Ballymaloe Cookery School

Russell Rovers is a Gaelic football and hurling club based in the village of Shanagarry, County Cork, Ireland. The club draws its support from Churchtown South, Ballycotton, Garryvoe and Shanagarry itself. It competes in competitions organised by Cork county board and the Imokilly divisional board.

Garryvoe (Irish: Garraí Bhoithe) is a civil parish in the historical barony of Imokilly in County Cork, Ireland. The civil parish is centred on a small settlement, also referred to as Garryvoe, which lies on the R632 regional road between Ladysbridge, and Shanagarry and fronts onto Garryvoe Beach. Evidence of ancient settlement in the area includes a number of ringfort, fulacht fiadh and enclosure sites in the townlands of Garryvoe Lower, Garryvoe Upper and Ballybutler. Garryvoe Castle, a ruined tower house in the townland of Garryvoe Lower, is sometimes associated with the Anglo-Norman Carew family. A ruined medieval church and graveyard is located nearby. While previously classified as a Blue Flag beach, as of 2020 the beach at Garryvoe was classified as an "identified bathing water" area of "sufficient" quality. The TikTok personality and radio presenter, Miriam Mullins, is from the area.

Ladysbridge (Irish: Droichead na Scuab), known for census purposes as Knockglass (Irish: An Cnoc Glas), is a village in County Cork, Ireland. As of the 2016 census, the area had a population of 658 people.The village of Ladysbridge lies at the junction of the R632 and R633 regional roads, approximately 1.5 kilometres (0.93 mi) south of Castlemartyr. Ladysbridge, sometimes spelled Lady's Bridge, is also connected to Castlemartyr via a way-marked nature trail. This walking route crosses the nearby Womanagh River on a pedestrian bridge.Ightermurragh Castle is a 17th-century fortified house which is located on the south bank of the Womanagh River approximately 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) east of Ladysbridge village. Within the village itself, a number of buildings date from the 19th century, including the former national school (dated 1891) and Ladysbridge Roman Catholic church (dated to c.1820). This church, which is dedicated to Saint Mary, is in the parish of Ballymacoda and Ladysbridge and the Roman Catholic Diocese of Cloyne. The local GAA club, Fr. O'Neill's GAA, represents the same parish area.A monument in the centre of the village commemorates the Manchester Martyrs, one of whom was from the Ladysbridge area.

Ballycotton (Irish: Baile Choitín) is a coastal village in County Cork, Ireland, situated about 25 miles (40 km) east of Cork city. It is a fishing village that sits on a rocky ledge overlooking Ballycotton Bay and has a sandy beach that stretches for about 25 kilometres (16 mi) east to Knockadoon Head. The current village is actually a re-settlement of an older village which is now entirely underwater. Ballycotton experiences severe coastal erosion with metres of land crumbling into the sea every few years. It is a site of international research interest on coastal erosion.

Ballycotton Lifeboat Station is the base for Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) lifeboat at Ballycotton in County Cork, Ireland. It opened in 1858 and continues to operate today. Its most notable rescue was the crew of the Daunt Rock lightship in 1936 which kept the crew at sea for the best part of three days.

The Yeats Room of Ballymaloe House (ba-lee-ma-LOO) is a restaurant located in Shanagarry in County Cork, Ireland. It is a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star for each year in the period 1975–1980. The Michelin Guide awarded the restaurant the "Red M", indicating 'good food at a reasonable price', in the period 1981–1994. The Egon Ronay Guide awarded the restaurant one star in the periods 1975–1981, 1983-1984 and 1987–1988.The kitchen style of Ballymaloe House is Modern Irish. In 1964 the Allen family, who had purchased the Ballymaloe estate, converted the old dining room into a restaurant. They named the restaurant The Yeats Room. In 1967 the first few rooms were converted into hotel rooms, to accommodate guests who liked to stay. Later still the Ballymaloe Cookery School was established. In the time Ballymaloe House was awarded the Michelin star, Myrtle Allen was the head chef. Dervilla O'Flynn is currently head chef. Dervilla is married to Myrtle Allen's Grandson Sacha Whelan.

Castlemartyr (Irish: Baile na Martra, formerly anglicised as Ballymarter or Ballymartyr) is a large village in County Cork, Ireland. It is around 30 kilometres (19 mi) east of Cork city, 10 km (6 mi) east of Midleton, 16 km (10 mi) west of Youghal and 6 km (4 mi) from the coast. Approximately 1,600 people live in the village and its hinterland. It is situated on the N25 national primary road and the R632 regional road. It is home to a number of community and sporting organisations, a 15th-century tower house (Castlemartyr Castle, now a ruin), and an 18th-century country house (Castlemartyr House, now a hotel).

The R629 road is a regional road in southeast County Cork, Ireland. It travels from the R630 road at Ballinacurra's grotto, southeastwards through Kearney's Cross and Cloyne (where it turns eastwards), past Ballymaloe House and Shanagarry, into Ballycotton. The statutary definition gives it as beginning at the R907 in Midleton, but all maps and other material assign the Midleton–Ballinacurra stretch to the R630 instead.

Mogeely railway station served the village of Mogeely in County Cork, Ireland.

Mogeely (Irish: Maigh Dhíle) is a village located in County Cork, Ireland. As of the 2016 census, it had a population of 389 people.Mogeely lies in East Cork, approximately 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) north of Castlemartyr off the N25 national primary road. Mogeely railway station was, until it closed in the 1970s, a stop on the Cork to Youghal railway line. The nearest train station is now Midleton railway station. Located within a largely rural area, Mogeely hosted the National Ploughing Championships in 2005. Local employers include the Dairygold Co-Operative Society, which operates two cheese processing plants in the area.The Pine family, originally English, were the main landowners here from the 1580s to the early 1700s. Henry Pine was granted Mogeely under Queen Elizabeth I, holding it as a tenant of Sir Walter Raleigh. During the serious disturbances in Munster in 1598, he fled back to England, but later returned to Mogeely. His grandson, Sir Richard Pyne, was Lord Chief Justice of Ireland from 1695 to 1709. Their home, Mogeely Castle, no longer exists.

Cloyne GAA club is located in the small town of Cloyne in County Cork, Ireland. The club plays in the Imokilly division of Cork GAA. Founded in 1887 they have yet to win a Cork Senior Hurling Championship title and have the dubious distinction of losing in 3 successive finals (2004, 2005 and 2006). Christy Ring, one of the clubs most famous players, played for the team before moving to play for Glen Rovers in 1941. He was sometimes known as The Wizard of Cloyne and a statue commemorating him stands in the centre of the town.

Killeagh GAA club is a hurling and Gaelic football club located in the small village of Killeagh in east County Cork, Ireland. The club is affiliated with the East Cork division of Imokilly and the Cork county board. It is the sister club of Glenbower Rovers GAA and St.Ita's GAA.
