Bromsgrove

Bromsgrove is a local government district in Worcestershire, England. Its council is based in the town of Bromsgrove. It borders the built up area of Birmingham to the north. Other places in the district include Alvechurch, Aston Fields, Belbroughton, Catshill, Clent, Hagley, Rubery, Stoke Prior and Wythall. The current district was formed on 1 April 1974 by the merger of Bromsgrove urban district and Bromsgrove rural district. Bromsgrove forms part of the Greater Birmingham & Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership.

Bromsgrove Sporting Football Club is a football club based in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, England. The club was founded in 2009 and played their first season, 2010–11, in Midland Football Combination Division Two, where they ended third. The club currently play in the Southern League Premier Division Central.

North Bromsgrove High School is a coeducational upper school and sixth form located in the centre of Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, England.

Artrix is an arts venue in Bromsgrove, England, located on School Drive just outside the town centre. The building was constructed between 2004 and 2005 on a green field site sold off by the Heart of Worcestershire College Bromsgrove campus (formerly NEWcollege) in 1999 and the Bromsgrove 'Blue Light' centre. It hosts theatre and dance performances, cinema screenings, live music including touring bands, solo artists, touring theatre and both ballet and contemporary dance. Performance of classical music and comedy from well-known performers to circuit comedians. It also works with local groups and organisations as part of Bromsgrove Arts Alive which provides space for theatre performances, a Pantomime a classical music club, spoken word talks (featuring playwright, novelists, poets and historians) and productions by local dance schools. Artrix also has a very active learning and engagement department that coordinates many projects including a youth theatre group and projects in the community for all ages and social standing. The main auditorium has a seating capacity of approximately 301. The seating in both venues can be dismantled to create open spaces for events. Four multipurpose rooms are available for meetings and during productions as dressing rooms. The building also contains a rehearsal room/dance studio on the second floor which since 2013 has been regularly used as a studio theatre in addition to its main house for small scale theatre, music and spoken word with a seated capacity of 90. There is an art gallery on the three floors of the venue. Both the main house and the studio are soundproofed and are not linked structurally within the building, in order to eliminate sound conduction between the two. There is also a licensed cafe-bar. At the start of the COVID-19 lockdown the old operating company found itself recovering from the end of a series of large long-term contract hires and a sudden halt to activities and ran-out of operating finance. Due to this, the company wasn't able to operate legally due to its charitable status and was sadly to go into voluntary liquidation. The assets were then purchased by Bromsgrove District Council with the intention to looking at options to re-open the venue once the situation improved. The venue is currently the COVID mass vaccination centre for Bromsgrove. Several groups are looking at options to reopen the venue.

Heart of Worcestershire College is an academic institution with campuses at Worcester, Malvern, Redditch and Bromsgrove. It was established in August 2014 on the merging of Worcester College of Technology and North East Worcestershire College (commonly abbreviated to NEW College).

Bromsgrove School is a co-educational boarding and day school in the Worcestershire town of Bromsgrove, England. Founded in 1553, it is one of the oldest public schools in Britain, and one of the 14 founding members of the Headmasters' Conference. Bromsgrove School has both boarding and day students consisting of three schools, pre-prep nursery school (ages 2–7), preparatory school (ages 7–13) and the senior school (13–18). Bromsgrove charges up to £14,055 per term, with three terms per academic year. The school has a total of 200 teaching staff, with 1,660 pupils. Spread across 100 acres, the main campus is located in the heart of the town of Bromsgrove. However, Bromsgrove School has also expanded overseas, with an additional boarding school in Bangkok (Bromsgrove International School Thailand) and a new school within the Mission Hills complex in Shenzhen, China, Bromsgrove School Mission Hills.The school's headmaster from September 2022 is Michael Punt, who was previously headmaster of Chigwell School.

St John's CE Middle Academy -- formerly 'St John's CofE Foundation Middle School' -- is a middle school located in the town of Bromsgrove, Worcestershire. As of 2017, St John's have 648 students on roll, all aged between 9 and 13. In 2020 that figure was recorded as 640.Pupils from St John's Middle School tend to feed into either South Bromsgrove High School or North Bromsgrove High School. In the latest Ofsted report in 2012, St John's was awarded 'Outstanding' status.

New College Worcester (or NCW; formerly RNIB New College) is an independent boarding and day school for students, aged 11–19, who are blind or partially sighted. It caters for around 80 students. It is located in the city of Worcester, England. A 2012 Ofsted inspection classed the school with a Grade 2 (Good). The school has also been featured in the Good Schools Guide.

Sidemoor is a village within the urban area of Bromsgrove, Worcestershire. The local school, Sidemoor First School, opened in 1884 and was relocated in 2007 to a new site on the edge of the village using money from a private finance initiative.As a result of high housing costs in the town, plans have been submitted to construct more affordable housing in the area, both on the former school site and nearby to the new school.

South Bromsgrove High School (SBHS) is a co-educational, upper school and sixth form with academy status, located in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, England. It is located opposite the housing estate of Charford. The school delivers to GCSE, and A level students from an area between Alvechurch and Malvern with around 1,350 students on roll.
