Daming Temple

Weiyang District (simplified Chinese: 维扬区; traditional Chinese: 維揚區; pinyin: Wéiyáng Qū) was a district of the city of Yangzhou, Jiangsu province, People's Republic of China. In November 2011, it was merged into Hanjiang District.The district included the northern part of Yangzhou's main urban area, and adjacent suburbs.

The Five-Pavilion Bridge, also known as the Lotus Bridge and by other names, is a covered stone arch footbridge in the Slender West Lake National Park in Hanjiang District, Yangzhou, in Jiangsu, China. It is one of the Four Bridges in Misty Rain, one of the 24 Views of Yangzhou under the Qing, and has become a landmark of the city.

Shouxihu Subdistrict (Chinese: 瘦西湖街道; pinyin: Shòuxīhú Jiēdào) is a subdistrict in Hanjiang District, Yangzhou, Jiangsu, China. As of 2020, it administers the following four residential communities and two villages: Yuanlin Community (园林社区) Youyi Community (友谊社区) Binhu Community (滨湖社区) Wuting Community (五亭社区) Zonghe Village (综合村) Baocheng Village (堡城村)

The Lianxing Temple, also known as the Fahai Temple and by other names, is a Buddhist temple in Yangzhou, Jiangsu, China. It is located on a small island south of the central stretch of the Slender West Lake Scenic Area near the Five-Pavilion Bridge and is primarily known for its Tibetan-style dagoba.

Xiaojinshan is a small island in Slender West Lake just west of central Yangzhou, Jiangsu, in eastern China. Pedestrian bridges connect it north and south to the banks of the lake.

Xu Garden, also known by its Chinese name as Xuyuan, Xu Yuan, or Xuyuan Garden, is a Chinese garden in Slender West Lake National Park in Hanjiang District, Yangzhou, China. It is particularly noted for its views and for the woodwork inside its pavilions.

Slender West Lake, also known by its Chinese name Shouxihu and by other names, is a scenic lake in Hanjiang District in central Yangzhou, China. The lake developed from the city moats of Tang-era Yangzhou. During the Qing dynasty, its banks were the site of numerous estates for the area's wealthy officials and salt merchants. The lake and some of its attractions have been restored as a national park and AAAAA tourist attraction, requiring a ticket for admission and open only from 7 am to 6 pm.

Hanjiang District is one of the three districts of Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province, in eastern China. It is one of the two districts (along with Guangling District) that divide the prefecture's urbanized core. It includes roughly the western half of Yangzhou's central city and adjacent suburbs. The Yangtze River and the Grand Canal of China serve as the district's principal southern and eastern borders. In the past, the northern part of Yangzhou's main urban area constituted the separate Weiyang District but, in late 2011, Weiyang District was abolished and merged into Hanjiang.

Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou (simplified Chinese: 扬州八怪; traditional Chinese: 揚州八怪; pinyin: Yángzhoū Bā Guài) is the name for a group of eight Chinese painters active in the eighteenth century who were known in the Qing Dynasty for rejecting the orthodox ideas about painting in favor of a style deemed expressive and individualist.The term was also used because they each had strong personalities at variance with the conventions of their own time. Most of them were from impoverished or troubled backgrounds. Still, the term is, generally, more a statement about their artistic style than any social eccentricities. The eight had an influence on and association with painters like Gao Fenghan, as well as several others.

Yangzhou, postal romanization Yangchow, is a prefecture-level city in central Jiangsu Province, East China. Sitting on the north bank of the Yangtze, it borders the provincial capital Nanjing to the southwest, Huai'an to the north, Yancheng to the northeast, Taizhou to the east, and Zhenjiang across the river to the south. Its population was 4,559,797 at the 2020 census and its urban area is home to 2,635,435 inhabitants, including three urban districts, currently in the agglomeration. Historically, Yangzhou was one of the wealthiest cities in China, known at various periods for its great merchant families, poets, artists, and scholars. Its name (lit. "Rising Prefecture") refers to its former position as the capital of the ancient Yangzhou prefecture in imperial China. Yangzhou was one of the first cities to benefit from one of the earliest World Bank loans in China, used to construct Yangzhou thermal power station in 1994.

Yechun Garden (冶春茶社) is a distinctive garden in Yangzhou, China. Yechun in Chinese means "girls and boys go on some outings in spring".
