The Douglas Entrance (also known as La Puerta del Sol) is a historic site in Coral Gables, Florida. It is located at the junction of Douglas Road and Tamiami Trail (US 41). The architect was Phineas Paist and it was completed in 1924. On September 22, 1972, it is listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The Douglas Entrance design also involved Denman Fink and Walter De Garmo.

The Coral Gables Woman's Club is a historic woman's club in Coral Gables, Florida. The club is located at 1001 East Ponce de Leon Boulevard. On March 27, 1990, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

Versailles cafeteria, restaurant, and bakery is a landmark eating establishment located on Calle Ocho (8th St) in Little Havana, Miami. The large restaurant seats 370 people and has ornate etched glass and statuettes and features a bakery, a takeout area, a counter window and the ability to host banquets and parties. Founded by Felipe A. Valls Sr. (from Santiago de Cuba) in 1971, Versailles is a popular restaurant among local Cuban exiles and tourists for its Cuban cuisine and connection to anti-Castro politics.

The Miami Coliseum, also known as the Coral Gables Coliseum, was a multi-purpose arena located in Coral Gables, Florida. It was developed by George E. Merrick, the founder of Coral Gables and of the University of Miami, who sought to create a cultural center for the Miami area. Like the rest of the planned community, the Coliseum was built in the Mediterranean Revival style.Heavily in debt after the collapse of Florida's land boom, Merrick sold the Coliseum to the City of Coral Gables in 1927, before it was completed.In 1938, the Coliseum was rebuilt into an ice rink and rechristened the Metropolitan Ice Palace. Inspired by the films of Sonja Henie, the arena's managers sought to host ice skating shows for Miami residents, as well as ice hockey games. The Ice Palace was home to all four teams of the Tropical Hockey League (THL), the first attempt at professional hockey in Florida (and in the South). Though the THL was, at least initially, a moderate success, it had a turbulent lifespan and continually lost money for its promoters. Ultimately, the league folded around September 1941. Shortly thereafter, the city filed a $42,500 suit and sought foreclosure against the Ice Palace's operators.With the onset of World War II, the Coliseum was leased to Embry–Riddle University to train military pilots. However, it was converted back into an ice rink in 1949. It would be the only indoor arena in Miami-Dade County until the 1950s when the Miami Beach Auditorium was built. Afterwards, it was turned into a bowling alley, and later a health club, before becoming vacant in 1987. Despite a push by preservationists to maintain the historic structure, it was demolished in 1993.

Caballero Rivero Woodlawn Park North Cemetery and Mausoleum is one of the oldest cemeteries in Miami, Florida. Woodlawn Park Cemetery–North was established in 1913 by three pioneers in Miami's early history – Thomas O. Wilson, William N. Urmey and Clifton D. Benson. The Woodlawn group of cemeteries grew throughout the years, and funeral homes were added as well. The founders imported rare tropical trees and shrubs to adorn the cemetery, including the first schefflera (umbrella trees) and mahogany trees brought to the United States.

Coral Gables Preparatory Academy, formerly Coral Gables Elementary School, is a public K-8 school in Coral Gables, Florida. A part of the Miami-Dade County Public Schools, it has its elementary school classes in the Lower Academy, in the former Coral Gables Elementary building, while the middle school classes are in the Upper Academy at the Merrick Educational Center. The school was given its current name in 2010.The lower academy facility is a historic school building designed by the architect Richard Kiehnel of Kiehnel and Elliott. It is located at 105 Minorca Avenue. On June 30, 1988, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

The Coral Gables Police and Fire Station (also known as the City of Coral Gables Public Safety Building) is a historic site in Coral Gables, Florida. Completed in 1939 as a Works Progress Administration project, it was designed by Phineas Paist. In 2003, steps were taken to preserve the building and its legacy and by 2011, it was reopened to the public as the Coral Gables Museum.

Miracle Mile is a 0.503-mile-long (0.810 km) section of Coral Way between LeJeune Road (SW 42nd Avenue) and Douglas Road (SW 37th Avenue) in Coral Gables, Florida. It is the main east-west road through the city's downtown central business district, consisting of many shops, financial institutions, restaurants and arts institution. The LeJeune Road end of Miracle Mile is anchored by the Coral Gables City Hall. Miracle Mile and the surrounding Downtown Coral Gables area is served indirectly by the Miami Metrorail by transferring from the Douglas Road station to the Coral Gables Trolley at the station. The trolley runs up and down Ponce de Leon Boulevard from Miracle Mile to the Metro. The boulevard is lined with restaurants, shops, boutiques, art galleries, and today "Downtown Coral Gables, including Miracle Mile, is one of South Florida's most sought-after shopping destinations."

Little Gables is an unincorporated community in Miami-Dade County, Florida. The name "Little Gables" comes from the community being located between the cities of Coral Gables and Miami.

Miracle Marketplace is a shopping mall in Miami, Florida, United States, which opened in March 1989. It is located at 3301 Coral Way (S.W. 22 Street), just a few blocks east of Douglas Road (S.W. 37 Avenue), east of Coral Gables.

The Coral Gables City Hall is a historic site in Coral Gables, Florida. It is located at 405 Biltmore Way. On July 24, 1974, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The city hall was built in the Mediterranean Revival architectural style. It was completed in 1928. Phineas Paist and Harold Steward were the architects; Denman Fink was the artistic advisor. It is three stories tall, built of local limestone, has a stuccoed exterior, tile roof, central 3-stage clock tower, and a Corinthian colonnade. It was major element in the plan of George E. Merrick, founder of Coral Gables, to create a Spanish-Mediterranean city.
