Treveneague is an area near Goldsithney, Penzance, in the civil parish of St Hilary. It was originally composed of two places, North Treveneague and South Treveneague. The Grade II listed early 19th century North Treveneague Farmhouse and Farm Buildings North of Treveneague Farmhouse are located here. In the 1860s, an Iron Age fogou was discovered at Treveneague, the location of the fogou was located using Geophysics during a 1996 Time Team episode.

The Church of St Hilary is an Early English–style church in the village of St Hilary, Cornwall, United Kingdom. It features a 13th-century tower. Following a fire in 1853, the remainder of the church was rebuilt two years later by William White. The church is dedicated to Saint Hilary of Poitiers and is a Grade I listed building. The architecture is described in Pevsner's Buildings of England: Cornwall.

The land of the parish is high enough to provide views of bays on both coasts, St Ives Bay five miles north and Mount's Bay two miles south.For the purposes of local government St Hilary has a parish council and elects councillors every four years. The principal local authority in the area is Cornwall Council. During the height of mining activity the population was three times that in the 1930s.

The Lizard and Mounts Bay Methodist Circuit is a Methodist circuit that serves the area surrounding Mount's Bay in Cornwall, England. The Methodist Circuit includes 18 Methodist churches which are Balwest, Breaney, Central, Cury, Crowlas, Degibna, Goldsithney, Kenneggy, Leedstown, Meneage, Marazion, Mullion, Ponsongath, Porthleven, Ruan Minor, St Keverne, The Lizard, and Trinity. With Breaney being in Breage Central being in Helston, Meneage being near Manaccan and Trinity being in Porkellis. Central Methodist church in Helston changed its name when Trewennack Methodist church closed. The congregations of both Trewennack and Helston joined together to create Central Methodist church. Central Methodist church is the headquarters for the Methodist circuit and is also the largest church in the circuit. The circuit had 21 churches when it was announced that some Methodist churches would close down, and the circuit thought that this would save money and make the other chapels last longer. The circuit said that the churches that close will not be known until 2017 but Trewennack, Chynhale and Godolphin have closed down and it is thought by many people that the Methodist chapels in the circuit will still be closing down. Between 2017 and 2020 three additional churches closed: Degibna, Kenneggy and Ponsongath, taking the total to fifteen.

Halamanning is a hamlet in west Cornwall, England, situated approximately 5.5 miles (8.9 km) east of Penzance and 4 miles (6.4 km) south of Hayle. Halamanning is in the parish of St Hilary (where the population taken at the 2011 census was included ) and is in the Cornwall and West Devon Mining Landscape, which was designated as a World Heritage Site in 2006.

Goldsithney (Cornish: Golsydhni, meaning fair of St Sithney) is a village in west Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is on the B3280 at grid reference SW546306, about four miles (6 km) east of Penzance and one mile (1.6 km) east of Marazion. It is in the civil parish of Perranuthnoe. The centre of Goldsithney is a conservation area and has two pubs (the Trevelyan Arms and the Crown Inn), a shop and a post office. The village holds a Charter fair in August each year.

Perran Downs is a hamlet near Perranuthnoe, Goldsithney and St Hilary in Cornwall, England. It is close by to the 13th-century St Hilary Church. Perran Downs lies in Penwith district (Cornwall and Isles of Scilly), and has a population of 1,577. A significant amount of semi-natural habitat of broad-leaved woodland can be found within and around Perran Downs. There are also some very small, isolated areas of coniferous woodland. An area of outstanding natural beauty, the landscape type is predominantly Grade 3 agricultural land of largely mixed farming with improved grassland as pasture for horses. Nearest large towns are Penzance, Hayle and Helston.

St Erth (Cornish: Lannudhno) is a civil parish and village in Cornwall, England. St Erth takes its name from Saint Erc, one of the many Irish saints who brought Christianity to Cornwall during the Dark Ages, and is at the old crossing point of the River Hayle. The Cornish name of the place derives from St Uthinoch of whom little is known. The church of St Erth dates from the 15th-century, though an older church is said to have once stood on St Erth Hill overlooking the village. The St Erth railway station is 0.75 miles from the village, at Rose-an-Grouse, and is on the Cornish Main Line from London Paddington to Penzance. It is also the junction for scenic St Ives Bay Line.

Chenhalls is a hamlet in the parish of St Erth (where the 2011 census was included), Cornwall, England. It is situated about 0.5 miles (0.80 km) north-east of the village of St Erth. Chenhalls lies on the east bank of the river Hayle at about 3 metres (9.8 ft) above sea level.
