Tullimbar is a suburb situated in the Macquarie Valley in the City of Shellharbour, New South Wales, Australia.The location is named after the Aboriginal man and tribal leader Tullimbah (c.1798-c.1870).A store was in operation at Tullimbar in 1856 by Robert Wilson. A Post Office was established at Tullimbar in 1872. A school was opened at Tullimbar on 31 October 1881.

Yellow Rock is a suburb of Wollongong in the City of Shellharbour in New South Wales, Australia.

Knights Hill is a hill that is part of the Illawarra Range with an elevation of 778 metres (2,552 ft) AMSL. The peak is located 8 km South-west of Albion Park and comprises several other small hills, atop a plateau adjacent to the escarpment edge. Atop the plateau are TV antennas and a small farm. The name first appeared in a map by Surveyor Robert Hoddle, after whom the Hoddles Track is named. Hoddle first surveyed the region in the early 19th century. The hill can be seen from the coastal plain to the North as far as Stanwell Park. One of the television aerials emits a constant light pulse which can be seen from as far as Wollongong. The hill is also one of the highest points on the Illawarra escarpment.

Macquarie Pass is an eight-kilometre-long section of the Illawarra Highway passing through Macquarie Pass National Park. It was opened in 1898, though had been used by the Wodi Wodi tribe. Macquarie Pass links the Southern Highland town of Robertson to the coastal town of Albion Park, descending the Illawarra Escarpment via a very narrow bitumen roadway, which has several single-lane sections and is mostly two lanes with double "no overtaking" lines. It is in the Shellharbour local government area. This section of roadway is very steep, and contains many hairpin bends, resulting in buses and trucks needing to reverse on some of the bends. The pass is quite notorious for accidents due to its nature, and drivers and riders are required to be cautious. After heavy rain, the Macquarie Pass can be closed due to flooding on the top half of the pass. Cars and motorcycle riders may opt to use Jamberoo Mountain Road between Robertson and Jamberoo, while trucks are advised to use Mount Ousley Road (Southern Freeway) and Picton Road as an alternative. The road is very popular with motorcyclists on weekends and public holidays. The Shellharbour and Wingecarribee Councils and Transport for NSW have therefore published a safety brochure entitled 'Motorcycling Macquarie Pass.'

Toongla is a heritage-listed former residence and dairy farm and now residence at 41 Tullimbar Road, Albion Park in the City of Shellharbour local government area in the Illawarra region of New South Wales, Australia. It was built during 1873. The property is privately owned. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

ABC Illawarra is an ABC Local Radio station based in Wollongong and broadcasting to the Illawarra region in New South Wales, Australia. This includes the towns of Nowra, Shellharbour, Kiama, and Bowral. The station began as 2WN in 1959 originally broadcasting on the AM band. It now transmits on the main FM frequency of 97.3 MHz along with a low power FM repeater.

Macquarie Pass National Park is a national park in New South Wales, Australia, 90 km southwest of Sydney. It is located around the pass of the same name, which is on the Illawarra Highway and part of the Illawarra escarpment. Macquarie Pass National Park was established in 1970 and protects a range of eucalypt forests and rainforest, including one of Australia's most southerly stands of subtropical rainforest. The pass was opened in 1898. It has been a major route into and out of the Illawarra coastal plain ever since. There is a major power line running east–west through the park. As well as a diverse array of birdlife the park has swamp wallabies and wombats.

Calderwood is a suburb in the City of Shellharbour in New South Wales, Australia, lying to the northwest of Albion Park. At the 2021 census, Calderwood had a population of 3,013. It is currently undergoing suburban redevelopment through Lendlease.
