Holy Angels Church is located in the lower west side of Buffalo, New York, adjacent to D'Youville College. The parish has been served by the Oblates of Mary Immaculate from 1851-2020. In October 2020, D'Youville College purchased the Holy Angels Church, Rectory, and Convent.

The International Preparatory School is a high school that serves grades 9–12 in the Lower West Side of Buffalo, New York . It focuses on providing ample college coursework to prepare its students for post-secondary education. The school chiefly draws on the largely immigrant population of the West Side, and over 40 languages are spoken by the student body. The current principal is Ms. Ella Dunne.

Engine House No. 2 and Hook and Ladder No. 9, also known as Jersey Street Firehouse, is a historic fire station located at Buffalo in Erie County, New York.

Leonardo da Vinci High School is a high school in the lower west side of Buffalo, New York. There are 400 students enrolled in da Vinci spanning grades 9–12. The high school building is located on the D'Youville College campus. The school located at 334 Porter Avenue and serves Grades 9 through 12. The current principal is Gregory Lodinsky.

D'Youville University (D'Youville or DYU) is a private university in Buffalo, New York. It was founded as D'Youville College in 1908 and named by the Grey Nuns after the patroness saint Marie-Marguerite d'Youville. As of Fall 2020 D'Youville College serves 2,785 students (1,475 undergraduate, 1,310 graduate) and has 54 degree majors the health sciences, business, and liberal arts for undergraduate and graduate students. In February 2022, the New York State Board of Regents approved a name change to D'Youville University.

Buffalo Public School No. 77 is a historic school building located in Buffalo, Erie County, New York. It was built in 1927, and is a three-story, rectangular, brick building with Classical Revival detailing. It has a courtyard plan with a double-height gymnasium at one end and a double-height auditorium at the other. The building is an example of a typical standardized public school plan developed by Ernest Crimi. The school building has been redeveloped as senior housing and a neighborhood community center. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2017.

Riverside Park is the name of a former baseball ground located in Buffalo, New York, United States. The ground was home to the Buffalo Bisons baseball club of the International Association in 1878, and the National League from 1879 through 1883. Although first used in 1878, its name as known to historians first surfaced in 1882. One local newspaper, employing that era's typical built-in editorializing, stated "The Directors have dubbed the ballgrounds 'Riverside Park.' The name is not appropriate, but it will do." [Buffalo Commercial, April 29, 1882, p.3] (The ballpark was at least 1,000 feet from the Niagara River bank.) Located on a block bounded by Fargo Avenue (southwest), Rhode Island Street (northwest), West Avenue (northeast), and Vermont Street (southeast), Riverside Park was the first ballpark to be used by the major league Bisons. The stadium was demolished at the request of its owner, Alexander Culbert, who wanted to redevelop the property. The Bisons moved to Olympic Park for the 1884 season and beyond. The rectangular block is today part of the residential neighborhood of Prospect Hill.

Fargo Estate Historic District is a national historic district located at Buffalo, Erie County, New York. The district encompasses 390 contributing buildings, 1 contributing site, and 2 contributing objects on the Lower West Side of Buffalo. This predominantly residential district developed between about 1850 and 1930, and includes notable examples of Italianate, Queen Anne, Colonial Revival, and American Craftsman style architecture. A 2 1/2-block section of the neighborhood was developed between about 1888 and 1910 on the former "Fargo Estate," the home of William Fargo. Located in the district are the separately listed Engine House No. 2 and Hook and Ladder No. 9 and a section of the Delaware Park-Front Park System (Porter Avenue). Other notable buildings include the Benedict House (c. 1890), Plymouth Methodist Episcopal Church / now Karpeles Library and Manuscript Museum (1912), and West Side Presbyterian Church / now Iglesia de Cristo Misionera (1882).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.

Kleinhans Music Hall is a concert venue located on Symphony Circle in Buffalo, New York. The hall "is renowned for its acoustical excellence and graceful architecture." Kleinhans is currently the home of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, a regular venue for the Buffalo Chamber Music Society, and is rented out for other performing groups and local events. The building was designed by father-and-son team Eliel Saarinen and Eero Saarinen, with help from local architects F. J. and W. A. Kidd, Stanley McCandless as lighting consultant, and Charles C. Potwin as acoustical adviser. Kleinhans has two performance spaces, as well as additional rooms for rehearsals or private events. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1989 for its architecture, 49 years after its completion.

Connecticut Street Armory, also known as the 74th Regimental Armory, is a historic National Guard armory building located at Buffalo in Erie County, New York. It is sited at Columbus Park. It is a massive castle-like structure built in 1899 of Medina sandstone. It was designed by architect Isaac G. Perry. It consists of a 3+1⁄2-story administration building with an attached 2-story drill shed all constructed of sandstone, lying on a rusticated battered stone foundation. The building features 4- to 6-story towers surrounding the administration building, and a 6+1⁄2-story square tower at the center entrance. It is home to the 74th Regiment of the New York National Guard. Prior to its construction, the site was home to a 13.5 million gallon reservoir.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.

A statue of Christopher Columbus by the sculptor Giovanni Polizzi formerly stood in Columbus Park, in Buffalo, New York.

The First Presbyterian Church in Buffalo, New York was the first organized religious body formed in what was then the western frontier of New York State. The town of Buffalo was sparsely populated when the church was organized on February 2, 1812. However, having survived the War of 1812, the town of Buffalo was rebuilt and rapidly grew with the completion of the Erie Canal in 1825. The first two buildings were located on the same downtown lot. However, the congregation relocated between 1889 and 1891 to its present location approximately one and-a-half miles to the north in a more residential area.
