Oslo Prison (Norwegian: Oslo fengsel) is the district prison of Oslo, Norway. It is the largest prison in Norway, with a capacity of around 350 detainees. The prison was called Oslo kretsfengsel until 2001. The prison has several departments. Department A is the former Botsfengselet, Grønlandsleiret 41, popularly called "Botsen". Department B is a former brewery located in Åkebergveien 11, popularly called "Bayer'n". Department C, called "Stifinner'n", is located in the former prison hospital at Åkebergveien, and is designated for prisoners with drug problems.

Klosterenga or Klosterenga park is a park in Oslo, located in the transition between Old Town and Grønland. The park route extends up to Galgeberg. It was made as part of a housing project.Klosterenga goes towards a northwest–southeast direction, almost 66 acres (27 ha). It is bordered by the wall around Oslo Prison in the north, Nonnegata and the homes north of Schweigaards gate in the south, Grønlands park – Botsparken in the west and Kjølberggata and Galgeberg in the east. Jarlegata runs through Klosterenga. In the east is a sports field.Hovinbekken previously flowed through the park's area, and this is to be reopened through the park.In 1999, the Klosterenga sculpture park was completed, with sculptures by Bård Breivik, including "Den flerkulturelle plass" with sculptures and a pool at the east end, where there is also a sports field. The sculpture park was refurbished in 2005–2007.In October 2013, traces of medieval settlements were found in the park; it was previously unknown that people should have lived there at that time.

Botsfengselet is a former national prison for long-term prisoners in Oslo, Norway. Its location is at the former Åkebergløkka, Grønlandsleiret 41. The prison was designed by architect Heinrich Ernst Schirmer. The prison was built starting 1844 and came into use from 1851. The prison chapel was designed by architect Jacob Wilhelm Nordan and came into use during 1887. In 1970 Ullersmo Prison took over as a prison for long-term prisoners in Norway, while Botsfengselet was rehabilitated and served as a department of the district prison in Oslo (Norwegian: Oslo Kretsfengsel) from 1975. The prison is listed as a protected site.

Tøyen is a rapid transit station located in the Common Tunnel of Oslo Metro in Norway. Located in the borough of Gamle Oslo, it is also called "Tøyen-Munchmuseet" due to its proximity to the art museum. It is the last station on the east side shared by all lines; the Grorud Line and Ring Line departs from the other four lines at Tøyen. The station has three platforms, on the south side is a platform for all outbound trains. Across the tracks is another for inbound trains coming from Ensjø, and on the other side of this platform is a third one for inbound trains from Carl Berners plass. The station was opened on 22 May 1966 as part of the new metro lines to the eastern boroughs of Oslo. Above the metro station is a shopping centre. Apart from the Munch Museum, there is a park north of the subway station with botanical gardens and paleontological, geological and zoological museums. There is also a railway station, Tøyen Station, that is located on the Gjøvik Line, though this station is located 750 metres (2,460 ft) from the metro station.

Enerhaugen is today a neighborhood in Oslo, Norway which among others includes six apartment buildings on Tøyen in the borough of Gamle Oslo, located north of the neighborhood of Grønland. The site is located on a hill just south of Tøyen manor, and was largely undeveloped in the first half of the 1800s, where it then became a sort of suburb of Oslo. The streets of today's Enerhaugen is Sørligata, Enerhaugggata and Smedgata. The closest subway station is Tøyen. In Enerhauggata 4, St. Hallvard's Church, the largest parish of the Catholic Diocese of Oslo. The church is now protected and had formerly a Franciscan monastery, which is now being converted into apartments for Catholic priests.

St. Hallvard's Church and Monastery (Norwegian: St. Hallvard kirke og kloster) on Enerhaugen in Oslo, Norway, not far from the former medieval St. Hallvard's Cathedral, is the location of the largest current parish of the Catholic Church in Norway. The Catholic parish church for eastern Oslo, it was run by the Franciscans until 1 September 2008.

The Holy Cross Church (Norwegian: Korskirken) was a small medieval parish church for the northern part of the Old Town of Oslo, Norway. The ruin was rediscovered in 1922 and is now a part of Minneparken containing the ruins of the church and the larger St. Hallvard's Cathedral.

Galgeberg (Norwegian pronunciation: [ˈɡɑ̂ɽjəbær(ɡ)] (listen)) is a neighbourhood in the borough of Gamle Oslo in Oslo, Norway. The neighbourhood lies near Vålerenga, Kampen and Gamlebyen. The name stems from the gallows present at the location in earlier times.

Grønland Church (Grønland kirke) is a church located in the neighbourhood of Grønland in the borough of Gamle Oslo in Oslo, Norway. Grønland Church congregation was formed in 1861. Grønland Church was consecrated on March 3, 1869, by Bishop Jens Lauritz Arup. The church is characterized its tall and monumental tower surrounded by four smaller spires. The structure is of brick, in neo-Romanesque architectural style. Its architect was Wilhelm von Hanno. He also designed the school, former fire station and former police station, together with the church as a unified group of buildings in Grønland, a district that recently (1859) had been incorporated into Christiania (now Oslo). Grønland Church originally had 1380 seats, which has since been reduced to approx. 800. The church has an historic organ built by Walcker Orgelbau in 1877. It was moved to Grønland Church in 1934. The organ was restored in 1961 by J. H. Jørgensen Orgelfabrik. The church has undergone several restorations, most recently in 1988.The church owned and operated Vestasol camp at Larkollen off Moss. It hosts social gatherings and meetings, and church members work together in the effort to maintain the camp site.Grønland Church is a heritage site and is registered in the Norwegian Directorate for Cultural Heritage.
