Conowingo Dam

Octoraro Creek is a 22.1-mile-long (35.6 km) tributary of the Susquehanna River, joining it 9 miles (14 km) above the Susquehanna's mouth at Chesapeake Bay. The Octoraro rises as an East and West Branch in Pennsylvania. The East Branch and Octoraro Creek form the southern half of the border between Lancaster and Chester counties until the creek crosses the Mason-Dixon line. It winds through northwestern Cecil County, Maryland before joining the Susquehanna. Each of the branches is less than 20 miles (32 km) long. The entire creek drains 208 square miles (540 km2) of watershed. Octoraro Creek was designated a Pennsylvania Scenic River by Legislative Act 1983-43, managed by the Octoraro Creek Watershed Association. A brick tunnel leading to Octoraro Creek was built by Charles Spotts and used by slaves travelling the Underground Railway through Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

Conowingo is a community in northwestern Cecil County, Maryland, United States. The community replaced a previous one that was inundated by a reservoir.

Susquehanna State Park is a public recreation area located on the banks of the lower Susquehanna River north of the city of Havre de Grace, Maryland. The state park's main area is on the west bank of the river; the park also manages land on the river islands and east bank. The park offers fishing, boating, camping, and trails for hiking and equestrian use. It is managed as a complex with Rocks State Park and Palmer State Park by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources.

Octorara Farm is a historic home located at Conowingo, Cecil County, Maryland, United States. It was built in sections dating from the period between 1775 and 1840. The main block is a 2+1⁄2-story brick structure of high style Greek Revival architecture; it was probably added to the earlier rear section around 1830–1840. The present kitchen, which constitutes the central room of the three rooms of the rear section, is the earliest section of the house, probably dates to about 1775. Also on the property are a large four-bay fieldstone barn, a wagon shed, dairy, smokehouse, and tenant houses.Octorara Farm was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Rigbie House, also known as "Phillip's Purchase", is a historic home located at Berkley, Harford County, Maryland. It is a 1+1⁄2-story, frame and stone structure built about 1781. It was one of a series of forest outposts fortified against the Indians and representing Lord Baltimore’s claim of 1632 to land extending north to the 40th parallel. In April 1781, it was the place where the Marquis de Lafayette’s officers quelled a mutiny that might have prevented his army of New England troops, who had been headed homeward, from turning south again to join General Greene and General Washington at Yorktown, in which case that battle might never have been fought.Phillip's Purchase was a tract of land inherited by Colonel Nathaniel Rigbie in 1708. He moved to the area, originally consisting of approximately 2,000 acres, in 1730 with his wife Cassandra Coale. They built the Rigbie House in 1732. The land covered much of what is now Berkley, Maryland and Darlington, Maryland. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

Berkley Crossroads Historic District is a historic district in Darlington, Maryland, United States. It is a small rural crossroads community dating from the late 18th century through the early 20th century, and is one of the few remaining rural crossroads in Harford County. The entire area is agricultural in nature, and mostly consists of two- and three-story residences. The earliest structures, dating from the late 18th and early 19th century are of log construction, in whole or in part. It was also an important 19th century Free Black community.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.

Berkley School, also known as Hosanna School, is a historic school for African Americans located in Darlington, Harford County, Maryland. It was built in 1867 and is a rectangular two-story, three-bay frame building which rests on an uncoursed rubble-stone foundation. It is one of four structures erected in Harford County in the years immediately following the Civil War for the purpose of educating freed slaves. The school was officially established with funds provided by the Freedmen's Bureau for construction and teachers salaries. The Harford County School Commissioners took over operation of the School in 1879. It continued to function as a school until 1946 when the school ceased operation. In 1954, Hurricane Hazel destroyed the second story but left the ground floor intact. The second floor was restored in 2005.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Conowingo Creek is a 20.2-mile-long (32.5 km) tributary of the Susquehanna River in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and Cecil County, Maryland. The name of the creek comes from the Lenape, meaning "at the rapids".It originates near the northern border of East Drumore Township and flows south, meeting Jackson Run near the southern border. It enters Fulton Township just above the birthplace of Robert Fulton, for whom the township is named. Flowing along the east side of Wakefield, it meets Little Conowingo Creek below the town, and begins to flow through hillier terrain before entering Maryland. Its valley soon deepens into a gorge as it approaches the Susquehanna. It empties into the Conowingo Reservoir at Pilot Station.

Darlington United Methodist Church is located in Darlington, Maryland. It is a pre Civil War structure, built in 1852, with white siding, large windows, and many historically original architecture. It is a church within the Baltimore Washington Conference of the United Methodist Church. It is also one of two churches part of the Darlington Methodist Charge, the other being Dublin United Methodist Church in Street, Maryland. Prior to July 2014, the church shared pastors with Rock Run United Methodist Church, located in nearby Level, Maryland. There was a third sister church, Thomas Run Church which closed its doors in 1945.

Darlington Historic District is a national historic district at Darlington, Harford County, Maryland, United States. It includes approximately 100 small-scale structures in the village of Darlington. They include four churches including the Darlington United Methodist Church and the Deer Creek Friends Meetinghouse, a dozen shops and stores, barns/garages, meathouses, chicken houses, and other outbuildings, a lodge hall, a grammar school, a cemetery, and three working farms. They date particularly from the late 19th century through the early 20th century.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

Deer Creek Friends Meetinghouse is a historic Friends meeting house located at Darlington, Harford County, Maryland. It is a one-story fieldstone structure, six bays long on the south, four bays on the north, and three bays wide. It was constructed in 1784 to replace a building of 1737 and renovated in 1888. The interior is divided into two spaces by an original paneled partition and the benches are original, with 10 benches in each room and an aisle down the center. The property also includes a five-stall horse shed and a cemetery with burials dating from 1775 to 1930.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Berkley is an unincorporated community in Harford County, Maryland, United States. Rigbie House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.
