The Racecourse, Northampton

Racecourse Ground Promenade was a cricket ground in Northampton, Northamptonshire, situated within what was Northampton Racecourse. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1844, when the Gentlemen of the North played the Gentlemen of the South. The ground held its only first-class match in 1872 when a United North of England Eleven played a United South of England Eleven. The ground held its final recorded match in 1885 when Northamptonshire played Warwickshire. With the demise of the racecourse in 1904, the ground is today the location of Racecourse Park, a large open public space in the centre of Northampton.

The University of Northampton is a public university based in Northampton, Northamptonshire, England. It was formed in 1999 by the amalgamation of a number of training colleges, and gained full university status as the University of Northampton in 2005.

Bosworth Independent School is a public school (English fee-charging boarding and day school), the school is co-educational. Located in Northampton, England. Bosworth is a member of the 12 Cats Colleges, all of which nationally recognised for being amongst the top performing grades at GCSE and A-Level in the UK. Previously known as Bosworth Independent College, the school's name was changed in February 2023.Bosworth charges up to £40,890 a year making it one of the most expensive schools in the UK. The school offers scholarships, one being the ‘Scholarship Of Excellence’, awarded to those who go onto study at Oxbridge. This scholarship consists of the previous two years of course and accommodation fees being reimbursed upon attendance of the first semester. Although typically scholarships are worth 30% of the course and/ or boarding fees. Yet places are exclusive in the school as is publicity due to a large number of UHNWI and celebrities children attending. The school is based around St. George’s Avenue and Barrack Road, with buildings for education and boarding being located on both. The main building being the Newton Building, acquired in 2023. Opposite the Newton Building is the racecourse, an 118 acre open space which was historically a horse racing track up until 1904.

Malcolm Arnold Academy is a mixed-gender Academy in Northampton, England, for pupils aged 11 – 18. It was established in 2010 following the closure of the Unity College in July of that year, and opened for year 7 and ages 16+ on 3 September 2010, and for other years on 6 September. The academy, which begins as an entirely new school, occupies the campus of the former Unity College and has the capacity for 1,450 pupils. The academy is a Church of England foundation academy but caters for all faiths and none. In February 2014 it was announced that the academy would be forming a Post-16 Football Scholarship scheme with local semi-professional club AFC Rushden & Diamonds. The academy has had four Principals. Mr Philip Cantwell was the first Principal and Mr Chris Steed, was Executive Principal 2014-2018, Mrs Koncarevik 2018-2019.These were followed by Executive Principal Mrs Helena Brothwell and Kimberley Lawton as Interim Principal. Mrs Megan Morris took over as Principal in September 2020 and promoted to Executive Principal in September 2022.

The Cathedral Church of St Mary and St Thomas is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Northampton, England. It is the seat of the Bishop of Northampton and mother church of the Diocese of Northampton which covers the counties of Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and part of Berkshire (formerly in Buckinghamshire) north of the River Thames. The cathedral is situated in the north of the town, along the Barrack Road.

Mounts Baths is a swimming pool in Northampton, England. Built in 1936, it is notable for its Art Deco style. It is a Grade II listed building, listed on 28 January 2013. It is regarded by Historic England as "a particularly good example of a Modern Movement swimming pool".

Northamptonshire Music and Performing Arts Trust is a music and performing arts service in Northamptonshire, England, which provides instrumental music lessons in local schools. Its services are available to around 13,000 school children. In July 2009 the music service was given an Outstanding level through MSEP evaluation. The service supports fifteen Saturday morning music centres and many music and drama groups, all within Northamptonshire. Membership of the county level groups is determined by an annual audition process each July. For most groups there are three levels: Junior, Training and Youth which are usually abbreviated by staff and students, e.g. County Junior Wind Orchestra (CJWO), County Training Strings (CTS) and County Youth Orchestra (CYO). There are groups covering ensemble, orchestral, brass band, wind band, jazz, rock, guitar, percussion, voice, drama, dance and early years music. In April 2012 the service became an independent, charitable trust and in May 2012 it was designated as the government's music and education hub for the area.

The Lodge Recording Studio is a recording studio in Northampton, England. It is co-owned by Jason Ducker of The Enid and Max Read. The studio was first established in 1978 in Hertford and then moved to larger premises in Claret Hall Farm, near Clare, Suffolk. It was used by such famous artists as Kim Wilde, The Ruts, Katrina and the Waves, New Model Army, Mari Wilson, Marillion Forger and Paradise Lost using it on a regular basis until 1988 when the owners closed it in order to concentrate on separate musical careers. In 1992 The Lodge re-opened in Northampton, where it currently operates two studios. The larger main studio still has the vintage 1976 Cadac analogue desk, which was originally installed in Battery Studios in London. There is a large live recording area, used for percussion and separate, soundproof booths. The second studio is equipped with a Yamaha digital desk and features a Yamaha G3 grand piano.
