Halle Steensland House

The Lake Mendota Boathouse was a recreational building and storage facility owned by the University of Wisconsin located on Lake Mendota in Madison, Wisconsin. It was designed and built by architect Frank Lloyd Wright after he was awarded the commission of the building in 1893 based on drawings he submitted to a competition held by the Madison Park and Pleasure Drive Association. The primary functions of the building were to store recreational equipment and to serve as a viewing deck for "boating events and races that took place on the lake." The design of the building consisted of two brick towers topped with Wright's classic Prairie School style roofs which were visible on the lake side of the building. On the opposite side of the building, a semicircular loggia made up the facade and the entrance on the street. Arches were used throughout the structure, including arched windows adorning each side of the towers in sets of three, arched doorways at the base of each tower on the shoreline, and a large arch situated in the center. The boathouse stood on its site on North Carroll Street in the Mansion Hill Historic District for 33 years until it was demolished in 1926.

The Mansion Hill Historic District encompasses a part of the Mansion Hill neighborhood of Madison, Wisconsin. The district was home to several members of Madison's upper class during the 19th century. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

Madison Female Academy was a school for girls which flourished in the 19th century in Madison, Wisconsin, USA, and is now mainly famous as the site of the first classes held by the University of Wisconsin–Madison.In the late 19th century, its grounds were acquired to become a railway depot. After some years operating from less satisfactory premises the school closed.

The former First Church of Christ Scientist, is an historic Christian Science church building located at 315 Wisconsin Avenue, Madison, Wisconsin, United States. Built in 1929, it was designed in the Classical Revival-style by noted Madison architect Frank M. Riley. On November 24, 1982, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.The building is now occupied by Hiebing, a marketing and advertising agency. First Church of Christ, Scientist, now holds services at 610 South Segoe Road.

Overture Center for the Arts is a performing arts center and art gallery in Madison, Wisconsin, United States. The center opened on September 19, 2004, replacing the former Civic Center. In addition to several theaters, the center also houses the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art.

The Madison Museum of Contemporary Art (MMoCA), formerly known as the Madison Art Center, is an independent, non-profit art museum located in downtown Madison, Wisconsin. MMoCA is dedicated to exhibiting, collecting, and preserving modern and contemporary art. Its mission is to educate and inspire by means of rotating permanent collection exhibitions, special exhibitions, film series, and educational programming. The museum opened in its current home adjacent to the Overture Center for the Arts on April 23, 2006. Both MMoCA and the Overture Center were designed by world-renowned architect César Pelli.

The Madison Masonic Temple is a masonic temple located in Madison, Wisconsin. Designed by Madison architects James R. and Edward J. Law in 1915 and redesigned after World War I in 1922, the temple was built during 1923 to 1925. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.It is a three-story building with four colossal columns in its front facade, with its three main entrances set back from them. It is 112 by 182 feet (34 m × 55 m) in plan and has a large, 1200-plus seat auditorium in its rear section.The auditorium and other spaces are used by the public for rehearsals and performances.

The Wisconsin Veterans Museum, located on Capitol Square in Madison, Wisconsin, United States, is dedicated to telling the stories of the veterans of the state of Wisconsin. The museum is composed of two galleries that chronicle the history of Wisconsin citizens who served in the U.S. military from the American Civil War to present day. The Wisconsin Veterans Museum is an educational activity of the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs. The museum dates to 1901 when it was established as the Grand Army of the Republic Memorial Hall in the Wisconsin State Capitol.
