The Men of Kent Cemetery is a historic cemetery on Meetinghouse Lane in Scituate, Massachusetts. The cemetery dates from the earliest days of Scituate's settlement, estimated to have been established in 1628. It is the town's oldest cemetery, containing the graves of some of its original settlers. The 0.75 acres (0.30 ha) cemetery is also the site where the town's first meeting house was built in 1636. The cemetery is so named because Scituate was founded by colonists from the English county of Kent.The cemetery was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.

Williams–Barker House (also known as Barker House) is an historic building on Barker Road in Scituate, Massachusetts. The core of house is believed to date from 1634 when it was constructed by John Williams who had emigrated from England. The construction date of the building has not yet been verified through dendrochronology. The house is believed to have served as a garrison during King Philip's War when it was owned by Captain John Williams and the walls were reinforced with bricks. The thick wooden walls and beams were "once pierced for portholes." The Williams and Barker families occupied the house for seven generations, until it was sold in 1910 and became known as the Hatherly Inn in the early twentieth century. In 1978, the Jordan family purchased and began operating the tavern as the Barker Tavern. The building is now extensively renovated and continues to be operated as an event venue.

Scituate ( ) is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Scituate in Plymouth County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 5,245 at the 2010 census.

Peggotty Beach is located in Scituate, Massachusetts. Peggotty is one of the five public beaches in Scituate and is half a mile long. Peggotty Beach is accessible through Peggotty Beach Road.In 2016, a large storm flooded the beach. After this storm, the sand accumulated on the opposite side of the beach about 15 feet.In 2019, Scituate received a grant to help protect Peggotty Beach shores.

Old Scituate Light also known simply as Scituate Light is a historic lighthouse located on Cedar Point in Scituate, Massachusetts. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987 as Scituate Light.

WNYW (Radio New York Worldwide) was a shortwave radio station that broadcast from Scituate, Massachusetts, in the United States. During WWII the station became important for the British and the Norwegian information services. On October 20, 1973, Family Stations, Inc., acquired the station to be part of its Family Radio network and changed the call letters to WYFR. Family Stations eventually progressively moved the transmitters to their current site in Okeechobee, Florida. The transmitter site in Scituate continued to operate until November 16, 1979 when it was switched off for the last time.

Scituate Proving Ground was a proving ground of the United States Army located in Scituate, Massachusetts. It became operational in 1918, when 115.25 acres were purchased between June and July. In November 1919 the site was declared excess, and it was used as a storing ground until June 1921. During its brief period of operation it was intended to proof fire the production of 155mm and 240mm howitzer carriages that were built elsewhere in Massachusetts. The proving grounds in Scituate did not have the ability to test the projectiles or fuses, so it was used to test cartridge cases, primer and powder. The grounds had its own heating and power plants as well as a garrison of 10 officers and 130 enlisted men. Recently, the site was used for housing, although former structures dating from the use of the grounds could be seen up until 2018, when the Toll Brothers began to develop the site. Toll Brothers plans to build "Seaside at Scituate", which will have 142 townhouses in a condo setting for people 55 years and older when completed.

The Capt. Benjamin James House is a historic First Period house, now a museum, at 301 Driftway in Scituate, Massachusetts. The oldest part of this 2+1⁄2-story timber-frame house was built c. 1700 by Captain Benjamin James. During the 18th century it was enlarged to its present five-bay saltbox configuration. After James' death in 1788, the house was used by the town as a "pest house", isolating smallpox victims there.The house is now home of the Maritime and Irish Mossing Museum, owned and maintained by the Scituate Historical Society. There are exhibits of the mossing industry, ship building on the North River, shipwrecks, life saving. It is open Sunday afternoons, 1–4 p.m. Sept through June. Sat and Sun, July and August. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Greenbush station is an MBTA Commuter Rail station in Scituate, Massachusetts. Located in the Greenbush section of Scituate, it is the terminus of the Greenbush Line.

The First Parish Church of Scituate, Massachusetts, is a historic congregation in Plymouth County, Massachusetts that was founded in 1616 in England. The congregation thus is almost 400 years old. Disagreements over baptism, the belief in the Trinity, and other issues within the church led to three groups splitting off to form new churches during a 60-year period.It has a historic building dating from 1881.Its church is located next to another Scituate landmark, the Lawson Tower.

Old Stockbridge Grist Mill is a historic grist mill on Country Way in Scituate, Massachusetts. It is one of the oldest surviving mills in the United States. Between 1637 and 1640, the First Herring Brook was dammed by Isaac Stedman for creation of a sawmill. In 1650, John Stockbridge built next to the sawmill the surviving grist mill, which was used by the Stockbridge and Clapp families to grind cornmeal for sale until 1922, when the Scituate Historical Society purchased the property. Much of the original mill grinding equipment still survives within the mill.

Lawson Tower is a historic tower built in the style of a European castle turret. It is located off First Parish Road in Scituate Center, Massachusetts, United States. Built in 1902 to enclose a steel water tank, it is a major local landmark. The Scituate Water Company stopped using the tank in 1988. The tower is listed as both an American Water Landmark and in the National Register of Historic Places. It has become a popular tourist site, featuring sweeping views of the South Shore, Old Scituate Light, Minot's Ledge Light and the nearby First Trinitarian Congregational Church.
