Charles Downs II House is a historic home located near Marlowe, Berkeley County, West Virginia. It was built in 1835 and is a two-story, L-shaped, brick dwelling measuring 53 feet wide and 50 feet deep. It is five bays wide and three bays deep. Also on the property are a cement block garage and wood-frame shed dating to the 1920s.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

The Battle of Hoke's Run, also known as the Battle of Falling Waters or Battle of Hainesville, took place on July 2, 1861, in Berkeley County, Virginia (now West Virginia) as part of the Manassas campaign of the American Civil War. Notable as an early engagement of Confederate Colonel Thomas J. Jackson and his Brigade of Virginia Volunteers, nineteen days before their famous nickname would originate, this brief skirmish was hailed by both sides as a stern lesson to the other. Acting precisely upon the orders of a superior officer about how to operate in the face of superior numbers, Jackson's forces resisted General Robert Patterson's Union forces briefly and then slowly retreated over several miles.

White Bush, alternately spelled Whitebush, is one of Berkeley County, West Virginia's oldest brick mansions. It was built circa 1781–1785 by Archibald Shearer, who had purchased the entire bend of the Potomac River in this area, about 1,200 acres (4.9 km2). The area at that time was part of Frederick County, Virginia. The property was formerly owned by Lord Fairfax, Thomas Fairfax, 6th Lord Fairfax of Cameron but was confiscated as British property during the American Revolutionary War. A grist and saw mill had been established on the riverfront not far from the mansion by 1785.The mansion is a rare combination of Federal architecture in the main mansion, and a later Victorian style addition. White Bush was accepted into the National Register of Historic Places on December 10, 1980. It is alternately listed as the Archibald Shearer House. It is also listed in the Berkeley County Historical Society and the Berkeley County Historical Landmarks Commission Survey.

Spring Mills High School is the fourth high school in the Berkeley County, West Virginia school system, which opened in fall of 2013. On opening, the student body was formed from about one-half of the student body of each of Martinsburg High School and Hedgesville High School, which had become overcrowded. The current principal is Mark Salfia. The school was officially dedicated by officials including West Virginia governor Earl Ray Tomblin on August 7, 2013.

Harmony Cemetery is a historic cemetery located near Marlowe, Berkeley County, West Virginia. It is an interdenominational burial ground established about 1830. It includes a number of notable grave markers and is the site of the old Harmony Meeting House.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

Maidstone Manor Farm, also known as William R. Leigh House, is a national historic district located near Hedgesville, Berkeley County, West Virginia. It encompasses a historic farm with three contributing buildings and one contributing site, the site of a slave cabin. The plantation house is a two-story, square brick dwelling with a slate covered pyramidal roof. It is three bays wide and two bays deep and features a one bay entrance portico supported by paired Doric order columns. Also on the property are a barn and brick smokehouse. It was the birthplace of noted artist William Robinson Leigh (1866-1955), father of William Colston Leigh, Sr. (1901-1992).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The Daniel Donnelly House is a historic home located at Williamsport, Washington County, Maryland, United States. It is a Flemish bond brick, two-story dwelling on a prominent hill built about 1833. The house shows influence of the Federal and Greek Revival styles. Also on the property are a small garden house, shed, and summerhouse, all small late-20th century structures. The house is associated with the American Civil War Battle of Falling Waters, which took place July 13 and 14, 1863. The Civil War Sites Advisory Commission found the property to be the best preserved battlefield along the route of Robert E. Lee's retreat from Gettysburg.The Daniel Donnelly House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.

Priscilla Strode Turner House is a historic home located at Beddington, Berkeley County, West Virginia. It was built about 1850 and is a two-story, five-bay, brick dwelling in the Greek Revival style. It has an L-shaped plan and is topped by a gable roof. Also on the property is a stone spring house, also dated to about 1850. Angeline Turner, a daughter of Ehud and Priscilla Strode Turner, married Lincoln associate Ward Hill Lamon (1828 - 1893) in 1850.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

Bedington is an unincorporated community on Hoke Run, near its confluence with Opequon Creek, in Berkeley County, West Virginia, United States. It is located east of Hainesville on County Route 5. According to the Geographic Names Information System, Bedington has also been known as Beddington, Bedenton, and The Lick. The community derives its name from Colonel Bedinger, an early settler.

Lick Run Plantation is a historic home and related outbuildings located at Bedington, Berkeley County, West Virginia. The complex consists of a two-story stone dwelling, stone kitchen, and stone barn and corn crib. They were built after Peter Light purchased the property in 1770. Also on the property are a log house built before 1770, and the stone Bedinger Mill. The mill building was built about 1816.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Marlowe Elementary School was built in 1922 as an eight-room school to serve grades 1 through 8 in Marlowe, West Virginia. The new school allowed a number of one-room schools in the area to be closed. The Marlowe School is a two-story brick building on a concrete base. As originally built there were four rooms on each of the two main levels, with a cafeteria and mechanical rooms in the basement. Each classroom was provided with a coatroom. Windows were concentrated on the front and rear of the building with sparsely fenestrated ends. A central stairway serves all levels. The classrooms retain their original wood wainscoting and much of their original character. One story additions have been added to the rear from the 1970s on. The building presently serves grades K through 3 as a primary school.The school was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006 as the Marlowe Consolidated School.
