Tugford

Heath Chapel is located in an isolated position in a field in the former civil parish of Heath, Shropshire, England. It is an Anglican chapel in the deanery of Ludlow, the archdeaconry of Ludlow, and the diocese of Hereford. The chapel is served by the Ludlow Team Ministry. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building. The authors of the Buildings of England series describe it as "the perfect example of a rich little Norman chapel". The citation in the National Heritage List for England states that it "is nationally very remarkable as it has remained substantially unaltered in use, status, size and style".

The settlement and wider rural area historically had a larger population than now, especially in medieval times. Heath Chapel is a Norman Grade I Listed building. The civil parish was abolished on 1 April 2017 and merged with Abdon to form Abdon and Heath.Nearby are the larger settlements of Bouldon and Clee St. Margaret. Heath lies at approximately 240 metres (790 ft) above sea level.

Bouldon is a hamlet in Shropshire, England. It lies in the civil parish of Diddlebury. The hamlet comprises approximately 14 houses, a number of agricultural buildings and a public house named the "Tally Ho". It is 8.5 miles (13.7 km) by road northeast of the market town of Ludlow.

Holdgate (or Stanton Holdgate or Castle Holdgate) is a small village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Abdon and Heath, in the Shropshire district, in the ceremonial county of Shropshire, England. Its name is taken from its Norman lord Helgot who owned the village in 1086 along with 17 other parishes in Shropshire. In 1931 the parish had a population of 47.The village is laid on top of a small hill which rises to 169 metres (554 ft) above sea level. Its parish church is Holy Trinity. There are remnants of the medieval Holdgate Castle. Holdgate was once (in medieval times) a more populous place than today. On 1 April 1967 the parish was abolished and merged with Tugford and Munslow. Bouldon was, until 1884, a detached part of Holdgate parish.A mile (1.6 km) to the northeast is the village of Stanton Long. Between the two villages, but within the former Holdgate parish (now in the Abdon and Heath parish) is the hamlet of Brookhampton. To the south is Tugford.

The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building. It stands in the former southwest bailey of Holdgate Castle.

Abdon is an upland village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Abdon and Heath, in Shropshire, England. In 2011 the parish had a population of 199. It is in the Clee Hills.

Clee St. Margaret is a small village and civil parish in the Clee Hills area of Shropshire, England. It is seven miles north east (about a fifteen-minute drive) from the market town of Ludlow. It lies at approximately 205 metres (673 ft) above sea level. The Clee Brook passes through the settlement, as a 50-metre long, shallow ford. Local land use includes two small vineyards and extensive sheep grazing. There is a 900-year-old parish church and a village hall, but no pub. Clee St. Margaret had five pubs earlier during the height of the quarrying on nearby Brown Clee Hill. Historically the settlement also had a shop, a Methodist Chapel, a school and a post office.

Stanton Long is a small village and civil parish situated in the district of Corve Dale, Shropshire, England. It is one of three parishes in the local area, including Easthope and Shipton. In the National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland 1868, it was described as: "a parish in the hundred of Munslow, county Salop, 7½ miles S.W. of Much Wenlock, its post town, and 10 W. of Bridgnorth. The village, which is small, is situated on the river Corve, and on the road from Skipton to Holdgate. The inhabitants are agricultural. The parish includes the townships of Brocton and Patton."

Peaton is a hamlet in the civil parish of Diddlebury in Shropshire, England. It is situated in the Corvedale, between Diddlebury and Bouldon. The Pye Brook flows past the hamlet, with Peaton Bridge taking the Bouldon-Diddlebury lane across it. The hamlet lies at 124 metres (407 ft) above sea level. A smaller hamlet called Peatonstrand lies further towards Bouldon at grid reference SO539845; it is partly situated in the valley of the Strand Brook and partly along the lane to Bouldon where the Strand has its confluence with the larger Pye Brook.The towns of Ludlow and Craven Arms are both about 7 miles (11 km) distant, by road.

Shipton is a small village in Shropshire, England. The 12th-century parish church of St James is a Grade II* Listed Building. It was rebuilt in 1589 by the Lutwyche family then owning the Hall. The church figures prominently in the history of the Samuel More family of Mayflower pilgrims fame. The More family had their seat at Shipton Hall after acquiring the Hall through marriage from the Mytton family in 1795. The Hall is constructed of limestone to an E-plan. In the ornamental gardens are stables and an early monastic dovecote, which is a Grade II* listed building.
