The Gate of Thriving Imperial Clan (simplified Chinese: 隆宗门; traditional Chinese: 隆宗門; Manchu: ᠯᡠᠩ ᡯᡠᠩ ᠮᡝᠨ lung dzung men) is a gate in Beijing's Forbidden City, in China. It is located just southwest of the Gate of Heavenly Purity.

The Gate of Heavenly Purity (simplified Chinese: 乾清门; traditional Chinese: 乾清門; Manchu: ᡴᡳᠶᠠᠨᠴᡳᠩᠮᡝᠨ kiyan cing men) is the main gate of the Inner Court of the Forbidden City, in Beijing, China. The gate once led people to Forbidden City's residential quarters. It is connected to the Palace of Heavenly Purity, and near the Gate of Thriving Imperial Clan. Two gilded Chinese lion sculptures are installed outside the gate.

The Belvedere of Spreading Righteousness (simplified Chinese: 弘义阁; traditional Chinese: 弘義閣; Manchu: ᠵᡠᡵᡤᠠᠨ ᠪᡝ ᠰᡝᠯᡤᡳᠶᡝᡵᡝ ᠠᠰᠠᡵᡳ jurgan be selgiyere asari) is a building in Forbidden City's Outer Court, in Beijing, China.

The Palace of Prolonging Happiness (simplified Chinese: 延禧宫; traditional Chinese: 延禧宮), or Yanxi Palace, is one of the Eastern Six Palaces in the inner court of the Forbidden City, situated behind the Hall for Ancestral Worship. Described as one of the most 'exotic' looking structures in the Forbidden City, the Palace of Prolonging Happiness was built in 1420 as the Palace of Longevity. From the Ming to the Qing dynasty, the palace was home to many imperial consorts and concubines. The palace was later destroyed by multiple fires between 1845 and 1855. The Empress Dowager Longyu ordered the palace to be rebuilt in 1909 with a new three-storey Western-style building included. Known as the 'Crystal Palace' (水晶宮) or Lingzhao Pavilion, the building was surrounded by a moat that was supposed to be filled with spring water from the Jade Source Mountain near Beijing. However, lack of funding and damage from a bombing raid in 1917 prevented the completion of the structure. Today, only the iron cast and marbles remain. In 1931, three two-storey warehouses were added to house the Palace Museum's artifacts. Since 2005, the warehouses have been used for the Ceramics Laboratory, the Research Centre for Ceramics, and the Research Centre for Traditional Calligraphy and Paintings.

Imperial City Wall Relics Park (also translated as Huangchenggen Relics Park and Imperial Palace Wall Relics Park) is a garden near Forbidden City and Wangfujing in Beijing, China.

The Gate of Glorious Harmony (simplified Chinese: 熙和门; traditional Chinese: 熙和門; Manchu: ᡳᠵᡳᠰᡥᡡᠨ ᡥᡡᠸᠠᠯᡳᠶᠠᠮᠪᡠᡵᡝ ᡩᡠᡴᠠ ijishūn hūwaliyambure duka), or the Gate of Xihe, Xihemen is a gate sits on the central road of the outer court of the Forbidden Palace. It is on the outer side of the Gate of Supreme Harmony, and eastern to the Gate of Blending Harmony It was first built on the 18th year of Yongle (1420) and was named Gate of Right Obedience. The current building is built on the 23rd year of Qianlong (1758).

The Hall of Literary Brilliance (simplified Chinese: 文华殿; traditional Chinese: 文華殿; pinyin: Wénhuá diàn), or the Hall of Literary Glory or Wenhua Hall, is a hall in the outer court of the Forbidden City, located far east of the Hall of Supreme Harmony. In the early Ming Dynasty, the hall was originally used as the residence of the heir apparent. However, starting in 1536, Ming emperors began to use the building as a secondary hall. During both the Ming and Qing Dynasty, the hall hosted grand imperial lectures on Confucian classics and served as a place for the emperor to meet his scholars and officials. The hall was also where palace examinations papers would be reviewed and marked by nine readers who would be sequestered in the hall for two days. The hall gave its name to one of the seven different titles of grand secretary in late-imperial China. Becoming Grand Secretary of Wenhua Hall was considered to be an especially prestigious honour for high-ranking mandarins.From 2008 to 2017, the hall served as the location of the Palace Museum's ceramics gallery before it was moved to the Hall of Martial Valor.

The zuihuai (Chinese: 罪槐; pinyin: Zuìhuái; lit. 'guilty pagoda tree') is a specimen of the pagoda tree (Styphnolobium japonicum) located in Jingshan Park, Beijing, China. It is a tourist attraction and national landmark in Jingshan Park. The Chongzhen Emperor Zhu Youjian, the last ruler of the Ming dynasty, allegedly hanged himself from the tree in 1644 after the imperial capital, Beijing, fell to rebel forces led by Li Zicheng. Eventually the Ming was destroyed, Li Zhicheng's forces were defeated, and the Qing dynasty was established in China.The original tree has been replaced numerous times. The current tree is a 150 year old replacement, replanted in 1996.

The Gate of Blending Harmony (Chinese: 协和门), or the Gate of Xiehe, Xiehemen, is a gate sits on the central road of the outer court of the Forbidden City, outside of the Gate of Supreme Harmony. On the eastern and opposite of the road to the Gate of Glorious Harmony. It was first built in the 18th year of Yongle and named the Gate of Left Obedience. The current one is re-built in the early years of Shunzhi and named so.

The department is also one of the main entities that enforces media censorship and control in the People's Republic of China.It was founded in May 1924, and was suspended during the Cultural Revolution, until it was restored in October 1977. In 2018, the newly created National Radio and Television Administration was put under its control. The department is a key organ in the CCP's propaganda system, and its inner operations are highly secretive.

The Hall of Union (Chinese: 交泰殿; pinyin: Jiāo Tài Diàn; Manchu: ᡤᡳᠶᠣᠣ ᡨᠠᡳ ᡩᡳᠶᠠᠨ giyoo tai diyan) is a building in the Forbidden City, in Beijing, China. It stands between the Palace of Heavenly Purity and the Palace of Earthly Tranquility. These three halls together constitute the centre of the Inner Court of the palace complex. The hall is square in shape with a pyramidal roof. Stored here are the 25 Imperial Seals of the Qing dynasty, as well as other ceremonial items, including the clocks that set the official time in the palace (first a water clock, later a mechanical clock, both still displayed in the hall.
