Oakhanger Halt is a former railway station, on the Longmoor Military Railway which served Bordon Camp, the station was closer to the camp than Bordon on the Bordon Light Railway. The station is likely to have opened with the line in 1905 but the first documented evidence showing it open is on 14 August 1914 when it was used the Officer Commanding Railway Troops to say goodbye to the first mobilised Railway Company departing for France.The station was situated immediately to the north of the ungated level crossing over Oakenhanger Road. The line through the halt was built as a single track, was doubled during WWII and singled after the war as doubled ungated level crossings were then no longer permitted. The station had one platform, with no facilities, to the west of the running lines. There was a block post, the Army's name for a signal box, between the road and the start of the platform.At the opposite end of the platform there was a junction with lines going Louisburg Barracks and a set of sidings.The station was closed along with the rest of the line on 31 October 1969.

Hogmoor Inclosure is a large area of wooded heath situated 0.5 miles (0.80 km) west from the town of Bordon and within the civil parish of Whitehill in the East Hampshire district of Hampshire, England. The inclosure is used for army training with various tank crossings scattered around the area. The area is historically notable for its connection with the British Army with large barracks surrounding the area. The inclosure was first scouted in 1896 by the Highland Light Infantry with camps being built in the area in 1903.

Pinewood, Hampshire

Pinewood or Pinewood Village is an area in Bordon, in the English county of Hampshire. Located in the north of the town, administratively it is in the parish of Whitehill, and the Whitehill Pinewood ward of East Hampshire district. Development of the area started in 1987 on the site of former married quarters at Bordon Camp that from 1970 had been leased for use as council housing and later purchased by the district council. The nearest railway station is Liphook, 4.4 miles (6.5 km) southeast of the village.

Bordon

Bordon is a town in the East Hampshire district of Hampshire, England. It lies in the interior of the royal Woolmer Forest, about 5 miles (8.0 km) southeast of Alton. The town forms a part of the civil parish of Whitehill which is one of two contiguous villages, the other being Lindford. The civil parish is on the A325, and near the A3 road between London and Portsmouth, from which it is buffered by the rise of the wooded Woolmer Ranges. Bordon is twinned with Condé-sur-Vire in Normandy, France. Unlike its nearest towns, Petersfield, Farnham and Alton, Bordon has not been a market town, having developed as a military area. Many of the facilities are near the former A325, a toll road (turnpike) that connected Farnham to the A3 to its south and passed though Bordon and Whitehill; the A325 now by-passes the built-up area. Local facilities include The Phoenix Theatre and Whitehill and Bordon Leisure Centre.

Kingsley Stream

Kingsley Stream is a tributary of the River Slea that lies in Hampshire, England. It joins the Oakhanger Stream by Kingsley Mill, south of the village. It is regarded by the Environment Agency as the headwaters of the Slea.

RAF Oakhanger

RAF Oakhanger is a Royal Air Force station in Hampshire split over three operational sites; with accommodation in nearby Bordon. The main site and operations centre is located near the village of Oakhanger, the two other sites being nearby. The parent station for administrative purposes was RAF Odiham.

Kingsley is a village in the East Hampshire district of Hampshire, England. It is 2.1 miles (3.4 km) north of Bordon, on the B3004 road. The village has a community centre and an inn, the Cricketers. The Victorian parish church of All Saints Is a Grade II listed building.The nearest main railway station is Alton, 4.2 miles (6.7 km) west of the village, although Bentley station is within a similar distance to the north. The village was formerly served by Kingsley Halt on the Bentley to Bordon branch line. The parish includes Kingsley Common.

Kingsley Common is a 41-hectare (100-acre) protected area in Kingsley, Hampshire, England. The site holds many rare species of animals and birds. Some species of plants and animals may also be subject to special protection under Part I of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, or under the Habitats Regulations 1994.

Shortheath Common

Shortheath Common is a 59.5-hectare (147-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest east of Bordon in Hampshire. It is also a Local Nature Reserve and a Special Area of Conservation.The common has areas of bracken, woodland, heath and a pond, but its main ecological interest is a large valley mire. Much of it is covered by Sphagnum mosses, but there are also many vascular plants, such as velvet bent and the insectivorous round-leaved sundew. The invertebrates are also of particular interest, including 23 breeding species of dragonfly.
