Iverley

Churchill is a village in the Wyre Forest District of Worcestershire, England, near to Kidderminster. It is in the civil parish of Churchill and Blakedown and is the location of one of the few surviving water-powered plating forges in the United Kingdom - Churchill Forge Mill.

Churchill Forge Mill, situated in the Worcestershire village of Churchill, is one of the last water-powered forge mills remaining in an intact state in the UK and as such is an important example of the industrial heritage of the West Midlands. Part of the site has been restored to working condition and is now maintained and operated by the Churchill Forge Trust.

King's Norton and Northfield Urban District was a local government administrative district in north Worcestershire, England, from 1898 until 1911. Much of its area was afterwards absorbed into the neighbouring Borough of Birmingham, under the Greater Birmingham Scheme, and now constitutes most of the city's southern and southwestern suburban environs.

Norton is a suburb and council ward in the town of Stourbridge, West Midlands. It has a population of 11,943 in an area of 569 hectares. The population is largely White British and self-identifies as predominantly Christian.

Haybridge High School and Sixth Form is an 11–18 mixed academy school with approximately 1,250 students (420 in the sixth form) in Hagley, Worcestershire, England, United Kingdom, serving North West Worcestershire and the West Midlands. The school is a Technology College, with the two additional specialisms of Applied Learning and Sports. It is also a Training School and a Leading Edge School.

Blakedown railway station serves the English village of Blakedown, Worcestershire. It was opened (as Churchill station) in 1852, later becoming known for a time as Churchill & Blakedown after the two villages became a single parish. The station is unstaffed, with only a basic shelter on each platform. There is a level crossing immediately to the west of the platforms, and in the absence of a footbridge or subway this is also the only method for passengers to cross the tracks. The platforms were lengthened in the 1990s to allow longer trains to call (see image - the hollow space and the white fence mark the extension). This is because Blakedown is within the Birmingham commuter band and over the twenty years between 1998 - 2018 usage of the station has increased by 147%. Currently there is a proposal to develop a car park on an adjacent field site to cater for further anticipated growth.Since August 2012 the signalling system has been altered, with the former signal box having been closed and control of the nearby crossing and signals transferred to the West Midlands SCC at Saltley. The old signal box was then acquired by the Churchill and Blakedown Historical Society for their headquarters and was shifted across the road to a site adjoining the station in 2016.

Hagley Catholic High School is a coeducational school for ages 11–18 situated in the village of Hagley, Worcestershire, England. Currently a member of the Catholic Emmaus trust of schools, it was founded by the Catholic community in Worcestershire. The school holds specialist academy status, and was awarded a Grade 1 (Outstanding) in the 2011 Ofsted report. The patron saint is Catholic martyr Saint Nicholas Owen, and the school is divided into six houses named after saints: Anselm, Bede, Chad, Gregory, Kenelm, and Wulstan. Outcomes are excellent at Hagley with a GCSE Progress 8 score in 2019 of +0.35 and English literature and language, maths, science and history in the top 20% of all schools nationally for attainment. Overall attainment was in the top 20% also, as were all elements of the attainment buckets.The sixth form enjoys a high rate of success, with half of all candidates achieving grades AAB or higher. In 2020, 40% of sixth form leavers went on to study at Russell Group universities and the school often sends students to Oxbridge.

Mary Stevens Park is a public park located in Norton, Stourbridge, West Midlands, UK. Opened to the public in 1931, it attracts 1.3 million visitors per year and is approximately 13.65 hectares (33.7 acres).It was given to the town of Stourbridge by local industrialist and philanthropist Ernest Stevens, in honour of his wife Mary. Landscape features include a pond called Heath Pool which was a former mill pond and a mixture of open spaces and woodland. The park has a number of architectural features including the War Memorial and the Main Entrance gates which are both Grade II listed. It also has the Park Keeper's cottage, Council House, a bandstand and a café in the tea gardens. Sports and exercise facilities include tennis courts, multi-use games area, Crown green bowls and croquet, an outdoor gym, Healthy Hub Activity Centre as well as a children's playground and water play feature.

Ridgewood High School is a coeducational secondary school, a part of the Stour Vale Academy Trust situated in Wollaston (near Stourbridge), in the West Midlands county of England.

Hagley railway station serves the English village of Hagley, Worcestershire. Off peak trains call three times an hour in each direction, running to or through Kidderminster westwards and through Stourbridge and Birmingham Snow Hill eastwards. Additional trains also call during the morning and evening rush hours. A half hourly service runs in the late evenings and an hourly service on Sundays. Customer Information Screens are installed on either platform. Since the 2017 change of franchise, services are run by West Midlands Trains.The nearest railway stations are Stourbridge Junction (towards Birmingham) and Blakedown (towards Kidderminster and Worcester). The station retains one of its GWR-era station buildings and its canopied footbridge, both dating from 1884. Although typical of its era, very few examples of that kind of ornamental ironwork bridge now survive and it was listed grade 2 in 2000. When it was refurbished in late 2011, the colours reverted from its former navy blue and white to the original GWR cream and salmon livery. The footbridge was also used by Hornby as the basis for its 00 Gauge model.

Blakedown is a village in the Wyre Forest District lying along the A456 in the north of the county of Worcestershire, England. Following enclosures and the arrival of the railway, it developed both agriculturally and industrially during the 19th century. Due to its transport links, it now serves mainly as a dormitory for the neighbouring town of Kidderminster and for the cities of Birmingham and Worcester.

The Battle of Stourbridge Heath (26 March 1644) was a skirmish that took place during the First English Civil War, in which a Parliamentarian contingent under the command of Colonel "Tinker" Fox was defeated by a larger Royalist force under the command of Sir Gilbert Gerard, Governor of Worcester.
