Randhurst Ice Arena

Randhurst Village, previously known as Randhurst Mall and Randhurst Center or simply Randhurst, is a shopping mall located at the corner of Rand Road (U.S. Route 12) and Elmhurst Road (Illinois Route 83) in Mount Prospect, Illinois. The mall took its name from combining the names of these two roads. The original owner of the mall was the Randhurst Corporation (a joint venture of Carson Pirie Scott, Wieboldt's, and Montgomery Ward). At the time of its 1962 opening, it was the first enclosed regional mall in the Chicago area and the largest enclosed air-conditioned space in the United States. In 2009, the mall was demolished and rebuilt as Randhurst Village. Currently owned by DLC Management, this open-air mixed-use center features national and regional retailers, several restaurants, second-floor offices, a 140-room hotel and a 12-screen cinema. It is now anchored by AMC Theatres, Costco Wholesale and Hampton by Hilton. Other stores include Home Depot, Jewel-Osco, PetSmart, and TJ Maxx among others.

The Mount Prospect Public Library is a public library located in Mount Prospect, Illinois, United States, a suburb of Chicago. A staff of 171 full and part-time employees work at the Library, in more than a dozen areas throughout the 101,000-square-foot facility. Currently more than 61,000 patrons are registered cardholders. The collection has approximately 497,000 items on file, with an annual circulation figure of more than one million. The Library is governed by a Board of Library Trustees, consisting of seven members, who are elected by the voters of the Village. The Board elects every year from among its members appropriate officers. All members serve without remuneration. Regular meetings of the Board are held in the Library.

Mount Prospect is a village in Elk Grove and Wheeling Townships in Cook County, Illinois, about 20 miles (32 km) northwest of downtown Chicago, and approximately 4 miles north of O'Hare International Airport. As of the 2020 census, the village had a total population of 56,852.

In Metra's zone-based fare structure, Mount Prospect is located in zone D. As of 2018, Mount Prospect is the 11th busiest of the 236 non-downtown stations in the Metra system, with an average of 1,879 weekday boardings. The station has three tracks; an outbound track to the southwest, an inbound track to the northeast, and a bidirectional express track in the middle. There is a station house on the inbound platform where tickets may be purchased. Parking is available near Mount Prospect. As of April 25, 2022, Mount Prospect is served by 27 inbound trains and 28 outbound trains on weekdays, by 16 inbound trains and 15 outbound trains on Saturdays, and by nine inbound trains and 10 outbound trains on Sundays.

Rainbow Hospice and Palliative Care, founded in 1981, is one of the oldest and largest non-profit hospice and palliative care providers in Illinois. With main offices at 1550 Bishop Court in Mt. Prospect and additional offices in Elgin and Urbana, Rainbow serves patients in seven counties throughout Illinois: Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry and Will counties. Rainbow Hospice and Palliative Care is accredited by the Community Health Accreditation Program (CHAP) as of 2013. As an accrediting body, CHAP has regulatory authorization to survey agencies providing home health and hospice services, to determine whether they meet the Medicare Conditions of Participation (COPs).

In Metra's zone-based fare system, Prospect Heights is in zone E. As of 2018, Prospect Heights is the 144th busiest of Metra's 236 non-downtown stations, with an average of 304 weekday boardings.

Prospect Heights School District 23 is a school district located in Prospect Heights, Illinois, a Chicago suburb. The majority of the schools, (Betsy Ross Elementary School, Anne Sullivan Elementary School, and Douglas A. MacArthur Middle School) are located in the corner of Palatine Rd. and Schoenbeck Rd. Dwight D. Eisenhower Elementary School is located near the Public Library and Park District center of the city at Camp McDonald Rd. and Schoenbeck Rd. Altogether, a total of about 1,450 student attend the school. A little less than half attend the middle school. Students from Prospect Heights, Arlington Heights, Mount Prospect and Wheeling attend the school district. The districts students later attend Township High School District 214 going to either John Hersey High School or Wheeling High School.

Wheeling Township is one of 29 townships in Cook County, Illinois, USA. As of the 2010 census, its population was 153,630. It is the northeasternmost and most populated of the six northwest Cook County townships that form the panhandle.

Cumberland station is one of two commuter railroad stations on Metra's Union Pacific Northwest Line in the city of Des Plaines, Illinois. It is officially located at 475 East Northwest Highway (US 14), and lies 18.2 miles (29.3 km) from Ogilvie Transportation Center in Chicago. In Metra's zone-based fare system, Cumberland is in zone D. As of 2018, Cumberland is the 109th busiest of the 236 non-downtown stations in the Metra system, with an average of 442 weekday boardings.As of April 25, 2022, Cumberland is served by 27 inbound trains and 28 outbound trains on weekdays, by 16 inbound trains and 15 outbound trains on Saturdays, and by nine inbound trains and 10 outbound trains on Sundays. While Metra gives the address as 475 East Northwest Highway, the main parking area is across the tracks and is only accessible from East Golf Road between a Union Pacific freight line crossing, and the intersection of Wolf and Seeger Roads, where East Golf Road turns under both the UP-NW Line and Northwest Highway. Along Northwest Highway itself, there is some parking along the eastbound lane between the State Street-Cornell Avenue intersection and the station house west of the bridge over East Golf Road. Southeast of this station, the Union Pacific Northwest Line passes through Deval Tower, a three-way junction with Metra’s North Central Service and the Union Pacific's "New Line" to Milwaukee.
