The Saint Paul Lutheran and Roman Catholic Community of Faith, formerly known as St. Paul's English Evangelical Lutheran Church is a historic church at 1600 Grant Street in Denver, Colorado, United States. It was built in a Gothic Revival style and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.It is currently home to a Reconciling in Christ community, with a mission to be an "open, affirming, and diverse community of faith representing two Christian traditions, that of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and that of the Ecumenical Catholic Church.The community previously referred to itself as a "Lutheran and Roman Catholic" community of faith. But the priest of the Catholic community was not recognized by the Roman Catholic Church; the Rocky Mountain Synod urged the parish to regularize the orders of the Catholic priest, who was eventually incardinated in the Ecumenical Catholic Church.

The Denver Formation is a geological formation that is present within the central part of the Denver Basin that underlies the Denver, Colorado, area. It ranges in age from latest Cretaceous (Maastrichtian) to early Paleocene, and includes sediments that were deposited before, during and after the Cretaceous-Paleogene boundary event.The formation is known for its paleontological resources, including dinosaur remains that are found in the Late Cretaceous part of the formation, and it includes aquifers that are important sources of water for the area.

The Closing Era is a bronze sculpture of a Native American hunter standing over a dying bison, installed on the East side of the Colorado State Capitol in Denver. The statute was created by Preston Powers, the son of famous sculptor Hiram Powers and "represents the end of the traditional lifestyle of Native Americans in Colorado". It was originally created for the Chicago World's Fair in 1893 and subsequently donated to the state of Colorado and erected on a granite base. The base originated from Cotopaxi in Fremont County, Colorado. Powers commissioned a poem from John Greenleaf Whittier for the base of the statue.The original idea came from real estate investors who wanted to commission a sandstone statue to lure newcomers to the Perry Park area of Denver. When the idea did not materialize, a group called the "Fortnightly Club" under the leadership of Mrs. E. M. Ashley and Eliza Routt determined the same idea would be a good addition to the Colorado State's exhibit at the 1893 World's Fair Exposition in Chicago. The group commissioned Powers to create the sculpture in bronze instead of sandstone.

First Baptist Church of Denver is an historic church at 230 E. 14th Avenue-1373 Grant Street in Denver, Colorado. First Baptist Church of Denver ("FBCD") was formally organized in 1864, six years after the city's founding. After serving its community in several places in Denver's downtown, its congregation's current building is located at the intersection of 14th Avenue and Grant Street, directly across from the south steps of the Colorado State Capitol. The church was designed by well-known and prolific Denver architect, G Meredith Musick, who designed the church in the Georgian architectural style. The construction of the church took place between 1935 and 1938 and it was added to the National Register in 2005.The church's mission is to be "a center of activity for Capitol Hill where people of all walks of life and systems of belief can experience conversations rooted in hope and filled with a passion to serve the needs of the broader community".Reflective of FBCD's historic involvement in social justice, the Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King, Jr. preached from FBCD's pulpit on April 16, 1962.

The Colorado State Library is the official State Library of Colorado located in Denver, Colorado. It manages the Colorado Talking Book Library (CTBL), the Colorado State Publications Library (CoSPL), Networking & Resource Sharing (NRS), Library Research Service (LRS) and provides library development opportunities for public and school libraries as well as institutional libraries. The Armenian Khachkar is a khachkar and monument dedicated to the victims of genocide, installed outside the Colorado State Capitol, in Denver. The memorial was dedicated in 2015. It was defaced in May 2020 as part of the George Floyd protests.

The neighborhood has a diverse population, and is similar to surrounding neighborhoods of Five Points and Capitol Hill, in that it cannot be defined by a single demographic. Currently, downtown is undergoing significant redevelopment and gentrification, with many young residents and transplants populating the apartments and homes that frequent the area. North Capitol Hill had a violent crime rate of 13.74 incidents per 1,000 residents in 2014, one of the ten highest rates among Denver neighborhoods. The poverty rate is also much higher than city and national averages, with 34.74% of the population living in poverty. North Capitol Hill is bordered by 20th Ave on the north, Park Ave on the northeast, Downing St on the east, Colfax Ave on the south, and Broadway on the west.

The Molly Brown House Museum (also known as House of Lions) is a house in Denver, Colorado, United States that was the home of American philanthropist, activist, and socialite Margaret Brown. Brown. She survived the sinking of the RMS Titanic and was known as the “Heroine of the Titanic” for her service to survivors. She later became known as "The Unsinkable Molly Brown". The museum is her former home and presents exhibits interpreting her life, Victorian Denver and historic preservation. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972. It is designated as a Denver Landmark.

It is composed of 35 members elected from single-member districts, with each district having a population of about 123,000 as of the 2000 census.
