Wilshire Private School, previously called the Wilshire School, the Hankook School, and the Los Angeles Hankook Academy, was a primary and secondary school located in Koreatown, Los Angeles. It is in the Mid-City/Mid-Wilshire area. It was sponsored by the Korean Institute of Southern California (KISC, 남가주한국학원/南加州韓國學院). Its primary target students were Korean Americans. In 1994, the principal, John Regan, stated that Hankook School was the only educational facility that targeted Korean students in the United States.On August 2018, the school closed its doors and ceased due to lack of fundings and enrollments. This closure marked Wilshire Elementary School's 33rd year of service.

The E. Clem Wilson Building, also called the Samsung Building, is a 55.64 m (182.5 ft) Art Deco / Art Moderne midrise building at 5225 Wilshire Boulevard at La Brea Avenue in Los Angeles, California. The building is currently managed by VisionQuest Ventures. The building has had multiple different names from signage rights, starting with Mutual of Omaha, then becoming Asahi in the 1990s, and becoming Samsung in the early 2000s. It now remains a blank blue sign.

Wilshire/La Brea is an under-construction heavy-rail subway station in the Los Angeles County Metro Rail system and is slated to open in early 2023. It will be served by the D Line and will be the first station on that line west of Wilshire/Western station.

Campanile was a restaurant co-founded by Mark Peel, Nancy Silverton and Manfred Krankl, which earned acclaim during the 23 years it was in business. Although its theme was Italian, the restaurant was notable for its California cuisine. In 2001, Campanile won the James Beard Foundation award for Outstanding Restaurant.

The La Brea Theatre, also known as Chotiner's La Brea, Fox La Brea, Art La Brea and Toho La Brea was a single-screen movie theater in Los Angeles, California at 857 S. La Brea Avenue. The theatre was notable for being one of the few movie theatres showing Japanese films in the United States after World War II. It was built in the 1920s and had 1,200 seats at opening, and 900 seats after a renovation.The theatre was built initially as part of the "Chotiner's" movie chain. It became part of the Fox theatre chain. It closed in 1954, and re-opened in 1960 as the Art La Brea after a US$70,000 renovation. The 1960 renovation reduced its seating to 640 seats. Later in the 1960s, the theatre was taken over by the Toho company of Japan and used to screen its films and other Japanese films directly, without a distributor. The Toho company also took over cinemas in San Francisco and New York City. The architecture of the building used numerous gothic arches over the doorways and second floor windows. The main lobby's exterior and second floor architecture was reminiscent of a steeple, however it did not have a spire. The building is still standing today, and in fact is used as a church.

Los Angeles High School is the oldest public high school in the Southern California Region and in the Los Angeles Unified School District. Its colors are royal blue and white and the teams are called the Romans. Los Angeles High School is a public secondary high school, enrolling an estimated 2,000 students in grades 9–12. After operating on a year-round basis consisting of three tracks for ten years, it was restored to a traditional calendar in 2010. Los Angeles High School receives accreditation approval from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Concurrent enrollment programs, provided in large by the Los Angeles Unified School District and the Los Angeles Community College District, are offered with West Los Angeles College, Los Angeles Trade–Technical College, Los Angeles City College, or Santa Monica College. Los Angeles High School is a large, urban, inner-city school located in the Mid-Wilshire District of Los Angeles. The attendance boundary consists of a contrasting spectrum of economic diversity ranging from affluent Hancock Park and Lafayette Square to the low-income, densely populated immigrant community of Koreatown. Within the school is a College Incentive Magnet Program. Forty-four percent of the student population is identified as LEP, or Limited English Proficient. Currently, 66% of the students are identified as eligible to receive supplemental instructional services and materials through the Federal Title I Program. The magnet high school has a university preparatory secondary high school program and a "school within a school." First established as a part of student integration services in the 1970s, the Los Angeles High School Math/Science/Technology magnet prepares students with an intensive, rigorous course load in order to better prepare them for university entrance. There are 317 students enrolled in the magnet program, grades 9-12. Typically, the senior class has approximately 50% of seniors entering into four-year universities and schools. The magnet senior class typically has 90% of its senior class entering into four-year colleges and universities.

David Kordansky Gallery is an art gallery established in Los Angeles's Chinatown neighborhood in 2003.

Memorial Branch is a branch library of the Los Angeles Public Library. It was built in 1930 based on a Gothic Revival design by architect John C. Austin, also noted as the lead architect of the Griffith Observatory and the Hollywood Masonic Temple. The library includes a large heraldic work of stained glass created by the artists at Judson Studios. In 1987, the Memorial Branch and several other branch libraries in Los Angeles were added to the National Register of Historic Places as part of a thematic group submission. The application noted that the branch libraries had been constructed in a variety of period revival styles to house the initial branch library system of the City of Los Angeles. In the movie, Bedtime Stories, starring Adam Sandler, this library serves as the children's elementary school. The Library underwent a major restoration in the mid-1990s, reopening in 1996. The library relocated to office space near John Burroughs Middle School in the interim.

The Dominguez–Wilshire Building is located at 5410 Wilshire Boulevard in the Miracle Mile district of Los Angeles, an Art Deco landmark. The property was named after its developers, the Dominguez family, the heirs to the first land grant given in California by King Carlos III of Spain. The project architects were Morgan, Walls & Clements.

Girls Academic Leadership Academy: Dr. Michelle King School for STEM (GALA) is a public grade 6–12 all girls' school in Mid-City, Los Angeles. It is a part of the Los Angeles Unified School District. Mathematics and science are specialty fields of the school.
