Heelsum is a village in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is located in the municipality of Renkum, west of Arnhem.Part of the Battle of Arnhem was fought in and around Heelsum. The initial British landings were carried out just north of the village.

A50, the section of Rijksweg 50 that is constructed as controlled-access highway, is a north–south motorway in the Netherlands, running from Eindhoven in the province of North Brabant, northwards passing by the cities of Oss, Nijmegen, Arnhem and Apeldoorn, to its northern terminus in the province of Gelderland near the city of Zwolle. The highway is maintained by Rijkswaterstaat.

Heteren is a village in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is located in the municipality of Overbetuwe, about 12 km (7.4 mi) southwest of Arnhem on the south bank of the Rhine. Heteren was a separate municipality until 2001, when it became a part of the new municipality of Overbetuwe. Heteren is home to the main distribution centre of leading Dutch pharmacy chain Kruidvat.

Operation Pegasus was a military operation carried out on the Lower Rhine near the village of Renkum, close to Arnhem in the Netherlands. Overnight on 22–23 October 1944, the Allied military forces, MI9, the British intelligence organization, and the Dutch Resistance successfully evacuated 138 men, mostly soldiers trapped in German-occupied territory who had been in hiding since the Battle of Arnhem. The fighting north of the Rhine in September had forced the 1st British Airborne division to withdraw, leaving several thousand men behind. Several hundred of these were able to evade capture and go into hiding with the assistance of the Dutch Resistance. Initially the men hoped to be able to wait for the British 2nd Army to resume its advance and thus rescue them, but when it became clear that the Allies would not cross the Rhine that year the men decided to escape back to Allied territory. The first escape operation (Pegasus I) was a success, but a second operation (Pegasus II) was compromised and failed. Despite this, the Resistance continued to help the evaders and many more men were able to escape in small groups over the winter.

The College was founded in 1999 in a merging of several institutes within the City of Renkum. The College has 89 teachers (2013) and 1'144 students (2014). The current Rector is Ms. Gabri Maessen.

Wolfheze is a railway station located in Wolfheze, Netherlands. The station opened in 1845 and is on the Amsterdam–Arnhem railway. The train service are operated by Nederlandse Spoorwegen.

It is a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in the period 1998–present.Gault Millau awarded the restaurant 16 out of 20 points.Owner and head chef of Het Koetshuis is Wicher Löhr. In 1986 Wicher and his wife Saskia took over the restaurant.Het Koetshuis is a member of Alliance Gastronomique Néerlandaise.

The Duizendjarige den was a scots pine (Pinus sylvestris) in the Wolfhezerbossen near Wolfheze, Netherlands. The tree fell down on 28 May 2006. It is estimated that the tree was nearly four hundred years old.The tree did not show any sings of illness but the trunk was hollow. The trunk had a perimeter of 430 centimeters and was 22 meters long. It is estimated that the tree germinated around the year 1600 and that it was one of the oldest trees in the Netherlands before it fell down. The name Duizendjarige den (Dutch language: "thousand year pine") was thought up during the second half of the nineteenth centaury by a group of landscape painters connected with the Oosterbeekse school.
