Wellington Square, Los Angeles

LaFayette Square is a historic semi-gated neighborhood in the central region of Los Angeles, California. Although founded in 1913 by real estate developer George Lafayette Crenshaw, it is named after the French Marquis de Lafayette, who fought alongside Colonists in the American Revolution. Lying west of Crenshaw Boulevard in the Mid-City area, it was designated by the city as a Los Angeles Historic Preservation Overlay Zone in 2000 for its significant residential architecture and history.

The Paul R. Williams Residence was the home of the architect and Spingarn Medal winner Paul Williams. The residence is located in the Lafayette Square neighborhood of Mid-City, Los Angeles. The house has been designated as a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument by the city of Los Angeles. This four-bedroom, 4,440-square-foot (412 m2) house was designed and built in the International style in 1952.Though known as an "architect to the stars", working in many exclusive Los Angeles neighborhoods, the African American Williams built his own house in a neighborhood free of racial restrictions.

McCarty Memorial Christian Church is a Gothic Revival church of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) located at 4101 West Adams Boulevard in the historic West Adams district of Los Angeles, California. McCarty was founded in 1932 as a white congregation, and gained attention when it integrated and became a multi-racial congregation in the mid-1950s.

Ebony Repertory Theatre (ERT) is a non-profit theatre company founded in June 2007 by Wren T. Brown and the late Israel Hicks. ERT is the resident company and operator of the Nate Holden Performing Arts Center, a 400-seat regional theatre in Los Angeles, California's Mid-City community. ERT, whose award-winning theatre is its cornerstone, is the only African American professional theatre company (Actors Equity) in Los Angeles. ERT also presents a music series, a dance series, lecture series and other perennial programming. Under the leadership of Producing Artistic Director, Wren T. Brown, ERT "seeks to bring diverse, high standard, professional performing arts to the Mid-City community..."ERT is known for productions featuring performances by theatre, film and television actors, including Tony Award winners Roger Robinson, Ruben Santiago Hudson, L. Scott Caldwell, Leslie Odom Jr., Phylicia Rashad, Billy Porter and Garth Fagan, Emmy Award winners, Obba Babatunde, Blair Underwood, Keith David, Paula Kelly, Glynn Turman, Loretta Devine and Levar Burton, GRAMMY Award winners Dianne Reeves, Billy Childs, India Arie, Levar Burton and Blair Underwood, NEA Jazz Masters Award Winner Ahmad Jamal and Academy Award winner Ruth E. Carter. ERT's mission is "To create, develop, nurture and sustain a world-class professional theatre rooted in the experience of the African diaspora." Its goal is "To build and expand a multicultural audience that contributes to the cultural understanding among people of diverse backgrounds."

World on Wheels was a roller rink in Los Angeles, California, United States. The rink opened in 1981, then closed in 2013. After reopening in 2017, it closed again in 2020.The rink is featured in the HBO documentary film United Skates.

Jewel's Catch One was a dance bar owned by Jewel Thais Williams, located on West Pico Boulevard in Los Angeles. Open for forty years, it was the longest running black gay dance bar in Los Angeles. After nearly closing in 2015, it was purchased by Mitch Edelson - who reopened under new management. Briefly called Union after the change in management, it has since reverted to the Catch One moniker.

Expo/Crenshaw station is a light rail station in the Los Angeles Metro Rail system located in the Jefferson Park neighborhood of Los Angeles at the intersection of Crenshaw and Exposition Boulevards. During construction, it was known as the Crenshaw station. The station is the transfer point between the E Line, which stops at two street-level platforms alongside Exposition Boulevard, and the K Line, which has its northern terminus at a single island platform under Crenshaw Boulevard.
