Ulysses Philomathic Library

First Presbyterian Church of Ulysses is a historic Presbyterian church located at Trumansburg in Tompkins County, New York. It is an imposing temple front Greek Revival style structure built in 1849–1850. The church is a 61 feet by 57 feet, gable roofed brick structure that is dominated by a monumental, pedimented portico supported by five massive, fluted Doric order columns. A tripartite bell tower crowns the roof ridge.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

Trumansburg is a village in Tompkins County, New York, United States. The population was 1,797 at the 2010 census. The name incorporates a misspelling of the surname of the founder, Abner Treman. The Tremans spelled their surname several different ways; "Truman," however, was not one of them. The village's application for a post office established the present spelling. The Village of Trumansburg is located within the Town of Ulysses and is northwest of Ithaca, New York.

Hermon Camp House is a historic home located at Trumansburg in Tompkins County, New York. It was built in 1845-1847 and consists of a two-story central block flanked by two slightly lower wings in the Greek Revival style. The main block is dominated by a full-height portico with six fluted Doric order columns supporting full entablature and parapet. Attached to the west wing of the main block is a carriage house.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.The house is privately owned and used as a residence, and so is not open to the public. The owners occasionally open it for local charity and political events.

Second Baptist Society of Ulysses, now known as Trumansburg Conservatory for the Arts, is a historic Baptist church located at Trumansburg in Tompkins County, New York. The building has a rectangular footprint comprising a front gable main block, built between 1849 and 1851, with a later frame addition with a hipped roof completed about 1902. It measures 54.5 feet wide by 85 feet deep, with an additional 10 feet for the porch, or verandah. The porch is supported by four fluted Doric order columns in the Greek Revival style. The church was sold to the Trumansburg Conservatory for the Arts in 1982.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

Covert Historic District is a national historic district located at Covert in Seneca County, New York. The district includes 21 properties located in the hamlet of Covert. The district is primarily residential and structures represent a variety of functions and styles spanning the period from 1810 to 1920. The earliest structure was built as a tavern and it also includes the Town Hall, First Baptist Church (and cemetery), a modest schoolhouse, and Grange Meeting Hall.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Covert is a hamlet in the Town of Covert, Seneca County, New York, United States. It is located four miles (6 km) southeast of the Village of Interlaken and three miles (5 km) northwest of the Village of Trumansburg, at an elevation of 906 feet (276 m). The primary cross roads where the hamlet is located are N.Y. Route 96, West Covert Road, East Covert Road, Schier Road (CR 144A) and Lower Covert Road. The Covert Historic District is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Ulysses is a town located in northwest Tompkins County, New York, U.S. The population was 4,940 at the 2020 census. The town was named after the hero of the Odyssey. The Town of Ulysses is northwest of the city of Ithaca and is in the northwest part of Tompkins County. Taughannock Falls, the highest waterfall in the state, is in Ulysses in Taughannock Falls State Park. The falls drop 215 feet (66 m), farther than Niagara Falls, making Taughannock Falls one of the highest waterfalls east of the Rocky Mountains. Much of the town is devoted to dairy farms and fruit orchards, but the proximity to Ithaca has also brought a large number of professionals, academics and artists to the town.
