Llanvihangel Crucorney (Welsh: Llanfihangel Crucornau) is a small village in the community (parish) of Crucorney, Monmouthshire, Wales. It is located 5 miles (8.0 km) north of Abergavenny and 18 miles (29 km) southwest of Hereford, England on the A465 road.

Llanvihangel railway station was a former station which served the Monmouthshire village of Llanvihangel Crucorney. It was located on the Welsh Marches Line between Hereford and Abergavenny. The platforms were staggered beneath the road bridge. Station buildings were substantially constructed of stone. Llanvihangel is close to the summit of the Llanvihangel Bank as it climbs north from Abergavenny at a 1 in 82 gradient. The station closed in 1958. The double line remains in use but the platforms have been removed.

Skirrid Fawr (Welsh: Ysgyryd Fawr , Welsh pronunciation: [ɐsˈɡɐɾɪd ˈvæuɾ]), often referred to as just the Skirrid, is an easterly outlier of the Black Mountains in Wales. It forms the easternmost part of the Brecon Beacons National Park. The smaller hill of Ysgyryd Fach or "Little Skirrid" (270 metres or 890 feet) lies about 2+1⁄2 miles (4 kilometres) south. It is 486 metres (1,594 feet) high and lies just to the north-east of Abergavenny, Monmouthshire, about ten miles (16 kilometres) from the English border. The Beacons Way passes along the ridge.

Its origins are older but the present building was constructed by the Delahayes at the very end of the 17th century when the house sat in Herefordshire. It has since been extended and reconstructed giving an "obscure and complicated" building history. The house is Grade II* listed. The parkland has traces of 17th-century terracing and a rare Grade II* listed dovecote. It is listed Grade II on the Cadw/ICOMOS Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest in Wales.

It is a Tudor manor house, which lies within the bailey of what was Penyclawdd Castle, and is thought to date from circa 1625.
