Panzer Kaserne

Stuttgart High School (SHS) is an English-language high school in southwest Germany, in Baden-Württemberg. Southwest of Stuttgart on Panzer Kaserne in Böblingen, it is operated by the United States' DODEA (formerly known as DoDDS).Opened in 2014, its enrollment is primarily dependents of military, civilian, and contract employees of the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) who are assigned to units of the Stuttgart Military Community, which includes Patch Barracks, Robinson Barracks, Panzer Kaserne, and Kelley Barracks. It succeeded Patch American High School (1979–2015, on Patch Barracks), and SHS remains the only DoDEA (DoDDS) high school in the Stuttgart area. Patch's school history, panther mascot, and colors were carried over to Stuttgart; black and gold are also the colors of host state Baden-Württemberg. Another predecessor, Stuttgart American High School (SAHS), began in 1954 at Robinson Barracks, relocated to Pattonville two years later, and closed in 1993.

Messe Sindelfingen, formerly known as Messehalle Sindelfingen, is a fair and convention center located in Sindelfingen, Germany, which was founded in 1973. It has one large hall with a 3,000-capacity and area of 8000 m² in total for exhibitions. During the 1970s and 1980s it hosted concerts by many famous artists such as The Who, Deep Purple, Van Halen, Kiss and Whitesnake. Today the facility is mainly used for fairs and trade shows. During the covid-19 pandemic it was used as vaccination centre for Landkreis Böblingen.Messe Sindelfingen got a large competitor in recent years, Messe Stuttgart, which is the 9th largest fair in Germany and only 15 km away at the airport in Stuttgart. However, the private owner has maintained its business by offering fairs on a smaller scale and budget and for a smaller and more local audience. It also has lost its former importance for music events, because Glaspalast Sindelfingen, which opened in 1977, is better equipped for large music events with a capacity of over 5,000. One of the biggest advantages was its quick accessibility from the nearby Bundesautobahn 81 and Bundesautobahn 8. During larger events the fair offered free shuttle service to the train station of Goldberg of the S-Bahn Stuttgart. I also has bus lines running to the city centres of Böblingen, Sindelfingen, and to Stuttgart-Vaihingen. At the end of 2021 the management announced that the facility will have its last fair in March 2022 and close down after that. The area is about to undergo a major transformation from a commercial area to a more mixed area with large housing blocks, with new road connections and other developments that will deprive the facility from its few parking spaces and change the character of the quarter. The cul-de-sac at the location will be transformed into a main road and make loading and unloading of the trucks on the street impossible in the future.

Sporthalle was an indoor arena located in Böblingen, Germany. It opened in 1966 and was torn down in 2008. Sporthalle had a capacity to hold 6,500 people. The venue played host to six team handball competitions for the 1972 Summer Olympics in neighboring Munich. Further, it served as one of two playgrounds for the FIBA EuroBasket 1971. It hosted indoor sporting events, trade shows, TV shows, music concerts and other events.

Schönaich is a municipality in the district of Böblingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is situated 5 km southeast of Böblingen, and 16 km southwest of Stuttgart. Schönaich is a township with a population of about 10,000 and is situated at the outskirts of the Schönbuch forest in a scenic location but at the same time close to cities like Böblingen, Sindelfingen, Tübingen, and Stuttgart. A major shopping mall is nearby in Sindelfingen. A number of restaurants or snack bars with German, Italian, Turkish and Chinese food and ice cream parlors offer their services in Schönaich. The Panzerkaserne, an American installation with a commissary, is 3 km away from Schönaich. Schönaich has six Kindergarten for children between 3 and 6 years of age and a place for toddlers called "Kinderhaus". First grade to fourth grade students attend the local school. From 5th grade on students can either go to one of the high schools (Gymnasium) in Böblingen or continue at the middle school in Schönaich. The graduation from a Gymnasium or an equivalent degree from a foreign school permits access to the universities and colleges in Germany. Universities are in Stuttgart and Tübingen. Schönaich has a music school (Jugendmusikschule), an arts school, and an adult education school (Volkshochschule) which offers various courses mainly for adults, but also some for the youth and children. Doctors from several fields have their practice in Schönaich: general practitioners; ear, nose and throat; internist; orthopedist; gynecologist; pediatrist; dentists. The closest hospitals are in Böblingen and Sindelfingen. Public transportation is not inexpensive but the connection between Böblingen and Stuttgart is good. Busses go from Schönaich to Böblingen, their schedule is quite good during the day but less frequent at night. The Stuttgart airport (code: STR) is within 20 minutes driving distance from Schönaich. You have easy access to the Autobahn 81 which leads you south to Lake Constanz and Switzerland, or north to Stuttgart where it crosses another major Autobahn to Munich or Karlsruhe. From there you can get to anywhere in Germany on these routes. Tip: the ADAC The German automobile Club gives travel advice. The Black Forest, the Schwäbische Alb with its caves, or Lake Constanz are close enough for a one-day excursion. Tübingen and Bebenhausen are historical places you will enjoy to discover. There are many opportunities for leisure. The TV standard is PAL. Internet access via DSL is possible in all of Schönaich. The local police station is manned during the day. You find churches from the following denominations in Schönaich: Evangelische Kirchengemeinde (Protestant church), Katholische Kirchengemeinde (Roman Catholic church), Süddeutsche Gemeinschaft Schönaich (a free church close to the Protestant church), Evangelisch-Methodistische Gemeinde (Methodist church), and Neuapostolische Kirche (New Apostolic Church). Services are usually in German. In the industrial area at the outskirts of Schönaich you find the small industry which is typical for the area. Exception: major employers in the area are Hewlett-Packard and IBM in Böblingen, and Mercedes AG in Sindelfingen, all within easy commuting distance.

Goldberg station is a railway station in the Goldberg district of the municipality of Böblingen, located in the Böblingen district in Baden-Württemberg, Germany.

Böblingen is a Landkreis (district) in the middle of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Neighboring districts are (from west clockwise) Calw, Enz, Ludwigsburg, (district) Stuttgart, and the districts Esslingen, Reutlingen and Tübingen.

Böblingen station is located on the Stuttgart–Horb railway (German: Gäubahn) and is at the start of the Rankbach Railway (Rankbachbahn) and the Schönbuch Railway (Schönbuchbahn). It is served by regional services and Stuttgart S-Bahn line S 1. Until 2002 it was served by Intercity-Express and Cisalpino services.

Böblingen Airport (German: Flughafen Böblingen) (IATA: PHM) was built in the mid-1920s for the city of Stuttgart in Germany. Bordered by Calwer Straße (K1073) and the E41, it lies northwest of Böblingen and south of the Daimler factory in Sindelfingen. An aircraft industry developed around this airfield, which was used by the military during the Second World War. On September 1, 1939 the airbase was the home station for the I/JG 52 (1st Group of Jagdgeschwader 52) which was flying the Bf109 E-1 fighter aircraft. On that day its strength was 39 aircraft.

The Bernhartshöhe (Bernhart's heights) is a mountain of 549 m (1,801 ft) in the [[Stuttgart-Vaihingen ]] Part of Stuttgart, covering the southwesternmost part of the city of Stuttgart, capital of the German Bundesland (state) of Baden-Württemberg. It is the city's highest point of elevation. Bernhartshöhe is directly adjacent to the crossing of the A 8 and A 81 motorways (Autobahnkreuz Stuttgart), two crucial traffic arteries of Southern Germany.

Sindelfingen station (German: Bahnhof Sindelfingen) is a railway station in the municipality of Sindelfingen, located in the Böblingen district in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is part of the Stuttgart S-Bahn and trains go at a frequency of two trains an hour in both directions. Across the street is the Sindelfingen central bus station, and in the opposite direction it borders the Mercedes-Benz plant. The shortest connection to the inner city of Stuttgart is via Böblingen. The other direction takes a b-line around the city over Renningen and Leonberg and eventually enters the city centre of Stuttgart from the north and will take considerably longer. The station and most of its tracks serves as a hub for freight trains from and to the plant. Trains with raw materials and auto parts coming in and cars going out to Bremerhaven for oversea shipment.

The Martinskirche (St. Martin's church) is the Lutheran main church in Sindelfingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It was built in Romanesque style as a basilica with a flat wooden ceiling, then part of a monastery. Today, the church is also a venue of church music events.
