Paxson is an unincorporated community in Loudoun County, Virginia. Paxson lies south of Round Hill at the crossroads of Snickersville Turnpike (Virginia Secondary Route 734) and Yellow Schoolhouse Road.

The Ebenezer Baptist Churches are two Baptist churches in Loudoun County, Virginia, the "Old Ebenezer Church," built before 1769, and the "New Ebenezer Church," built about 1855. The churches are associated with corresponding old and new cemeteries.

Bloomfield is an unincorporated community in Loudoun County, Virginia. It is situated at the intersection of Airmont (VA 719) and Bloomfield (VA 626) Roads. The town of Bloomfield was founded by the Virginia General Assembly on January 13, 1816. The town was named for fields of wildflowers along the Blue Ridge near the town. During the Civil War, Confederate forces under Maj. Gen J.E.B. Stuart biouvacked in Bloomfield during the Battle of Unison. Later in the war Col. Mosby and his Rangers visited the town to divide up $173,000 they had robbed from a Union payroll train in West Virginia during the Greenback Raid. The Ebenezer Baptist Churches were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

The Battle of Unison or Battle of Union refers to a series of American Civil War cavalry skirmishes in Loudoun County, Virginia, between October 31 – November 2, 1862, between the Confederate forces of J.E.B. Stuart and various units of the Union Army of the Potomac. Although driven from the field in individual engagements, Stuart accomplished his mission to delay the enemy and screen the movements of the retreating Army of Northern Virginia.

Myrtle Hall Farm, also known as Meadow Farm, is a historic plantation house and farm located near Bluemont, Loudoun County, Virginia. The original section of the house was built about 1813, and consists of a two-story, brick main block with a smaller two-story service wing and single story kitchen addition. A two-story library addition was built in about 1850. The house is in the Federal style. Also on the property are the contributing stone springhouse (c.1813), The Mordecai Throckmorton Family Cemetery, wood shed (c. 1850), stone-lined well (c. 1813), tenant house (1949), two-story guest house (1930, 1949), tennis court (c. 1949), and stone entry (c. 1949).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.

Unison Historic District is a national historic district located at Unison, near Middleburg, Loudoun County, Virginia. It encompasses 41 contributing buildings and 3 contributing structures in the village of Unison. It is primarily residential, but also includes a church, former school, store, and saddle-maker's shop. The oldest buildings are "Butterland" and "Elton." Other notable buildings include the Thornton Walker House, Mary Phillips House, Henry Evans House, Glatton Folly (c. 1820), and Unison United Methodist Church.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003. and expanded to 62 contributing buildings in 2011 as the Unison Battlefield Historic District.

It encompasses 204 contributing buildings, 1 contributing site, and 1 contributing structure in the town of Round Hill. It includes a variety of residential, commercial, and institutional buildings, with the majority built between 1880 and 1920. Notable buildings include the Gregg-Parks-Potts House (c. 1775), Guilford Gregg Store (c. 1851), Sagamore Hall, James Copeland House (1886), Hibbs House (c. 1890), African Methodist Church (1892), Mount Zion Baptist Church, Round Hill Baptist Church, Round Hill United Methodist Church, Castle Hall, Ford's Store, Round Hill Grocery, and the former Round Hill Railroad Depot (1902).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.

Round Hill is a town in Loudoun County, Virginia, United States. Its population was 539 at the 2010 census and an estimated 656 in 2019. The town is located at the crossroads of Virginia Routes 7 and 719 (Woodgrove Road), approximately 50 miles (80 km) northwest of Washington, D.C. The town's name refers a hill two miles northeast of a 910-foot (280 m) hill used during the American Civil War as a signal post by both Confederate and Union troops. House of Round Hill was built in 2004. Patsy Cline went to Round Hill Elementary School.

The Bluemont Historic District comprises the historic core of Bluemont, Virginia. The town is located on the eastern side of Snickers Gap, with the majority of the district fronting on the Snickersville Turnpike, also designated Virginia State Route 734. The district includes 43 buildings, of which 36 are houses, five are commercial structure, a church and a community center. The oldest structure in Bluemont is Clayton Hall (1797), a large stone house. The Amos Clayton farm was located at the junction of Routes 734 and 760, now in the center of town. Relatively few pre-Civil War structures remain in Bluemont. Apart from Clayton Hall, the most significant is the Bluemont Methodist Church (circa 1851).Most of the district's houses date from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The completion of the Washington and Old Dominion Railroad line in 1900 to Bluemont brought prosperity and growth to the town. Two hotels, the Loudoun House Hotel (1900) and the Blue Ridge Inn (1904), served summer visitors to the mountaintop town.The Bluemont Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on February 23, 1984.

Bluemont is an unincorporated village in Loudoun County, Virginia located at the eastern base of Snickers Gap in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The village's center is located along Snickersville Turnpike (Virginia Route 734), 4 miles (6.4 km) west of the incorporated town of Round Hill. The village borders Virginia's fox hunting country and is within 1 mile (1.6 km) of the Appalachian Trail and the Bears Den and Raven Rocks formations in the Blue Ridge.Originally named Snickersville, the village renamed itself to Bluemont to help it attract visitors from Washington, D.C. when a predecessor of the Washington and Old Dominion Railroad extended its line westward from Round Hill in 1900. As of 2010, the Bluemont postal area had a population of 2,834. At 700 feet (210 m), it is the highest community in Loudoun County. Every fall it is home to the Bluemont Fair. A nearby landmark is Mount Weather, an operations and training facility above ground for the Federal Emergency Management Agency and is rumored to contain an underground facility designed to house or replace the U.S. government in the event that it is destroyed in an emergency (such as nuclear warfare).
