed in an "old western" style and has been seen in various movies and commercials.

The Sierra Pelona Valley AVA is an American Viticultural Area in a valley of the Sierra Pelona Mountains, located in northwestern Los Angeles County, California. The valley is a part of the High Desert region on the southwestern edge of the Antelope Valley and Mojave Desert. The AVA is northwest of Metropolitan Los Angeles in Southern California.

Agua Dulce Airpark (FAA LID: L70), also known as Agua Dulce Airport, is a public-use airport located 2 miles (3.2 km) east of the central business district of Agua Dulce, in Los Angeles County, California, United States. The plans for an airport at Agua Dulce began in 1958. Aircraft modification engineer Robert W. Lillibridge and Northrop test pilot Errol Williams purchased the vacant acreage for the airport. The costs of subsequent improvements were financed by millionaire businessman Jim Annin. A special permit to begin building was required. On October 27, 1959, special permit case No. 1404-(5) was granted by the Regional Planning Commission of Los Angeles County. In the 1990s, local residents fought an attempt by Los Angeles County to buy the airpark and convert it to a regional airport. In October 2005, former airport owner Barry Kirschner sold the property to Wayne and Connie Spears, owners of Spears Manufacturing and Spears Motorsports.

Shambala Preserve is an animal sanctuary established in 1972 and located in Acton, California, a desert community 10 miles (16 km) southwest of Palmdale, off of California State Route 14 and 40 miles (64 km) north of Los Angeles.

Agua Dulce () (Spanish for "Sweet Water") is a census-designated place in Los Angeles County, California, United States. It lies at an elevation of 2,526 feet (770 m), northeast of Santa Clarita. The community had a population of 3,342 at the 2010 census and covers a geographic area of about 23 square miles (59 km2). Agua Dulce is on the Pacific Crest Trail. The ZIP code is 91390 (shared with Green Valley and far northern Santa Clarita), and the area code is 661.

Highland High School is located in Palmdale, California and is part of the Antelope Valley Union High School District. About 4,000 students attend Highland High School in grades 9 through 12. It received a California Distinguished School award in 2005. Highland High School was founded in 1989 in response to Palmdale's rapid population growth. Palmdale High School was not large enough to serve the children of the new families moving into the Antelope Valley. Highland High School is now the largest high school under the Antelope Valley Union High School District. Vasquez Rocks Natural Area Park is a 932-acre (377-hectare) park located in the Sierra Pelona in northern Los Angeles County, California. It is known for its rock formations, the result of sedimentary layering and later seismic uplift. It is located near the town of Agua Dulce, between the cities of Santa Clarita and Palmdale. The area is visible from the Antelope Valley Freeway (State Route 14). Its location approximately 25 miles (40 km) from downtown Los Angeles places it within Hollywood's "studio zone" and makes it a popular filming location for films and television programs.

The Vasquez Formation (Tvz) is a geologic formation cropping out at the eponymous Vasquez Rocks in southern California. The formation dates to the Late Oligocene to Early Miocene (Arikareean in the NALMA classification).

Leona Valley is an American Viticulture Area (AVA) in northeastern Los Angeles County, California located in the geographic, long, narrow Leona Valley surrounded by the Angeles National Forest, within the Sierra Pelona Mountains of Southern California. It is about 50 miles inland from the Pacific Ocean separated by the San Gabriel Mountains to the south and the Los Padres National Forest to the west. Portal Ridge on the northeast divides Leona Valley from Antelope Valley and the Mojave Desert. Leona Valley viticultural area was established on October 28, 2008, by the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Treasury after reviewing the petition submitted by Mr. Ralph Jens Carter, on behalf of the Antelope Valley Winegrowers Association (AVWA), the Leona Valley Winery, and Donato Vineyards proposing the viticultural area named "Leona Valley." The 8,600 acres (13.4 sq mi) Leona Valley viticulture area encompasses the town of Leona Valley.

Desert View Highlands is a census-designated place (CDP) in Los Angeles County, California, United States. The population was 2,360 at the 2010 census, up from 2,337 at the 2000 census. It is surrounded by the City of Palmdale.
