Mariënberg

Mariënberg is a railway station located in Mariënberg, Netherlands. The station was opened on 1 February 1905 and is located on the Zwolle–Emmen railway and the Mariënberg–Almelo railway. The services are operated by Arriva.

Beerzerveld is a village in the Dutch province of Overijssel. It is a part of the municipality of Ommen, and lies about 16 km north of Almelo. It was first mentioned in 1860 as Beerzerveld, and means "heath near Beerze". Around 1860, people moved to Beerzerveld to excavate the peat. The hamlet nowadays cooperates with Mariënberg.

Geerdijk was a railway station in Geerdijk, The Netherlands. The station was opened on 1 October 1906 and is on the Mariënberg–Almelo railway. The station was on a single track line but had 2 platforms. This is because there is a level crossing in between. The train runs over the level crossing first and then stops on the platform. This is so that the level crossing doesn't have to be closed while the train waits. The station was announced as the second-least used station in the Netherlands in 2005 with an average of 60 passengers a day. For this reason, the railway station was closed on 29 April 2016. This allows Arriva to extend the train service from Mariënberg to Hardenberg..

Rheeze is an Angerdorf in the municipality of Hardenberg in the Dutch province of Overijssel. As of 2020, the population of Rheeze was 285.Rheeze has been inhabited since the early Middle Ages. At the end of 1992, part of the core of Rheeze was designated as a protected townscape. In the core of Rheeze, there is also a site of high archaeological value, which means that archaeological research is required for soil activities deeper than 40 centimeters.

Bergentheim (Dutch Low Saxon: Baanthum) is a village in the municipality of Hardenberg, the Netherlands. Located between the canal Almelo- De Haandrik and the railway Zwolle-Emmen, the town used to have a railway station, but it was closed in 1975. The building was still there until August 1993.

Ambt Hardenberg is a former municipality in the Dutch province of Overijssel. It consisted of the countryside surrounding the city of Hardenberg, which was a separate municipality. Ambt Hardenberg existed from 1818 to 1941, when it became a part of Hardenberg.

The earliest inhabitants lived from the peat that was found in the nearby area. Farmers from the Groningen area played an important role by the excavated peat into farmland here. They settled mainly on the Tonnendijk Road. The Groninger-farms are still on the Tonnendijk.

With an average of 100 passengers per day, it is one of the least used stations in the Netherlands. The train services are operated by Arriva. Previously, this station was called Den Ham-Vroomshoop (1906-1952).

The station is also used by people of Daarle and Westerhaar-Vriezenveensewijk. Previously, this station was called Boldijk (1906-1910) and Daarle (1910-1958).

Sibculo Abbey (Dutch: Klooster Sibculo), also called Groot Galilea (Galilea Major), was a Cistercian abbey founded in 1403 by followers of the Modern Devotion movement and dissolved in 1579 during the Protestant Reformation of the Netherlands. Its remains are near the village of Sibculo in the municipality of Hardenberg in Overijssel.
