The Edgar Wood Centre is a former Church of Christ, Scientist building in Victoria Park, Manchester, England. The church was designed by Edgar Wood in 1903. Nikolaus Pevsner considered it "the only religious building in Lancashire that would be indispensable in a survey of twentieth century church design in all England." It is a Grade I listed building and has been on the Heritage at Risk Register published by Historic England.

Victoria Park is a suburban area of Manchester, England. Victoria Park lies approximately two miles south of Manchester city centre, between Rusholme and Longsight.

The Rampant Lion (now trading as the Milverton Hotel) is a Grade II listed former public house on Anson Road in Victoria Park, a suburban area of Manchester, England. Built in the mid to late 19th century as a private villa named Milverton Lodge in the Gothic style, it later had a variety of uses, including as a private hotel in the 1960s, a nightclub during the 1970s, and a pub from the 1980s. The pub closed in 2013, and the building was adapted for hotel use in 2017.

Saint Chrysostom's Church is the Anglican parish church in Victoria Park, Manchester, England. The church is of the Anglo-Catholic tradition, and also has a strong tradition of being inclusive and welcoming. The church's patron saint is Saint John Chrysostom. It is one of three working churches dedicated in honour of St John Chrysostom in the Church of England; the others are in Liverpool and Peckham, S. London. The church is in the Deanery of Ardwick within the Archdeaconry of Manchester, the Diocese of Manchester and Province of York.

Dalton-Ellis Hall is a hall of residence complex at the University of Manchester in Manchester, England. It is situated in the south of the city on Conyngham Road in Victoria Park, next to St Chrysostom's Church. It is close to Wilmslow Road in Rusholme. Dalton-Ellis has 279 male and female residents in catered accommodation. The hall admits both undergraduate and postgraduate students, most are undergraduate first years. The complex comprises several residential blocks built at various stages. They include the Grade II listed Main Hall, the first purpose-built hall of residence in England, opened in 1882, the Nield Wing extension to Main Hall, Fiddes, Graham, Ewings, and Sutherland built in 1994. Dalton-Ellis Hall has a second Grade II listed block, Eaglesfield, which is not currently in use. Sunnyside houses the complex's library and music rooms and other facilities include a squash court, tennis courts, croquet lawn, and a bar. There is a computer cluster and a reading room. The hall also has a history of sporting success fielding rugby, hockey, netball, cricket, football and croquet teams.

Manchester Central Mosque and Islamic Cultural Centre (also known as “Victoria Park Mosque”) is a mosque in Manchester, England. Sometimes referred to as Jamia Mosque, it is situated in the middle of Victoria Park, Manchester close to the Curry Mile. It plays a key role in Manchester's Muslim community. Imam and Khateeb Muhammad Arshad Misbahi and Qari Hafiz Javed Akhtar are leaders of the mosque. Qari Javed also leads taraweeh prayers in Ramadan.The Victoria Park Mosque began as two adjacent houses, one owned by the Syrian Textile Merchants operating in Manchester since the early 1900s, and the other owned by the mainly Indian community living in the nearby areas of Rusholme and Longsight.In 1971, the Jamiat-ul-Muslimeen, Manchester, commenced work on a purpose-built mosque in Victoria Park and the two houses were demolished and the "new look" Mosque took its current form. Several expansions and modifications have taken place over the years.This mosque acts according to the teachings of the Barelwi sect of the Indian Subcontinent.Mohammed Amin, a Retired Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers, currently sits on the Mosque committee.

84 Plymouth Grove, now known as Elizabeth Gaskell's House, is a writer's house museum in Manchester. The Grade II* listed neoclassical villa was the residence of William and Elizabeth Gaskell from 1850 till their deaths in 1884 and 1865 respectively. The Gaskell household continued to occupy the villa after the deaths of Elizabeth and William. The death of Elizabeth Gaskell's daughter, Margaret Emily "Meta" Gaskell, in 1913, brought to an end the Gaskells' residence there. The house itself was granted listed building status in 1952, partly due to its association with the Gaskells. This granted it protection from demolition, however, 84 Plymouth Grove slowly descended into a state of disrepair due to neglect. The Manchester Historic Buildings Trust commenced a restoration project in 2009, aiming to see 84 Plymouth Grove returned to its state as the Gaskells left it. By 2011, the Trust had finished the exterior, which included structural repairs and removing the pink paint that had coated the house for various years. However, in May 2011 their project was marred by the theft of the lead roof, which caused "extensive damage" according to the BBC. On completion of the £2.5m restoration, the building was reopened to the public on 5 October 2014.

Greygarth Hall is a catered inter-university hall of residence for men, situated in Victoria Park, south Manchester, England. It is one of the halls on the "Rusholme campus" within 3 minutes walk of the famous Curry Mile. Greygarth Hall was founded in 1961, and in 2010-11 was extensively refurbished. The hall is a grade II listed building and was a University of Manchester Licensed Hall from 1965 until the university abolished the 'licensed' state in the early 2000s. Greygarth is a voluntary organization run by residents of Greygarth Hall University Residence, which is promoted by the Greygarth Association, a registered charity working for the advancement of education in the light of Christian principles. Among the various activities that take place at Greygarth, those of a spiritual nature are entrusted to Opus Dei, a personal Prelature of the Catholic Church.

Chorlton-on-Medlock is an inner city area of Manchester, England. Historically in Lancashire, Chorlton-on-Medlock is bordered to the north by the River Medlock, which runs immediately south of Manchester city centre. Its other borders roughly correspond to Stockport Road, Hathersage Road, Moss Lane East and Boundary Lane. Neighbouring districts are Hulme to the west, Ardwick to the east and Victoria Park, Rusholme and Moss Side to the south. A large portion of the district along Oxford Road is occupied by the campuses of the University of Manchester, Manchester Metropolitan University, and the Royal Northern College of Music. To the south of the university's Oxford Road campus a considerable area is occupied by a group of contiguous hospitals including Manchester Royal Infirmary, to the west of which is Whitworth Park.

The International 2 was a live music venue located at Plymouth Grove in Manchester, England. It existed at the same time as The Haçienda and other clubs in the late 1980s that were gaining in popularity. Gareth Evans owned the nightclub and was also the manager of The Stone Roses who also frequented the club. A partial list of artists who appeared at the Internationals 2 can be found at Songkick. The International 2 was notable as being the live music component of the Manchester music scene and being the base for The Stone Roses who were credited as producing one of the finest British albums of all time. This was written whilst they were part of the scene at the International 2. The nightclub is featured in the first seconds of a Stone Roses promotional video for their single "Sally Cinnamon". The story of the International 2 is documented as part of the Blood on the Turntables series. The International 2 was co-owned by Matthew Cummings, and he was also the co-manager of The Stone Roses. The International 2 was sold to Manchester businessman and nightclub owner Paul Coombes in the summer of 1990 and he promoted all the shows up to the closure of the venue in the summer of 1992 after which he sold the site on for redevelopment The International 2 building was demolished and replaced by a gated apartment building complex.

Holy Trinity Armenian Church is an Armenian Apostolic Church in the Chorlton-on-Medlock area of Manchester, England and a Grade II listed building. Consecrated in 1870, it is the oldest purpose-built Armenian Church in Western Europe.
