Roaring Creek Earth Station is a satellite ground station operated by AT&T and located approximately 4 miles (6.4 km) south of Catawissa, Pennsylvania at 311 Earth Station Rd, Catawissa, PA 17820. The facility includes three 150-foot (46 m) dishes that handle much of the communications between the United States and Europe and the Middle East. According to James Bamford, the National Security Agency uses the facility to capture and monitor satellite telecommunications traveling in and out of the United States.Roaring Creek Station opened in June 1984 under the co-ownership of COMSAT (50 percent), AT&T (47.5 percent), RCA and Western Union (2.5 percent), with COMSAT operating the facility. COMSAT sold its stake in the station and two others to AT&T for $55 million in January 1988.

Lake Glory (also known as Lake Adell Marie or Lake Adele Marie) is a reservoir in Columbia County, Pennsylvania, in the United States. It has a surface area of approximately 5.4 acres (2.2 ha) and is situated in Cleveland Township. The lake is in the vicinity of Roaring Creek, Pennsylvania Route 487, and Pennsylvania Route 42. It was first developed in the 1950s and by the 1970s was a significant recreational area in the region. The reservoir is located near the Lake Glory Campground.

The Furnace Covered Bridge No. 11 is a historic wooden covered bridge located at Cleveland Township in Columbia County, Pennsylvania. It is a 100.9-foot-long (30.8 m), Queen Post Truss bridge with a tarred metal roof, constructed in 1882. It crosses the North Branch of Roaring Creek. It is one of 28 historic covered bridges in Columbia and Montour Counties.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

WCFT-FM (106.5 MHz, "Bigfoot Country") is an American country music formatted radio station licensed to serve Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. The station is owned by Seven Mountains Media, through licensee Southern Belle, LLC, and is operated out of studios in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania. WCFT-FM reaches the northern and eastern area of Bigfoot Country's audience. It operates as Bigfoot Country along with sister stations WRBG and WQBG. Although also owned by Seven Mountains Media, WCFT and its other simulcasting frequencies feature different programming than WIBF and WDBF-FM, which are also branded as Bigfoot Country.

Pennsylvania's 11th congressional district is located in the southeast-central part of the state. It includes all of Lancaster County and portions of York County south and east of but not including the city of York. Republican Lloyd Smucker represents the district. Prior to 2018, the 11th district was located in the east-central part of the state. The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania redrew the district in February 2018 after ruling the previous map unconstitutional, centering it around Pottsville and renumbering it as the ninth district. The new 11th district is essentially the successor to the old 16th District, with representation per the elections of 2018 onward. With the 2020 redictricting cycle, the Pennsylvania district's border between Hanover and York was adjusted to include less land north of Spring Grove and more to the southeast of York, effective with the 2022 elections. Republican Lou Barletta represented the 11th district within its former boundaries from 2011 to 2019, the first Republican to do so in almost 30 years.

Catawissa is a borough in Columbia County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is part of Northeastern Pennsylvania. The population was 1,539 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Bloomsburg-Berwick micropolitan area. Catawissa is twinned with Uxbridge, Ontario. The historic link began in 1805, when the Uxbridge area was granted by the British crown to Dr. Christopher Beswick, first medical doctor north of the Oak Ridges Moraine. While not a Quaker, he lived in Catawissa before moving to the Uxbridge area. Beswick Lane in the Ontario town is named after him.

Catawissa Friends Meetinghouse is a historic Quaker meetinghouse at South and 3rd Streets in Catawissa, Columbia County, Pennsylvania. It was built about 1789, and is a one-story log building on a stone foundation. It measures 30 feet (9.1 m) by 27 feet 6 inches (8.38 m).It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
