Times Beach, Missouri

Route 66 State Park is a public recreation area located on the Meramec River at the site of the former town of Times Beach, Missouri. The state park encompasses 419 acres (170 ha) one mile (1.6 km) east of Eureka.

West Tyson County Park is a county park in the U.S. state of Missouri consisting of 673 acres (2.72 km2) located in St. Louis County east of the town of Eureka. The park is located north of Interstate 44, west of Tyson Research Center, east of Route 66 State Park, and south and east of the Meramec River. West Tyson County Park was originally part of the Tyson Valley Powder Plant during World War II. After the war 210 acres (0.85 km2) were acquired by St. Louis County in 1955. In 1979 an additional 410 acres (1.7 km2) were acquired. The Chubb Trail was developed in 1985. The William Epstein Memorial Prairie creation project was begun in 1988.

Rockwood R-VI School District is a public school district headquartered in Eureka, Missouri, serving students in St. Louis County. The Rockwood School District is St. Louis County's largest public school system, serving 22,268 students.There are nineteen elementary schools, six middle schools, and five high schools in the district, with an average of 19 students per classroom teacher. There are 3,318 staff as of October 2012.Covering 150 square miles (390 km2) in parts of western St. Louis County and northern Jefferson County, Rockwood serves approximately 141,000 residents in over 53,000 households. Eight distinct communities are within Rockwood's boundaries, including all or parts of Ballwin (pop. 30,404), Chesterfield (pop. 47,484), Clarkson Valley (pop. 2,632), Ellisville (pop. 9,133), Eureka (pop. 10,759), Fenton (pop. 4,022), Wildwood (pop. 35,517), and Winchester (pop. 1,547).

Flat Creek is a stream in St. Louis County in the U.S. state of Missouri. It is a tributary of the Meramec River. Flat Creek was so named on account of the flat terrain along its course.

Eureka High School, located in Eureka, Missouri, is a secondary school in the Rockwood School District. Eureka High School was the first high school in what would become the Rockwood School District. The high school opened in 1908 and was fully accredited within four years.

Sherman is an unincorporated community in western St. Louis County, Missouri, United States. It is located on the Meramec River, approximately three miles northeast of Eureka. Sherman formerly had a post office, but mail now comes from Ballwin. Sherman is also a junction and parking area for the Al Foster trail, which is a part of the St Louis County parks department. The Al Foster trail connects the towns of North Eureka and Glencoe to Castlewood State Park and is used for biking, hiking, and accessing the Meramec River.

Hamilton Creek is a stream in St. Louis County in the U.S. state of Missouri. It is a tributary of the Meramec River. Hamilton Creek has the name of Ninan Hamilton, a cattleman.

The Big River is a tributary of the Meramec River in east-central Missouri. The river rises in western Iron County near the summit of Johnson Mountain just north of Missouri Route 32 and approximately 3.5 miles southeast of the community of Enough. It flows through Washington, Saint Francois, and Jefferson counties. It forms part of the boundary between Jefferson and Saint Francois counties and also part of the boundary between Jefferson and Washington counties. It empties into the Meramec River opposite Eureka where the Meramec forms the border between Jefferson and Saint Louis counties. The river flows through Washington State Park, St. Francois State Park, and the Lead Belt mining district. The elevation of the river at its source is approximately 1,300 feet (400 m) above sea level and at its mouth about 400 feet (120 m). The length of the river is approximately 145 miles (233 km), while the airline distance between source and mouth is about 56 miles (90 km). Its watershed area is 955 square miles (2,470 km2). The river flows through or near the communities of Belgrade, Irondale, Park Hills, Bonne Terre, Morse Mill, Cedar Hill, and Byrnes Mill. Tributaries of the Big River include Flat River, Belews Creek, Turkey Creek, Mill Creek, Mineral Fork, Calico Creek, Heads Creek, Terre Bleue Creek, Ditch Creek, and Jones Creek.

Glencoe was an unincorporated community in western St. Louis County, Missouri, United States. It is located on the west side of the Meramec River, north of Eureka in the southern part of Wildwood and is just off Route 109.

Eureka is a city in St. Louis County and Jefferson County, Missouri, adjacent to Wildwood and Pacific. It is in the extreme southwest of the Greater St. Louis metro area. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 11,646. Since 1971, Eureka has been known as the home of the amusement park Six Flags St. Louis.
