Washington Highlands Historic District

Saint James Evangelical Lutheran Church is a Lutheran congregation in the Washington Heights neighborhood of Milwaukee. It is a member of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS).

Schoonmaker Reef, also known as Wauwatosa Reef, Schoonmaker Quarry, Raphu Station or Francey Reef is a 425 million year-old fossilized reef in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. It was discovered in 1844 by Increase A. Lapham and Fisk Day on the site of a quarry owned by the Schoonmaker family. Geologist James Hall declared its significance in 1862. It was the first ancient reef described in North America, and among the first described in the world. It is located North of W. State St., between N. 66th St. and N. 64th St. extended, in Wauwatosa. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1997.

The West Washington-North Hi-Mount Boulevards Historic District is a historic neighborhood in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with stylish homes built along the named streets beginning in 1912, mostly businessmen and professionals. In 1994 the district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Vennture Brew Company is a microbrewery and coffee shop in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States, that opened in 2018. Vennture was created by three photographers who turned their hobby projects in coffee and beer into a successful business; in 2022, Yelp listed them as the best brewery in the state of Wisconsin. Headquartered in a former hardware store, they are known for their "The Heights" saison. It is one of a small minority of US breweries that are partly or wholly Black-owned.

WJOI (1340 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It is known on-air as "Joy 1340/98.7". WJOI is owned by the Milwaukee Radio Group subsidiary of Saga Communications, with radio studios and offices on Milwaukee's West Side. The transmitter is on West Martin Drive in Milwaukee. Programming is also heard on 99-watt FM translator W254CU at 98.7 MHz.WJOI has a Christian talk and teaching radio format most of the day. On weekdays it largely broadcasts national religious leaders including Chuck Swindoll, David Jeremiah, Joyce Meyer, Jim Daly and Alistair Begg. Some hours of the night and weekends, WJOI carries "Today's Christian Music" from the Salem Radio Network. And Sunday hours also include brokered ethnic programming, largely German and Polish, including Polka music.

WHQG ("102.9 The Hog") is an active rock FM radio station licensed to and serving the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area. The station is owned by the Milwaukee Radio Group subsidiary of Saga Communications. Its studios (which are shared with the other four sister stations) and transmitter are located in Milwaukee's West Side.

WRXS (106.9 MHz; "Pure Oldies 106.9") is a commercial FM radio station licensed to Brookfield, Wisconsin, and serving the Milwaukee metropolitan area. The station is owned by the Milwaukee Radio Group subsidiary of Saga Communications. It broadcasts an oldies radio format, known as "Pure Oldies," concentrating on 1950s, 60s and 70s hits. It switches to Christmas music during the holiday season. WRXS has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 4,400 watts. The transmitter and radio studios are on Milwaukee's West Side, off West McKinley Avenue.

WJMR-FM (98.3 FM) is an urban adult contemporary radio station serving the Milwaukee, Wisconsin, area. They are known on-air as "Jammin' 98.3", and are licensed to Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. Under ownership of the Milwaukee Radio Group subsidiary of Saga Communications, its studios (which are shared with the other four sister stations) and transmitter are located in Milwaukee's West Side.

Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) is the largest school district in Wisconsin. As of the 2015–16 school year, MPS served 75,568 students in 154 schools and had 9,636 full-time equivalent (FTE) staff positions. The Milwaukee Public Schools system is the one of the largest in the United States by enrollment. A publicly elected school board, the Milwaukee Board of School Directors, provides direction and oversight, with a superintendent heading the organization's administration. Milwaukee Public Schools' offerings include neighborhood schools, specialty schools and charter schools serving students as young as age 3 up through grade 12.

Hart Park is a 19.5-acre (7.9 ha) park on the Menomonee River in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Created in 1921 and originally known as City Park, the park has a football/soccer field, baseball diamond, field house, several tennis courts, a skate park, and nature trails. In 1960, to commemorate Wauwatosa's 125th anniversary, the common council named the park Charles Hart Park to recognize the city's founder. A curling facility, sports fields, tennis courts and skating rink were established by 1926. The field house, constructed by the Works Progress Administration, opened in 1929. The WPA made many improvements to the park, including the addition of stone walls, a new football field, bleachers, an indoor curling rink and a parking lot. The roller rink and baseball diamonds opened in 1942.The athletic field is artificial turf and can host high school and college football, soccer, field hockey, and lacrosse. It is currently used as the home field for the NCAA Marquette Golden Eagles lacrosse teams and, as of 2017, the Milwaukee Torrent soccer team of the NPSL and WPSL .Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Hart Park hosted Forward Madison FC as their home venue for the 2020 USL League One season.

Wauwatosa East High School is a comprehensive four-year public high school in the city of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. It is part of the Wauwatosa School District. The school was originally known as Wauwatosa Senior High School until the opening of Wauwatosa West High School in September 1960. The first graduating class of Wauwatosa East High School was in June 1962. Today, the school is often colloquially referred to as Tosa East.

Vliet Street Commons is a public art work by American artist Jill Sebastian, located on the west side of Milwaukee, Wisconsin near 50th and Vliet Streets. The work was created as part of a revitalization effort.
