Molkwerum (West Frisian: Molkwar) is a village in Súdwest-Fryslân municipality in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. It had a population of around 390 in January 2017. Molkwerum used to be called Friese Doolhof (Frisian Maze), because it is built on numerous little islands dissected by canals in a random fashion. The village used to contain 27 bridges.

Warns (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈʋɑr(ə)ns]; West Frisian: [ˈʋãːs]) is a village in the northern Netherlands. It is located in the municipality of Súdwest-Fryslân, Friesland. It had a population of around 720 in January 2017. Warns is best known for the Battle of Warns. In 1345, count William IV of Holland tried to invade Friesland. A battle took place at the Roode Klif (Red Cliff), a nine metre high clay ridge, on the former Zuiderzee (nowadays: IJsselmeer) where the invasion was stopped. Almost the entire army of Holland including count William were killed during the battle.

Laaxum (West Frisian: Laaksum) is a hamlet in the municipality of Súdwest-Fryslân in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. It is located south of Warns on the edge of the IJsselmeer in the west of the Gaasterland region. The place is addressed both as a village and as a hamlet. A hamlet because it is formally part of Warns and a village because it is a fishing village. The place is or has been described as the smallest fishing village in Europe. It has only a limited number of houses and a farm. For a long time, it was only a hamlet of the village of Scharl. That only started to change in the 1900s due to the growth of the fishing industry and it was seen as a village when it got its own port in 1912 and the fishing industry was at its peak.

Koudum-Molkwerum is a railway station located near Molkwerum and Koudum, Netherlands. The station was opened on 28 November 1885 and is on the Leeuwarden - Stavoren railway line. The train service is operated by Arriva. The station was closed between 15 May 1938 and 1 June 1940. The platform at this station is only 90 meters long and therefore the shortest of all train platforms in the country.

It lies within the municipality of Súdwest Fryslân. It is famous because of the Hindeloopen art and hindeloopen costume. Hindeloopen is one of the eleven cities of Friesland. It had a population of around 875 in January 2017.

De Vlijt (English: The Diligence) or Molen 't Op is a post mill in Koudum, Friesland, Netherlands which was built in 1986 and is working in working order. The mill is listed as a Rijksmonument, number 34081.

Hindeloopen is a railway station near Hindeloopen, Netherlands. The station opened on 28 November 1885 and is on the Leeuwarden–Stavoren railway between Sneek and Stavoren. The services are operated by Arriva.

Koudum is a village in the northern Netherlands. It is located in Súdwest-Fryslân, Friesland. Nearby villages include Molkwerum to the west, Workum to the north and Hemelum to the south. The population of Koudum was 2,700 in 2019. The nearest train station is the Koudum-Molkwerum railway station.There is a restored windmill in the village, De Vlijt.
