Dingestow Court

Upper Tal-y-fan, Dingestow, Monmouthshire is a farmhouse dating from the late-Medieval period. Subsequently, enlarged, it remains a private house and is a Grade II* listed building.

Dingestow (pronounced DINJ-stoh, Welsh: Llanddingad) is a small village in Monmouthshire, Wales. It is located 4 miles (6.4 km) south-west of Monmouth and approximately the same distance north-east of Raglan in rural Monmouthshire. The River Trothy passes through the village.

The Church of St Dingat in Dingestow, Monmouthshire, Wales, is a parish church dating from the 14th century. It is dedicated to Saint Dingat or Dingad, a 5th-century Welsh saint. The church was almost completely rebuilt by Thomas Henry Wyatt in 1846 and further renovated by Richard Creed in 1887–1888. It is an active parish church and a Grade II* listed building.

Dingestow Station was a station on the Coleford, Monmouth, Usk and Pontypool Railway. It was built in 1857 during the construction of the line and was located 3 miles and 32 chains from Monmouth Troy. It was intended to serve the nearby village of Dingestow. It was closed in May 1955 due to a drivers' strike.

It is located on the site of an early Welsh defensive earthwork. The church was restored in 1884–85. It remains an active church in the parish of Llangovan with Pen-y-clawdd. Treowen (or Tre-owen) is an early 17th-century house in Monmouthshire, Wales, regarded as "the most important gentry house (of its date) in the county". It is located in open countryside within the parish of Wonastow, about ½ mile (1 km) north-east of the village of Dingestow, and 3 miles (4.8 km) south-west of Monmouth. After being used as a farmhouse for three centuries, Treowen now operates as a conference and functions venue and holds the annual Wye Valley Chamber Music Festival. It is a Grade I listed building, and its gardens are designated Grade II on the Cadw/ICOMOS Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest in Wales.

Monmouth (Welsh: Mynwy) is a county constituency of the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom (at Westminster). The seat was created for the 1918 general election. Since 2005 the Member of Parliament (MP) has been David Davies of the Conservative Party.The Monmouth Senedd constituency, created in 1999, has normally the same boundaries as the Westminster constituency. These cover a large area, omitting the mainly urban areas of Blaenau Gwent in the west and Newport, Wales in the south. The constituency is set to be abolished, as part of the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies and under the June 2023 final recommendations of the Boundary Commission for Wales for the next United Kingdom general election. Its wards is to be split between Monmouthshire and Torfaen.

Pen-y-clawdd Farmhouse, Raglan, Monmouthshire is a gentry house dating from the early 17th century. Owned by the Bradburys, High Sheriffs of Monmouthshire, and later by the Williams family and then the Prichards of Penallt, it remains a privately owned farmhouse. The building is Grade II* listed.

Old Trecastle Farmhouse, Pen-y-clawdd, Monmouthshire is a farmhouse, originally, a gentry house, dating from the 16th and 17th centuries. It stands on the site of the outworks of a Norman motte-and-bailey castle. The house is Grade II* listed.
