The Milwaukee Road Depot in Marinette, Wisconsin was built in 1903 by the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad (otherwise known as The Milwaukee Road) to replace an earlier depot.

It is included in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2021–2025, in which it is categorized as a local general aviation facility.The airport received $30,000 from the U.S. Department of Transportation in 2020 as part of the CARES Act to help mitigate the effects of the covid-19 pandemic.

The Little River is a 35.2-mile-long (56.6 km) tributary of the Menominee River on the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in the United States. It rises south of Stephenson and flows south to join the Menominee River 3 miles (5 km) upstream from the twin cities of Menominee, Michigan-Marinette, Wisconsin, on Lake Michigan.

The Dunlap Square Building is a historic commercial block in Marinette, Wisconsin, United States, and is registered on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.The building is a 2-story commercial block designed in Queen Anne style, with a granite foundation, walls of rustic red brick, a brick cornice on some walls, a pressed metal cornice on other walls. Some corners sport brick oriels - one topped with an onion dome. The floor plan is triangular, filling a block of the same shape. Inside, a fine dark oak staircase leads to the second story. On that level the halls have wooden wainscoting and wood paneling over plaster walls. Older rooms have plaster walls and pressed metal ceilings.Before this building was constructed, the triangular block hosted a combination of smaller wood and brick buildings. Around 1890 some of them were razed to make way for the back end of the current building. Gradually more old buildings were cleared and the building was completed in 1902. The oldest part of the block housed a dry goods store and saloon, with offices above. Over the years, a telephone exchange was added, attorneys' offices, a dress shop and a news agency. The saloon became a soda fountain during Prohibition. Part of the block housed a cafe and restaurant from 1937 into the '70s.The NRHP nomination declares this block "the finest Queen Anne building in Marinette's downtown."

Lauerman Brothers Department Store was a department store chain in the early 20th century. Its flagship store in Marinette, Wisconsin is a registered historic place. The chain consisted of 13 stores in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Iowa.

Marinette is a city in and the county seat of Marinette County, Wisconsin, United States. It is located on the south bank of the Menominee River, at its mouth at Green Bay, part of Lake Michigan; to the north is Stephenson Island, part of the city preserved as park. During the lumbering boom of the late 19th century, Marinette became the tenth-largest city in Wisconsin in 1900, reaching a peak population of 16,195. Marinette is the principal city of the Marinette, Wisconsin–Michigan Micropolitan Statistical Area, which includes all of Marinette County, Wisconsin and Menominee County, Michigan. The population was 10,968 at the 2010 census. Menominee, Michigan is across the river to the north, and the cities are connected by three bridges. Menominee and Marinette are sometimes described as the "twin cities" of the Menominee River.

Stephenson Island (formerly "Stephenson Isle") is located in the Menominee River within the boundary of Marinette, Wisconsin at a latitude of 45.1019294 north and longitude 87.6292735 west, at an elevation of 587 feet. It is named after Isaac Stephenson, a prominent politician and lumberman in Marinette at the turn of the 20th century. The island is operated as a city park and is uninhabited. US Highway 41 runs across it, which provides access to the park's pavilion, gazebo, playground, and picnic areas.A footbridge to the island connects from the Marinette side of the river, adjacent to the Wisconsin Tourist Information building and the Stephenson Public Library. In homage to the city's logging past, there is a logging museum on the island, operated by the Marinette County Historical Society. The island is a popular place for access to the Menominee River for sport fishing and launching recreational boats.The island is the location for Marinette's Civil War memorial, The Soldiers Memorial. It is a figure of a soldier at parade rest, hewn from pink Westerly granite. The memorial is a total of 25 feet high and was given by Isaac Stephenson. It was dedicated in 1917. The memorial was designed by architect Wallace W. DeLong of Appleton, Wisconsin.

The Interstate Bridge between Marinette, Wisconsin and Menominee, Michigan carries U.S. Highway 41 (US 41) over the Menominee River. The current bridge was completed in November 2005 and replaced the previous span built in 1929.

Menominee High School (MHS, also known as Menominee Junior/Senior High School) is a public, coeducational secondary school in Menominee, Michigan. It is the sole high school in the Menominee Area Public Schools district, which serves southern Menominee County.

WMAM (570 AM) is a class D radio station in Marinette, Wisconsin, serving the Marinette/Menominee, Michigan area. It operates omnidirectionally with a daytime power of 250 watts and a reduced nighttime power of 100 watts. Although presently classified as a Class D station, this station was originally classified as a "Class C [Class IV; Local] station 'grandfathered' as operating on a Class B [Class III; Regional] channel" one of only two such stations in the U.S. Official FCC license note: "CLASS IV ON REGIONAL CHANNEL; SEE §73.29" WMAM currently carries ESPN Radio.
