The American Vegan Society (AVS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that promotes veganism in the United States. It was founded in 1960 by H. Jay Dinshah. The date of the earlier The Vegan Society (UK)'s founding, November 1, is now celebrated annually as World Vegan Day.

Franklin Township is a township in Gloucester County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 16,380, a decrease of 440 (−2.6%) from the 2010 census count of 16,820, which in turn reflected an increase of 1,354 (+8.8%) from the 15,466 counted in the 2000 census.Franklin Township was formed as a township by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on January 27, 1820, from portions of Greenwich Township and Woolwich Township. Parts of the township have been taken to form Clayton Township (February 5, 1858) and Newfield (March 8, 1924). The township was named for Benjamin Franklin.

Newfield is a borough in Gloucester County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the borough's population was 1,774, an increase of 221 (+14.2%) from the 2010 census count of 1,553, which in turn reflected a decline of 63 (−3.9%) from the 1,616 counted in the 2000 census.Newfield was formed as a borough by the New Jersey Legislature on March 8, 1924, from portions of Franklin Township, based on the results of a referendum held on April 1, 1924. In the weeks before the legislature approved the formation of the borough, a group of 240 residents traveled to Trenton by train to lobby on behalf of the creation of an independent municipality. The borough's name derives from its status as a new-field development.

Delsea Regional High School is a four-year comprehensive regional public high school that serves students in ninth through twelfth grade from Elk Township (feeding into Delsea from Aura Elementary School, which serves grades PreK-6) and Franklin Township (from Caroline L. Reutter, which serves grades 5–6), in Gloucester County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, operating as part of the Delsea Regional School District. Students from Newfield attend the district's schools as part of a sending/receiving relationship begun in September 2010 after Newfield began a process to end its prior relationship with the Buena Regional School District. The school district gets its name from its location just off Delsea Drive, which runs from Westville on the Delaware River to Wildwood on the Jersey shore, hence the name Del-Sea. As of the 2022–23 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,074 students and 87.2 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 12.3:1. There were 173 students (16.1% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 36 (3.4% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

Coda Rossa Winery is a winery in the Franklinville section of Franklin Township in Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States. The vineyard was first planted in 2002. The current owners obtained the property and winery in 2021, and previously Coda Rossa opened to the public in 2010. Coda Rossa has 10 acres of grapes under cultivation, and produces 1,500 cases of wine per year. The winery is named for the Italian words coda rossa which mean "red tail," because of the red-tailed hawks that live near the farm.

Franklinville is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located within Franklin Township in Gloucester County, in the Philadelphia Metropolitan Area in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The area is served as United States Postal Service ZIP Code 08322. As of the 2010 United States Census, the population for ZIP Code Tabulation Area 08322 was 10,524.The Franklinville area of Franklin Township serves as the town center that mixes historic buildings with modern conveniences and stores. A mix of merchants exist in the town center along with the Franklinville Volunteer Fire Company, Franklin Township Community Center and The Franklinville Inn, Franklinville Lake and the historic Franklinville train station. Franklinville was formerly named "Little Ease."A five-way junction between New Jersey Route 47, County Route 538 and County Route 613 in the center of Franklinville provides access to Williamstown, Glassboro and Vineland.

Our Lady of Mercy Academy (OLMA) is a college preparatory, all-girls Catholic high school founded in 1962 by the Daughters of Our Lady of Mercy in Franklin Township, Gloucester County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. Despite its location in Franklin Township, the school has a Newfield mailing address. The school is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools.Operated under the auspices of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Camden, the first class, consisting of 23 students, graduated in June 1965. Its first principal was Sister M. Dolores. The first faculty members were Sisters Gertrude, Dominica, and Matthew Marie; now, most of the faculty is lay. As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 232 students and 23.9 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 9.7:1. Schools in the district (with 2018–19 enrollment data from the National Center for Education Statistics) are Delsea Regional Middle School with 563 students in grades 7 and 8, and Delsea Regional High School with 1,047 students in grades 9 - 12.The New Jersey Department of Education has considered a vote by the Franklin Township Board of Education in June 2010 requesting that the district withdraw from the Delsea Regional School District, which would require that the Delsea region be dissolved as about 80% of the regional district's students come from Franklin. With the withdrawal of Franklin Township, two options being considered were to either have Franklin and Elk Townships create a new regional district with Newfield students attending on a send-receive basis, or having Franklin Township establish its own PreK-12 district which would receive students from both Elk Township and Newfield.

The community of Brotmanville was originally a Jewish settlement and is currently a predominantly African-American neighborhood.

Centreville Township was a township that existed from 1822 to 1829 in Salem County, New Jersey, United States. The township was incorporated by an Act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 4, 1822, from portions of Pittsgrove Township. Just short of its seventh anniversary, the township was dissolved and its territory restored to Pittsgrove Township from whence it came.

The Alliance Colony was a Jewish agricultural community that was founded on May 10, 1882, in Pittsgrove Township, in Salem County, New Jersey, United States. It was named after the Alliance Israélite Universelle of Paris and was funded by the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society of New York and Philadelphia and The Baron De Hirsch Fund.
