Bundesautobahn 261 (translates from German as Federal Motorway 261, short form Autobahn 261, abbreviated as BAB 261 or A 261) is an autobahn located between Hamburg and Buchholz in der Nordheide. It connects the A 7 with the A 1.

It is located on the southern border of the city state with Lower Saxony in the "Black Hills" (Schwarze Berge), a northern outlier of the Harburg Hills in the quarter of Neugraben-Fischbek. It lies within the Rosengarten State Forest close to the Daerstorf Heath (Daerstorfer Heide) between the settlement of Waldfrieden in the north (which belongs to Fischbek), Neu Wulmstorf-Tempelberg in the west and Rosengarten-Alvesen in the east. On the "summit" of the Hasselbrack there is a trigonometric point, that is located in the wood just a few metres from the footpath and which marks the highest point. On 16 July 2011 a wooden summit cross was erected here, replaced in 2013 by a summit obelisk .

It serves frequent S-Bahn (mass-transit) trains between Pinneberg and Stade (S3 line) and between Hamburg-Altona station and Neugraben station (S31 service). Until January 2008, Neugraben station was the southern terminus of the S3 service. In January 2008 the S-Bahn track to Stade via Neu Wulmstorf and Buxtehude was completed and through services were added to the timetable. Altenwerder (German pronunciation ) is a quarter in the Harburg borough of the Free and Hanseatic city of Hamburg in northern Germany. The former village on an Elbe island became a port expansion area in the 1960s. In the 1970s the city of Hamburg announced the formal dispossession of all property to build the Container Terminal Altenwerder. Only the Altenwerder church remains from the old buildings. The terminal started its operation in 2003. Today, Altenwerder is a quarter almost without population. In 2017 the population was 3.
