Miller Theater (Philadelphia)

The Wilma Theater is a non-profit theater company located at 265 S. Broad Street at the corner of Spruce Street in the Avenue of the Arts area of Center City, Philadelphia. The company's current 296-seat theater opened in 1996 and was designed by Hugh Hardy.

The Academy of Music, also known as American Academy of Music, is a concert hall and opera house located at 240 S. Broad Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Its location is between Locust and Manning Streets in the Avenue of the Arts area of Center City. The hall was built in 1855–57 and is the oldest opera house in the United States that is still used for its original purpose. Known as the "Grand Old Lady of Locust Street," the venue is the home of the Philadelphia Ballet and Opera Philadelphia. It was also home to the Philadelphia Orchestra from its inception in 1900 until 2001, when the orchestra moved to the new Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. The Philadelphia Orchestra still retains ownership of the Academy.The hall was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1962.

The Dr. Joseph Leidy House is a historic residence located at 1319 Locust Street between S. 13th and S. Juniper Streets in the Washington Square West neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1893-94 and was designed in the Georgian style by architect Wilson Eyre to be the home of Joseph Leidy, Jr., the nephew of Joseph Leidy (1823–1891), a noted American paleontologist with whom he is often confused. The house is next door to the Clarence B. Moore House, which was designed by Eyre in 1890. From 1925 to 1979, the Leidy House served as the clubhouse of the now-defunct Poor Richard Club, whose members worked in advertising, and with the Moore House next door, was part of the Charles Morris Price School of Advertising and Journalism. Currently, it is the headquarters of District 1199C, the National Union of Hospital and Health Care Employees.The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The Art Club of Philadelphia, often called the Philadelphia Art Club, was a club in Philadelphia, founded on February 7, 1887, to advance the arts. It took on the same spirit as the Century Club of New York City: a comfortable, even opulent, place for member artists and art amateurs to work, stay, and socialize. Its charter proclaimed: The objects of the Club shall be to advance the knowledge and love of the Fine Arts, through the exhibition of works of Art, the acquisition of books and papers for the purpose of forming an Art library, lectures upon subjects pertaining to Art, receptions given to men or women distinguished in Art, Literature, Science or Politics, and by other kindred means, and to promote social intercourse among its members. The Art Club was one of the country's leading venues for solo and group art shows. Each year, the club presented a gold medal to the artist of an outstanding work, an art award that was viewed as one of the nation's most prestigious. The club dissolved on November 9, 1940.

The Equitable Trust Building (also known as the Broad and Locust Building) is a historic commercial skyscraper located at 1405 Locust Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Opera Philadelphia (prior to 2013 Opera Company of Philadelphia (OCP)) is an American opera company in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and is the city's only company producing grand opera. The organization produces one festival in September (Festival O) and additional operas in the spring season, encompassing works from the 17th through the 21st century. The famed Academy of Music, the oldest opera house to be continuously in use for its original purpose within the United States, is currently the venue for three of the company's performances. The company is led by David Devan, who was appointed general director in 2011.

The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts is a large performing arts venue at 300 South Broad Street and the corner of Spruce Street, along the stretch known as the Avenue of the Arts in Center City Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is owned and operated by Kimmel Cultural Center, which also manages the Academy of Music in Philadelphia, and, as of November 2016, the Miller Theater. The center is named after philanthropist Sidney Kimmel. The center is the home of the Philadelphia Orchestra, one of America's "Big Five" symphony orchestras. It is also the home venue of the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, Philadanco, the Philadelphia Chamber Music Society, and the Kimmel Center Presents performance series, which features a variety of jazz, classical, and world pop performers.

Arthaus is a 525 ft (160 m) tall modern luxury residential skyscraper located on 301 South Broad Street in Philadelphia. It was built in 2022 for an estimated cost of $253 million dollars and has 41 floors. As of November 2025 it is the 14th-tallest building in Philadelphia and the 22nd-tallest building in Pennsylvania. The building has 108 residential units and 36,000 sq ft of amenities including a fitness center, a rooftop greenhouse which is one of the first of its kind, a library, and an outdoor pool. There is also 4,200 sq ft of retail space at the ground floor. The building is located in the Avenue of the Arts District, and sits opposite from the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. The building was designed by Kohn Pederson Fox who designed other skyscrapers in Philadelphia like the BNY Mellon Center, Two Logan Square, and One Logan Square. This building was Kohn Pedersen Fox's first residential skyscraper in Philadelphia.

The Bellevue-Stratford Hotel is a landmark building at 200 S. Broad Street at the corner of Walnut Street in Center City Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Constructed in 1904 and expanded to its present size in 1912, it has continued as a well-known institution for more than a century and is still widely known by that original, historic name. In 1988, the building was converted to a mixed-use development. It has been known since then as The Bellevue. The hotel portion is currently managed by Hyatt as The Bellevue Hotel.

The Philly Pops is an orchestra based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Founded by presenter and producer, Moe Septee, and conducted for 35 years by two time Grammy Award-winning pianist Peter Nero, the Philly Pops plays orchestral versions of popular jazz, swing, Broadway songs and blues. David Charles Abell took over the positions of principal conductor and music director in 2020. On October 4, 1999, the Philly Pops was designated the official pops orchestra of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.The Philly Pops will cease operations after the 2022-2023 season.

The Clarence B. Moore House is a historic home located at 1321 Locust Street at the corner of S. Juniper Street between S. 13th and S. Broad Streets in the Washington Square West neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Moore house was built in 1890 and was designed by architect Wilson Eyre as the home of the merchant, archaeologist, and writer Clarence Bloomfield Moore (1852-1936). It sits next to the Dr. Joseph Leidy House, which Eyre designed in 1893. The Moore House is a three-story brick building with a raised basement and attic. It was designed in an eclectic style and features a steep slate roof, Gothic-style pointed arched openings, a Venetian loggia on the top floor, projecting walled steps, a large, circular tower inspired by Loire Valley chateaux, and two massive chimneys. The exterior uses rusticated and smooth limestone, Roman brick, and slate. Despite the unusual combination of styles and materials, the house has been called "a delicately balanced asymmetrical composition."The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.
