Smoky Hollow (also known as The Hollow) is a neighborhood in Youngstown, Ohio. Located northeast of Youngstown's downtown, Smoky Hollow is now part of the campus of Youngstown State University. The district has long been in a state of decline, but plans are now underway to transform Smoky Hollow into a large field built to serve the University.

The Helen Chapel is a historic chapel at the northwest corner of East Wood and Champion Streets in Youngstown, Ohio. It was completed in 1890 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

The Masonic Temple in Youngstown, Ohio is a building from 1909. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.In January, 2016 it was announced that Wick Lodge No. 481 (the last Masonic Lodge to meet in the building) could no longer afford to maintain it, and the building is to be sold.

The Covelli Centre is a multi-purpose arena in Youngstown, Ohio, United States. It opened in 2005, thanks in a large part to a $26 million HUD redevelopment grant secured in 2000 by Congressman James A. Traficant Jr. It is home to the Youngstown Phantoms of the United States Hockey League. The Covelli Centre was previously known as the Chevrolet Centre and is nicknamed "The Chevy Centre" or "The Convo" by some in the area from its former names.

The YWCA Building, located at 25 West Rayen Avenue in Youngstown, Ohio, is an historic building built in 1911 for members of the Young Women's Christian Association. On July 23, 1986, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places. YWCA Mahoning Valley, formerly known as YWCA Youngstown, occupies the building. YWCA Youngstown merged with YWCA Warren on May 1, 2018, to become YWCA Mahoning Valley. YWCA Mahoning Valley also operates a site at 375 North Park Avenue in Warren, Ohio, as well as scattered-site housing in the greater Youngstown area.

Downtown Youngstown is the urban downtown center of Youngstown, Ohio, United States. Located on the north bank of the Mahoning River, Downtown Youngstown is the site of most of the city's government buildings and banks. A number of entertainment venues are also located in downtown, including the Covelli Centre, Powers Auditorium, the DeYor Performing Arts Center, and Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre. In addition, the downtown sits to the immediate south of notable cultural and educational resources, including Youngstown State University, the Butler Institute of American Art, and the McDonough Museum of Contemporary Art.

Youngstown is a city in and county seat of Mahoning County, Ohio, United States. At the 2020 census, it had a population of 60,068, making it the 11th-most populous city in Ohio. It is a principal city of the Youngstown–Warren metropolitan area, which had a population of 430,591 in 2020, making it the seventh-largest metro area in Ohio and 125th-largest metro area in the U.S. Youngstown is situated on the Mahoning River in Northeast Ohio, 58 miles (93 km) southeast of Cleveland and 61 miles (100 km) northwest of Pittsburgh. Youngstown is a midwestern city located at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. The city was named for John Young, an early settler from Whitestown, New York, who established the community's first sawmill and gristmill. It was an early industrial city of the late 19th and early 20th centuries and became known as a center of steel production. With the movement of jobs offshore as the steel industry in the United States fell into decline in the 1970s, the city became exemplary of the Rust Belt. Youngstown has seen a decline in population within city limits of nearly 65 percent since 1960. Downtown Youngstown has seen various revitalization efforts in the 21st century, including the Covelli Centre and Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre. Other notable institutions in the city include the Butler Institute of American Art, Mill Creek Park, Stambaugh Auditorium, and Youngstown State University. Youngstown's first new downtown hotel since 1974—the DoubleTree by Hilton—opened in 2018 in the historic Stambaugh Building, adapted for this use.

Metropolitan Tower is a skyscraper in Youngstown, Ohio. Designed by Morris Scheibel, the building rises to a height of 224 feet (68 m). It has been the tallest building in the city since its completion in 1929, surpassing the Wick Building. It was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Youngstown was a station along the Erie Railroad and later the Erie-Lackawanna Railway, from 1922 to 1977 in Youngstown, Ohio. All railroad tracks behind the terminal have been removed, and the building is currently known as Erie Terminal Place, alternative student housing for students attending Youngstown State University.

The Wick Building, also known as The Wick Tower, is a high rise structure and second tallest building in Youngstown, Ohio. Constructed by D. H. Burnham & Company in 1910, the structure contains 13 floors and rises to a height of 184 feet. It is a classic example of Chicago School architecture, and contains a row of arches at the crown. The Wick Building was the tallest building in the city until the construction of Metropolitan Tower in 1929. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on February 8, 1980.

The Diocese of Youngstown (Latin: Dioecesis Youngstonensis) is a Latin Church ecclesiastical territory, or diocese, of the Catholic Church in northeastern Ohio in the United States. It is a suffragan diocese in the ecclesiastical province of the metropolitan Archdiocese of Cincinnati. The Diocese of Youngstown consists of six counties: Mahoning, Trumbull, Columbiana, Stark, Portage, and Ashtabula. The mother church of the diocese is St. Columba Cathedral in Youngstown.
