Brwinów railway station

Brwinów [ˈbrvʲinuf] is a town in Pruszków County, Masovian Voivodeship, Poland, about 25 km (16 mi) from the centre of Warsaw. As of December 2021, the town has a population of 13,718.Until 1954, Brwinów was the location of the Helenów parish council and between 1917 and 1949 it was also Letnisko-Brwinów's major town. Between 1975 and 1998, Brwinów belonged to Warsaw Voivodeship. The town is located on the Łowicz–Błonie plains. On April 13, 2014, there was a Warsaw Eagles - Angels Toruń exhibition football game.Brwinów is served by the Brwinów Railway Station.

Gmina Brwinów is an urban-rural gmina (administrative district) in Pruszków County, Masovian Voivodeship, in east-central Poland. Its seat is the town of Brwinów, which lies approximately 7 kilometres (4 mi) south-west of Pruszków and 22 km (14 mi) south-west of Warsaw. The gmina covers an area of 69.16 square kilometres (26.7 sq mi), and as of 2006 its total population is 21,531, of which the population of Brwinów is 11,968, and the population of the rural part of the gmina is 9,563.

Podkowa Leśna [pɔtˈkɔva ˈlɛɕna] (literal meaning – "Forest Horseshoe", in full: Miasto-ogród Podkowa Leśna – "Garden-City Podkowa Leśna") is a town in Grodzisk Mazowiecki County, Masovian Voivodeship of Poland and located within the territory of the Młochowskie Forests. Town status – since 1 January 1969. The town also has the status of gmina, meaning "commune". Population – ca. 4000. Founded in 1925. On 1 September 1939 bombs fell on Podkowa Leśna that the Luftwaffe had intended for Warsaw. On 17 January 1945 the Soviets entered Podkowa Leśna. Located in a beautiful setting not far from Warsaw, the town has an interesting collection of villas dating back to the interwar period, along with newly built modern family homes and mansions. Forests surround the city on three sides from the east, south, and north. Peacocks freely wonder around the town. It is considered by some to be "Warsaw's bedroom" given its relaxing, natural environment and close proximity to the capital of Poland, Warsaw. The town was designed in 1925 by Anthony Jawornicki and is based on the principles of the Garden city movement. Its growth was aided by the construction of the Warsaw Commuter Railway in 1927 which has 3 stations located in the town. Due to the town being served by this light railway line, it is easily accessed from central Warsaw. It is historically has attracted residents from the arts, culture and politics and is increasingly popular with wealthy professionals and business people. The town is one of the wealthiest in Poland.

Parzniew [ˈpaʐɲɛf] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Brwinów, within Pruszków County, Masovian Voivodeship, in east-central Poland. It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) east of Brwinów, 3 km (2 mi) south-west of Pruszków, and 18 km (11 mi) south-west of Warsaw. During the Invasion of Poland, on 12 September 1939, around 100 Polish prisoners of war were massacred in Parzniew by the German Wehrmacht.
