Upton Hill Regional Park

Upton's Hill is a geographic eminence located in western Arlington County, Virginia. Its summit rises to 410 feet (120 m) above sea level.

Seven Corners is a commercial center and census-designated place (CDP) in Fairfax County, Virginia, United States. The population was 9,255 at the 2010 census. Seven Corners has a "Falls Church" mailing address but is not within Falls Church's city limits. The area got its name from the intersection of State Route 7 (Leesburg Pike and East Broad Street), U.S. Route 50 (Arlington Boulevard), State Route 613 (Sleepy Hollow Road), State Route 338 (Hillwood Avenue) and Wilson Boulevard (also part of State Route 613). The junction of these four roads once created seven corners.

Dominion Hills Historic District is a national historic district located at Arlington County, Virginia. It contains 446 contributing buildings in a residential neighborhood in western Arlington. It was platted in 1942 and developed between 1945 and 1948. It was designed to attract working and middle-income residents and is composed exclusively of two-story Colonial Revival style dwellings.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.

Seven Corners Shopping Center was the first major shopping center to open in suburban Washington, D.C. It is located in Seven Corners, Fairfax County, Virginia. At its opening in 1956, it was the largest regional shopping center in Virginia. The backsplit two-story mall structure was razed in the mid-1990s and replaced with a dual ground level power center.

Dar Al-Hijrah Islamic Center (Arabic: مركز دار الهجرة الاسلامي) is a mosque in Northern Virginia. It is located in the Seven Corners area of unincorporated Fairfax County, Virginia, in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area.

Eden Center is a Vietnamese American strip mall located near the crossroads of Seven Corners in the City of Falls Church, Virginia. Eden Center is the largest Vietnamese commercial center on the East Coast, and the largest Asian-themed mall on the east coast of North America. The city's Economic Development commission considers it the city's top tourist destination. The center is home to more than 120 shops, restaurants and businesses catering extensively to the Asian American, especially the Vietnamese-American, population. Eden Center has created an anchor for Vietnamese culture serving the Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, and Pennsylvania areas, as shown by the large number of phở soup restaurants, bánh mì delicatessens, bakeries, markets, as well as Vietnamese-American cultural events that are regularly held at the Center.

Reevesland (Reeves Farmhouse or Torreyson Farm) is the remnant of an estate that was once located in the present Boulevard Manor neighborhood of Arlington County, Virginia. The former estate, located at 400 N. Manchester Street in the western part of the county, now consists of 2.4 acres (1.0 ha) of land with a house and outbuildings that were originally part of a 160 acres (65 ha) dairy farm.

Munson's Hill is a geographic eminence located in eastern Fairfax County, Virginia. Its summit rises to 367 feet (112 m) above sea level.

The Bluemont Junction was part of the Washington and Old Dominion Railway that began operation in 1912. Located in Bluemont, Arlington, the wye junction served as a transfer point for passengers and freight from Alexandria and Georgetown to points west ending at Bluemont, the a popular resort in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

The Glebewood Village Historic District is a national historic district located at Arlington County, Virginia. It contains 105 contributing buildings in a residential neighborhood in northern Arlington. It was built between 1937 and 1938, and consists of seven individual blocks of Colonial Revival-style rowhouses. Each block consists of between 2 and 39 single rowhouse dwellings. Each rowhouse is two stories in height, two bays wide, of brick construction and capped with an asymmetrical side-gabled roof.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

The Westover Historic District is a national historic district located at Westover, Arlington County, Virginia. It contains 383 contributing buildings and 1 contributing site in a residential neighborhood in northern Arlington. The neighborhood was constructed in five phases between 1939 and 1957: Westover Apartments, Westover Hills, Keene's Addition to Westover, Westover Park, and Mason's Addition to Westover. The neighborhood consists of Colonial Revival-style single-family dwellings, twin houses, duplexes, and multi-family garden apartments. Also in the district are a shopping center, the Claude A. Swanson Junior High School, the Westover Baptist Church, and Swanson Park.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.

Taylor's Tavern was a significant outpost for Union Forces during the US Civil War. It was among the first locations in Virginia where the two opposing sides came into contact. The tavern was probably built about 1800 near the site of an old Indian trading post at Seven Corners.An inscription on a historical marker placed by the City of Falls Church, Virginia, at Taylor's Tavern, reads: Two-story building with verandahs stood on 56 acres bought in 1856 by Wm. Taylor (part of 1731 271-acre T. Harrison grant). Tavern faced Alexandria-Leesburg Pike west of Junction with Georgetown Road (Wilson Blvd.). Near here on June 24, 1861, balloonist Thaddeus Lowe conducted first aerial reconnaissance in U.S. military history. In August–September CSA Col. J.E.B. Stuart's troops fortified Upton's & Munson's Hills. By October 1861 Union troops had reoccupied hills and added forts Taylor, Buffalo, and Ramsay as a separate group 4–5 miles west of main ring of Washington defenses. The tavern was the site of the first aerial reconnaissance mission in the United States, a balloon flight by Thaddeus S. C. Lowe on June 24, 1861. With the assistance of a detachment of fifteen men, he carried his craft, the Enterprise, to the tavern site, from which he conducted a number of test flights.The site of the tavern is today marked by Fort Taylor Park, a city park.
