WLOB

The Loring House Apartments are a senior housing complex at 1125 Brighton Avenue in Portland, Maine. They occupy the buildings of the Portland City Hospital, built in 1902-04 as the city's poor house. The complex was designed by the prominent local firm of F. H. & E. F. Fassett, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

WYNZ (100.9 FM, "Whoopie 100.9"), is a commercial radio station licensed to South Portland, Maine, and serving the Portland metropolitan area. It is owned by Saga Communications and airs an adult hits radio format. The studios and offices are on Western Avenue in South Portland.WYNZ has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 25,000 watts, but from a tower at only 93 meters (305 ft) in height above average terrain (HAAT), limiting its coverage area. That contrasts with other Portland stations such as WBLM and WFNK that have taller towers and are powered at 100,000 watts. WYNZ's transmitter is behind the studios in South Portland, near the Maine Turnpike.

The Warren Block is a historic commercial building at Cumberland and Main Streets in Westbrook, Maine, United States. Built in 1882 to a design by John Calvin Stevens, it is a sophisticated example of commercial Queen Anne architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

The Nathan Harris House is an historic house at 425 Main Street in Westbrook, Maine. Built about 1830, it is a well-preserved example of Federal period architecture, most notable for the murals painted on some of its walls in the 1830s. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993. The house is now used as a professional office.

The S. D. Warren Paper Mill is a paper mill on the Presumpscot River in Westbrook, Maine. It is now owned by SAPPI Limited, a South African paper concern. It is one of Westbrook's major employers. The mill complex and former worker and management housing associated with the mill's operation in the 19th century were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974 as the Cumberland Mills Historic District.

WGAN (560 AM) is an commercial radio station licensed to Portland, Maine. The station is owned by Saga Communications and it airs a news/talk radio format. The station calls itself "Newsradio WGAN AM 560 and FM 98.5" The studios and offices are on Western Avenue in South Portland, Maine. The station is also heard on a 250-watt FM translator, 98.5 W253DA, which allows listeners who prefer FM radio to hear WGAN in Portland and its close suburbs. In addition, WGAN is heard on the HD2 channel of co-owned 93.1 WMGX. AM 560 broadcasts with 5,000 watts around the clock, covering much of Southern Maine and along the Maine Coast up to Rockland. The transmitter is near the Maine Turnpike off Warren Avenue in Portland. WGAN is Maine's primary entry point station for the Emergency Alert System.

Woodlawn Cemetery is a publicly-owned cemetery in Westbrook, Maine, U.S. It was established in 1885. In 1933-34, Woodlawn was significantly improved by a make-work project by the Civil Works Administration. Three miles of avenues were given a coat of gravel among other improvements. It is the only cemetery in the city which offers winter burials.

Westbrook is a city in Cumberland County, Maine, United States and a suburb of Portland. The population was 20,400 at the 2020 census, making it the fastest-growing city in Maine between 2010 and 2020. It is part of the Portland–South Portland–Biddeford, Maine metropolitan statistical area.

The F.O.J. Smith Tomb is an historic tomb in Evergreen Cemetery in Portland, Maine. It is the tomb of Francis Ormand Jonathan Smith (1806–76), US Congressman 1833-39. It was probably built by Smith in 1860, at the time of his daughter Lizzie's death, and is one of Maine's most sophisticated expressions of Egyptian Revival architecture. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

Breakwater School is an independent, non-denominational, co-educational school in Portland, Maine. The school currently enrolls up to 180 students from toddler through eighth grade. The sixth through eighth grade program is experiential and integrative, consisting of a series of 6 to 7 week projects completed over the course of the school year. Breakwater was founded as a day care center, named Playtime Haven, by Frank and El Costa in 1956 after their son recovered from a serious illness. As it grew, it moved to a series of different locations in South Portland and Cape Elizabeth, until 1982 when it purchased its current location in Portland. Since then, the school has also been given a 21-acre nature preserve in nearby Cumberland which it uses regularly for field trips as part of the school's Science curriculum. The Executive Director is David Sullivan, previously a Teaching Principal at the Brooklin School in Brooklin, Maine, and the Academic Director is Maggie Lyon.

Westbrook High School (WHS) is a public high school in Westbrook, Maine, United States. The school serves grades 9 through 12, and usually enrolls between 600 and 800 students each year. It is part of the Westbrook School Department. The school competes in the Southern Maine Athletics Association (SMAA) and Class A athletics, as governed by the Maine Principals' Association. The school mascot is the "Blue Blazes".
