West Medford

West Medford station is an MBTA Commuter Rail station in Medford, Massachusetts. It serves the Lowell Line, and is located at West Medford Square.

The John H. McGill House is a historic house at 56 Vernon Street in Medford, Massachusetts. Built in 1902 to a design by local architect Robert Coit, it is one of the city's finest examples of Colonial Revival architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The Mystic Water Works, also called the Mystic Pumping Station, is a historic water works at Alewife Brook Parkway and Capen Street in Somerville, Massachusetts. Built in 1862–65 by the city of Charlestown (since annexed to Boston), it is a significant example of a mid-19th century waterworks facility. The building has been listed twice on the National Register of Historic Places. The first, in 1989, is part of the city of Somerville's listings, and was made under the name "Mystic Water Works". The second is part of an umbrella listing covering the entire historic water works system of Greater Boston, and was made in 1990, listed as the "Mystic Pumping Station".

Mystic Valley Parkway station (also called Route 16 station) is a proposed light rail station on the MBTA Green Line in Somerville, Massachusetts; it would be built as part of a future third phase of the Green Line Extension (GLX). Route 16 would consist of one island platform, which would serve the E branch's two tracks.

Mystic Valley Parkway is a parkway in Arlington, Medford, Somerville, and Winchester, Massachusetts. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and forms part of Route 16.

The Charles Brooks House is a historic house at 309 High Street in Medford, Massachusetts. It is a 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame house with brick side walls, each of which has two chimneys built into it. The house is estimated to have been built around 1765, early in the Federal period. It has exterior details that are now rare in Medford, including corner quoining and cornice detailing. The house is most notable, however, for its association with Rev. Charles Brooks, a prominent figure in local history.Brooks (1795-1872) played an active role in the development of the educational systems of Massachusetts, including its normal schools. He also cowrote an early history of the city. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

The Jonathan Brooks House is a historic house at 2 Woburn Street in Medford, Massachusetts, United States. The house is estimated to have been built in the 1780s (the property is only described as including a house in 1791), although it may incorporate elements of an older structure. Jonathan Brooks, its owner in 1791, was a tanner and a member of the locally prominent Brooks family which owned much of West Medford at the time. The house is one of a small number of 18th century gambrel-roofed houses to survive in the city.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

George Dilboy Memorial Stadium is a multi-purpose public sports stadium in the city of Somerville, Massachusetts. It is the home of the Somerville Rampage semi-pro men's football team, the Boston Renegades semi-pro women's football team, as well as teams from Somerville High School, Saint Clement High School, and Matignon High School. The stadium is named for George Dilboy, who lived in Somerville and was awarded the Medal of Honor during World War I. The original stadium opened in 1955. It was demolished and rebuilt in 2006. When it opened, the current stadium seated 2,000. Since then, it has been expanded at various times to accommodate the teams playing there. Located just off of Massachusetts Route 2, it is also under two miles from Davis Station and Alewife Station, making it reachable by a variety of forms of transit.It is located close to Alewife Brook Reservation (a Massachusetts state park), as well as a Somerville city park with a swimming pool, two baseball fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, and a playground.

The Jonathan Fletcher House is a historic house in Medford, Massachusetts. The 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame house was built c. 1835; its builder clearly drew inspiration from designs published by Asher Benjamin, and is an excellent example of transitional Federal-Greek Revival architecture. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

The George P. Fernald House is a historic house at 12 Rock Hill Street in Medford, Massachusetts. The Colonial Revival mansion was built c. 1895 for George P. Fernald, an architect and leading exponent of the Colonial Revival style. The house was probably designed by Fernald, possibly with the assistance of his brother Albert, who was also an architect. The house has a two-story Ionic pedimented portico that shelters an elaborate Federal-style entry, supposedly influenced by Fernald's work making drawings of the Count Rumford Birthplace in Woburn, Massachusetts.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

The Prince Hall Mystic Cemetery, also known as the Prince Hall Cemetery, is a historic cemetery located on Gardner Street, Arlington, Massachusetts. It is said to be the only remaining African American Masonic cemetery in the United States. The cemetery is a burial place for members of the Prince Hall Grand Lodge F & AM, founded by Prince Hall in Boston in 1776. Prince Hall Freemasonry was the first African American Masonic group in the United States. In 1864, Grand Master William B. Kendall deeded this site to his lodge. The cemetery was dedicated in 1868, and put in trust to be used exclusively as a Prince Hall Freemasonry burial ground. Records indicate it was in use until about 1897 when it fell into disuse. As time passed it was forgotten until its rediscovery in 1987. It was rededicated in 1990, and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1998. Today the cemetery is the last extant cemetery associated with Prince Hall Masons. It contains a small park with a monument. A 1988 survey found remains of the original gate and an obelisk.

The John Wade House is a historic house located in Medford, Massachusetts. It is locally significant as one of only two surviving early Cape style houses in the city.
